Kidkraft Vintage Kitchen in Pink

Kidkraft Vintage Kitchen in Pink

Read reviews that mention:

Like most, I research reviews and star ratings on Amazon before buying. This retro little girl's kitchen had tons of good reviews (1600 total at the time---most positive). But there was always the caveat: "Well, it DOES take some time to assemble....". Say what????? This entire kitchen arrived in a box about 40" long, 15" wide, 4" thick. With not even a PHOTO of the dang product on the outside to go by. THAT should have been our first clue to just send it back. When the box was opened out sprung about 20+ pink pieces of formica-covered masonite---heavy as heck (that's good and bad). And a crazy conglomeration of screws, bolts (some pink, some not). Plus a FORMIDABLE manual on how to build the entire dang kitchen. Are. You. Kidding. Me? My husband's a mechanic-farmer-type guy. He can assemble absolutely anything almost blind-folded. And here he was buried in a pile of pink. (Yes, it WAS kind of funny....until it went on for hours.) I'm a former editor. I read and read and read the instructions and I couldn't even begin to figure them out. Who writes this stuff? Never mind, don't answer that. And hubby's intuitive skills on how to assemble pink boards and screws fell, well, flat. He's on hour #6 and giving it a rest until tomorrow. THIS is absolutely ridiculous. If we wanted to build an entire dang mini-kitchen, we could have just taken some bubble-gum pink spray paint and decent pine wood and done it ourselves. This is NOT rocket science. But apparently writing the blasted directions IS! Sheez, KidCraft, hire a freaking English-speaking copy-writer and then put MOST of your product together BEFORE you ship it out. So disgusted.

So cute! My 4 year old loves it but I think anybody who is older 3 years old would enjoy this kitchen very well.
It seems like the price changes quite a bit on Amazon so we kept the item in the cart to see the price changes.
We got kidkraft vintage kitchen in pink for around $80 and we think it was a great deal. :)
We wish the telephone is somewhat attached so that we won't lose it...but other than that, we are very happy with the product.
It so cute and sturdy...my husband was complaining about how hard it is to set up before Christmas...but he did it...so great job! :)
I purchased this for my five and seven year old girls for Christmas. It is cute and they love it. Way better quality than the plastic counterparts and I would rather put one of these together than the plastic ones. It probably took me about an hour and a half total for my wife and I to assemble it. The instructions weren't perfect, but we were able to get the job done with minimal issue. I am pretty handy and don't shy away from assembling projects so this wasn't a big deal.

My girls love it and play with it pretty much everyday so in my mind, it was totally worth it!
Received this product with wrong pieces. So I was unable to put it together for my daughter's Christmas. Then when welected received the correct side my husband found that the pre-drilled holes were misplaced (see pencil marks where they should have been in picture) AND there were also missing holes. There was no hole for the phone (see picture). My husband had to re-drill holes just to be able to put it together, which means there are only partly screwed in correctly. Thank goodness my husband is in construction, otherwise we would have had to send the whole thing back. Very poorly made, missing parts, poorly drilled holes. Bad quality. Disappointing to say the least.
We have had this kitchen now for 3 months. I will state it is very cute and perfect for young kids and even older ones. we have an 19 month old and she loves it. We did anchor it to the wall due to the possibility of it tipping over. For set up I read reviews where it took hours to assemble. I would agree in the fact that it took my husband and father in law 2.5 hours to assemble. There are different color screws which in the directions it does not indicate which screws to use. So you kind of have to figure that out. There were also some pieces that were slightly off measurement. Such as the base of the kitchen. It slightly sticks out a little to much which makes the bottom fridge door not latch and stay closed. There are also a couple pieces that slightly stick out the back. You don't notice it unless you assemble it. I have talked to other friends who bought this kitchen in a different color and they had similar issues or friends who bought a kids kitchens from the same company but different design and had similar issues. It not enough of a problem where I feel I need to return it. Just a flaw in manufacturing.
It’s packaged like a Tetris , so once you take it out of the box, good luck if you need to pack it back and return it. It took me about 3.5-4 hours to finish it, in the process I noticed a scratched part but since it was still functional I decided to ignore it, then when I was basically done, I realized the phone was broken, I called to have that specific part replaced and they asked me to send the whole thing back!!! NO WAY! I was not going to spend another 3 hours disassembling it to spend another hour packing it! I got a discount tho. And the kitchen is super cute my daughter loves it, it looks adorable in her playground.
The assembly part is not that bad, not difficult, just time consuming.
Try to check all parts before assembling in case you need to have it replaced, because they will not replace individual pieces.
Other than that, lovely toy.

My 15 months old little girl loves this play kitchen. It's well made and very pretty. I can't believe it makes her stop and play. It did take me an hour and half to build, but it all worth it. We are very happy.
Very nice and sturdy kitchen, my daughter loves it. Looks elegant as well unlike those bulky plastic ones.
It does take some time to assemble though and instructions could be a bit more detailed. I suggest that each piece of wood should be marked not only with numbers but side A and side B to make it easier to assemble. Took us 3.5h to build it. Otherwise superb.
Disappointed in the scratches and chips in the kitchen I expected perfection for £99 as it’s a Xmas present not enough time to send back and get a return. Putting it together don’t tell you what screws go into what part in the instructions it comes in a million pieces takes hours to put together it’s very frustrating and time consuming, it’s a sold built kitchen looks nice just shame about the chips and scratches, to many parts if you haven’t built flat pack before don’t attempt it
My daughter likes this she’s just tuned one. After using it a month though 2 of the doors that don’t have the plastic grip locks just stay open!shame but besides this very steady and great it comes with a wall grip.I was worried it would be too big but not at all my 1 year old is on the taller size but if I’d bought it for a regular size 3 year old as what it says is suitable for it would have been way too small?my opinion only though it’s very sweet and super easy to assemble thanks
