OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Soap Dispenser

OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Soap Dispenser

Read reviews that mention:

I have always liked OXO products and own many of them. However this dispenser does not work well for dish soap, which is the reason I purchased it. When pumped, the soap comes out below the top and runs down the sides of the dispenser. I even tried watering down the dish soap thinking it may be too thick but still have the same problem. I’ve yet to find a dish soap dispenser that does not have this issue. At this point, I just take the top off and pour the soap onto the dish rag which defeats the purpose for purchasing it.

Guess I’ll keep looking for one that works.....

Filled up with ordinary Soft Soap and any attempt to use the dispenser resulted in soap spewed all out around the rim. The rim has an interlock which was correctly engaged, but it just doesn't seal properly. It's a huge mess to clean and return. In addition, waited close to one month to receive the item. Very disappointed in Oxo. Reading the reviews more carefully for this and earlier soap dispensers, they have had a lot of problems with design and/or quality control which they have not addressed.
This is my second stainless steel soap dispenser from OXO. I had the first one for about three years when I noticed that the stainless steel spout and top opening edges of it rusted. Hopefully that won’t happen again with this newer version because the entire spout and lid is made of hard plastic and rubber. I had to wait a couple of weeks for it to be available for shipment but it was worth it. So far I love it and it’s very easy to use and refill.
Tried two types of liquid soap. Completely emptied the mechanism of the first liquid soap. (PITA) Both leaked through the sides where you attach the mechanism to the tank. Almost none was delivered from the correct opening. Added water. Tried just water. Nope. It’s solid. Looks nice...for excrement.
Awful! Do not buy! It doesn’t even squirt out it comes out the sides and it’s a mess.
Replaced a motion sensor version of this soap dispenser (different brand). It kept dropping liquid. This is much better and with a soft raised pump head that is superior to the other Oxo dispense I have had for years.
So much nicer looking sitting beside my kitchen faucet than a plastic bottle of dish soap. I was looking for one that could be used with one hand without having to pick it up if all you want is a "dab" of soap (which goes a long way) and this one does it. Brushed nickel perfectly matches my faucet hardware and see thru bottom is convenient for knowing when to refill.
This is a simple, chic soap dispenser and so easy to use. I don’t understand the bad reviews. Just pour the dish soap in, put the top back in and twist lightly until it locks. Soaps comes out when you press with little effort.
