We bought a couch with 2 reclining seats, each with a USB port (that we don't use) and so needed 2 batteries to avoid an electrical cord running across the floor. Couldn't decide between the Limoss and the Lavolta batteries so I bought one of each-- here's my comparison after about a month. First off they both work well even with the USB ports, so don't be afraid of the product description that says otherwise ( I'm sure they would drain fast if using the USB's but we don"t). The Lavolta holds a charge for over 2 weeks, the Limoss only about a week, but the low-charge 'beep' of the Limoss is very handy. To check the charge of the Lavolta you have to pull it our from under the couch and check the blue lights. We are happy with both but bought another Lavolta and will keep the Limoss as a back-up. We also bought a separate charger to use for that. Hope this helps!
Ok, so I've read all the mixed reviews and wanted to get my experience out there for others. New Ashley couch and loveseat both with dual recliners. Hooked up ONE battery to both recliners on each, so one battery for the couch and one for the loveseat, so one battery is being used for two recliners. After two weeks of use, one battery is still showing two blue lights of charge and the other is showing three blue lights indicating 50% and 75% respectively. We are only two in the house most of the time except weekends with kids show up so normally really on one recliner on each is being used on a daily basis. My take is the batteries are holding up pretty good and will update my review if things change. My guess is I will only have to charge them around once a month with normal daily use which isn't bad. Overall I believe these batteries work very well. Note - we haven't used the USB ports to charge our phones but they are installed on the furniture.
I have only had these for a few hours. No reason for 4 stars instead of 5 other than that I have not had them long enough. However, beware of how you install and run the wires. There are lots of moving sliding metal pinch points in a power recliner. I almost cut one of the cords in half because I did not take care to first use zip ties to manage any slack. Also, I just laid the battery underneath laying flat and did not realize how when you close the recliner, space gets tight. If I was not watching the battery could have gotten crushed. So this is just my public service announcement to give care to how you place the battery and manage your cables. Not a flaw of the product. I did not like that there are NO instructions. Its simple enough to figure out if you just pay attention. But please unplug power from the wall before you start messing with wires. It would be a shame to short out your battery or motor while trying to figure it out. Happy reclining.
Was looking for a way to make our electrical corded recliners not need the cords. I did not want to have floor outlets installed. This is the answer. They last several months between charges and charge back is fast.
Nice I won't have to worry about my elderly mother stuck in her chair during a power outage!
Very well made and the LED charge indicator lights are nice. After the first 4 days of normal use of our new couch, I plugged it in to find it was still at 75% charge! I plan to charge once a week and I'll update when we get more time with it. But so far it has well exceeded our expectations!
Installed in Manwau recliner (no USB ports or any other power drainers). Came with extensions cables which was very helpful because I didn't have to cut the existing tie straps holding the existing cable bundles (i.e. made for a quick install). I charged the battery for about 8 hours to get all four led lights lit (so I assume it was fully charged?). After about 3 weeks of use and ~60 cycles, still going strong, and all 4 LED lights are still lit when I press the what I guess is the battery check button.
Unkowns: 1) Since the battery has not run down, I have no idea if/how the "audio alert" works. 2) It will be months, maybe years, before I know how many drain and charge cycles this battery will be good for.
Negatives: no instructions (installation, safety, charging recommendations/guidelines, meaning of LED lights ...). I noticed no UL or other similar safety certification so I would be leary of charging this battery if I was not home (fire?).
Very bad quality.
Corked well for few month , after that doesn't hold charge at all.
Full charge enough for few operations of recliner.
Functions as expected. Great to be free of electrical cables across the floor.
Reliable
