Another great installment in the Liz Lucas Cozy mysteries.
I’ve been reading author Dianne Harman for at least a year now. She has such an interesting way of telling her stories. Often the reader will go from a chapter with the protagonist, to a chapter going back to what led up to the killing. It’s a creative way to tell a story.
The series is one of my favorites out of the many that this author pens. Series lead and namesake, Liz Lucas has been great to read, and watch grow.
MURDER AT THE BED & BREAKFAST was a well written story with an engrossing plot that really grabbed my attention. With a fast flow, I made quick work of finishing this book. But now I have to wait for the next.
For fans of the Liz Lucas series, you are in for a treat! Make sure you check out the fabulous recipes at the back of this book!
Murder at the Bed & Breakfast by Dianne Harman is a comfortable and engaging afternoon read. I've enjoyed reading previous books in this series and was looking forward to Liz and Roger's wedding. Ms. Harman's characters and setting draws me into the story as Liz follows the clues to help Seth, the bumbling chief of police solve the murder.
Another great book by Dianne Harman. On Liz Lucas and Roger Langley' s wedding day, a sister of one of their guests is murdered at Cindy's Bed and Breakfast. Instead of taking the week off for their honeymoon, Liz and Roger agree to help Renee and Bob find the killer.
The list of suspects is endless and each one has a motive. What follows is a delightful story with many twists and turns.
I recommend this one to anyone who likes stories about amateur sleuths.
The plot is ok with lots of alternative murderers. However the dialogue is wooden and the characters as unreal as paper dolls. Worst of all are some stereotypical characters and a wedding designed by Honey BooBoo's mom, all described by the author in a manner that made me question whether the author is laughing at the reader.
This is the first book I have read by Liz Lucas. Once I started reading it I couldn’t put it down. Now I have to investigate to find out if Liz Lucas and Dianne Harman are the same awesome writers.
I've been reading lots of Dianne Harman's novels over the last months but I've never written a review before because each book had a self-help section at the end and that really turned me off. Since this book doesn't have one, I can finally say that I've enjoyed every book that I've read. The stories are simple "cozy" mysteries, not too complicated, but enjoyable with interesting characters, some good recipes, and friendly dogs.
This book was very amateurishly written, also had many grammatical and spelling errors. In the age of grammar and spellcheck, I am shocked neither the author, editor or publisher caught these errors.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It is the first time I have read any of Dianne Harman's work and I was pleasantly surprised.
It is very well written, no grammatical errors or bad spelling and well punctuated . This is important to me as it is vital for a good reading experience.
The characters are very well fleshed out with excellent descriptives to feed the readers imagination.
It is an excellent murder mystery plot, with the settings and locations described in a manner that makes a seasoned reader feel that they are actually there, watching all the events unfold. Also, there are no gratuitous sexualized scenes, which is a definite plus these days.
The author has exercised such great skills that it is not easy to guess who the actual culprit is until you almost get to the end of the book. And there are several suspects who feel aggrieved enough to commit murder as revenge.
An altogether enjoyable read with a good plot and characters.
Yet another good story by Diane Harman. Always enjoyable. Good strong characters,

Love all of Dianne Harman's bookd
Another excellent read.
More of a romance and a very soft mystery
Devastating opening, with a black-dressed gunman barging into a room and killing the occupant. Liz Lucas is about to marry, thinking she is finished with solving murders. How wrong she is... We meet a host of characters from unscrupulous reverends to a vindictive, crazed woman grieving for her soul-mate. The newly-weds set out to solve the crime and help their friends. A great tale, set in a plausible environment of crooked small-time politicos and small-town jealousies and enmities. Tense, gripping, taut and thrilling.
