I need a bigger table to replace my old one and this table is way beyond my expectations. It industrial vintage surface looks very high end quality and it surprisingly matches with my wood floor. I am a part time interior designer, so usually I am very picky about furniture but this one, OMG, Still I couldn’t believe $69 can get such good design with so many details and good quality. Other comparable good looking study desks are at least $150+. Also I follow the installation guide video and i only spend like 15 mins by myself to set it up.
This desk was even more beautiful than the pictures on the site.. we love farmhouse rustic and the wood look is amazing and my husband love it for his new gaming station .. super easy to assemble (pay attention to directions) my kids were able to help put together..
Perfect for my work from home two days a week . Easy to assemble and does not take up space.
This is a very nice looking desk. And 100% practical. However, when it came down to assembling it, I noticed some missing hardware. It came with like 3-4 sets of different size screws. One size set was missing one and another size set had an extra screw. So I thought....hmmm, ok well maybe I can use that "extra" in place of where that "missing" once could go.
So that was somewhat successful (question mark?). But then when I tried putting the legs on the base, it seems to be made weird and a little off. There was a hole where the screw should go in and connect the legs and base. But there was part of the metal leg that didn't align perfectly. At first I couldn't get the screw in and was so frustrated!!! Especially since (side note) I had previously ordered a desk from this company and turned out they were out of stock after I order it...and I WFH right now due to COVID19 and needed a desk ASAP and had to finally wait for this one to show and then for it to not work???? UGHHH
I couldn't wait to return and wait for another, etc. I WFH and needed a desk NOW! So I wiggled the crap outta that screw and I made it fit...but mind you, it wasn't perfect and left the desk wobbly. I tighten up all the screws as much as I could to lessen the wobble....that helped.
So yea, 3 stars cuz it looks nice and technically working for me to do what I need to use it for. Again, the wobble isn't terrible at all. Life goes on.
Once assembled, the desk is actually pretty decent. It’s cheap but it gets the job done and it’s sturdy enough and the little pouch to put your books and papers is convenient.
My biggest issue was the assembly. The instructions are easy to follow and this would’ve been an easy assembly if it weren’t for QC issues.
One of the bars that the legs attach to on the bottom of the desk had poorly drilled holes where the screws go in. The metal was raised, which meant the screw couldn’t go in deep enough to catch on to the threads and screw in. I had to take a hammer and bang on it to flatten the metal so that the screw could go in.
Next, the little pouch thing that goes on the side has misaligned holes where the screws go it. When I screwed one side in, the other hole was slightly too far to the right. I had to widen the hole with scissors.
On the matter of principle, I think it’s necessary to dock points off. It’s one thing to maybe need to use your own screwdriver to assemble a piece of furniture, but if I have all the tools and parts and instructions in front and I can’t assemble the desk because it was poorly manufactured, then that’s on them.
Love this table fit really good in my computer room !!
I bought it a few weeks ago and now I am buying a second desk because I like it a lot. It's simple. Assembly was easy and there were a couple of oops but easy to disassemble and re-assemble again making the whole process painless.
I wouldn't call it a writing desk because my definition of a writing desk means it requires that the surface must be absolutely smooth. The desk is not smooth. It has some wood texture. I am not using it for writing but to put my computer devices like printers and monitors which was my intent.
They are very simple - just the way it should be. And they're not wobbly as some cheap desks would be. And I am getting a second desk to make my desk much wider and hold more items.
Wood is really pretty
