I received this furniture set about a week ago in two boxes. One of them was partially busted open along one side, and that immediately gave me concern about potentially missing or damaged pieces. Thankfully, everything arrived fine. Here are my findings after having used the set for a few days sitting out on the patio and enjoying the limited sunshine we have had in California.
PROS
- Very well-packaged. Even survived some rough handling by FedEx
- Fairly inexpensive
- Easy installation/assembly: all screws are the same size so I did not have to check which one went to which hole
- Wrench was included, and so no additional tools were required
- Very straight-forward, easy to follow instructions
- No lingering smell after a few hours
- VERY comfortable cushions
- Material seems well made
- All parts were labeled with letters that corresponded with the ones in the instructions (making part identification easy)
CONS
- The included wrench made my fingers VERY sore after tightening all the screws. I suggest you use your own, proper tool instead
- There was an initial, strong smell after unpacking the parts, but went away after a few hours of airing out
- Am not a fan of the "PamaPic" logo plate at the front of the furniture pieces as it stands out a lot. Thankfully, it was easy to break the logo plate for removal. I believe it would be much better to have the logo placed ONLY at the BACK of the furniture instead so it is less intrusive
Overall, this set of furniture looks great in our backyard and lends a very relaxing, luxurious feel to the patio without the high prices we found in retail stores.
But there were several flaws in the manufacturing of the pieces that led to me not being able to completely assemble the set properly.
The seats of each chair are designed to be screwed in 2 spots to the arms and in 1 spot to the back piece. For one chair, the screw hole for the back piece was on the other side of the pole, making it impossible to attach the seat to the back piece. For the other chair, the screw holes don't align, making it also not possible to attach the seat in this instance. In the short term, this is fine and the chairs are functional (aside from the second chair -- I believe the pieces were warped in a way that now all 4 legs don't sit flat, so the chair wobbles slightly). But thinking of long term, I'm sure that the back part of the seat will start to sink in due to the constant weight of people sitting on it.
Additionally, the feet of the table don't sit flat either, leading to a wobbly table.
If these flaws weren't present, I would absolutely rate the set 5 stars. It is exactly what I would have wanted in an outdoor furniture set. In total, it took probably under 2 hrs to assemble the pieces. My back balcony is rather small, measuring 57 x 130 inches, but the set fits comfortably (we put the chairs at an angle, rather than flat against the wall), even when you pull the ottoman out. However, with the above being said, I question how long the durability of this set will be.
I have reached out to the seller, explained the flaws and sent pictures, and am currently awaiting a resolution.
Edit: I have been in touch with the seller and they were very professional in resolving my issue. At this point I changed my rating from 3 to 5.
I've had my set for just under a week and it looks exactly how I wanted. It is exactly what I expected...HOWEVER, this set is not for someone who sits outside often and for long lengths of time. I enjoy my porch, I am outside everyday for hours. Yesterday I went to a store that shall not be named and had to purchase better cushions. The cushions that come with are already denting and flattening under my weight (160.) Other than that I love this set!
Love this beautiful set! Elegant, comfortable, and practical. It comes in 2 boxes, that include all parts, screws and instructions. Took us about 15 min to put together, was very easy and quick. Extremely durable, and comfortable for your back yard or patio. Highly recommended especially for that price
Received within a week after ordered it. Packaged very well and no damage at all. It came in with two boxes, one with footrests and middle table and one with chairs. Overall quality is very good, doesn’t like cheap material sold elsewhere. One thing I have to bring up is which I like it the most, the pre drilled holes matches up the screw position perfectly which I found always challenging in some other products. Cushions are comfortable to sit on and pretty soft. Overall I like the style color and quality of it. Happy for the purchase! I will upload some pics once the whether gets better!
I ordered this set for my stone patio . They were absolutely stunning . Even out of the box before I put them together I could see the quality . It was easy to put together, took me very little time. The wicker is a dark rich chocolate brown. The cushions are so comfortable. I had family come by and when they saw the set they were so impressed with the look.
This chair set is low end junk. If it was $200 then I wouldn’t be angry about it but it is over double that and not worth it at all. I would not buy this set. Spend an extra $100/$200 for quality. I wish I had. Also, I do not believe these positive reviews are legitimate. I thought they were but now that I am sitting in the chair there is no way ppl are praising this set.
The Bad:
- Cushions are poor quality polyester. They are not soft and the foam flattens easily. These will not last even weeks in the sun before yellowing.
- The seat bed is not sturdy and stretches with a deep butt indentation after sitting in it for only 5 min. I am 176 lbs.
- I am 5’10” and sitting in this thing upright the back rest barely comes to my shoulder blades.
- The ottoman is too low to be comfortable. The angle will give you a back ache within 30 minutes. Useless!
- Screw holes don’t align well. You can work around this so it’s not a big deal. Never seen furniture assembly that didn’t have some issues but thought I should mention it.
The Good:
- It does seem sturdy.
- That’s the only good thing I can say about this.
