I have ordered about 18 of these blankets to have around my house and give as gifts. The last few that we have recieved have been cut and sewn very uneven. When the blanket is folded in half you can really see the difference. This is not going to work when gifting. I have reached out to Woolrich only to learn that they don’t actually manufacture these quilts. They let another company use their name. This is a defective and I am not willing to continuously order replacements and hope they are made better. It’s a shame because they are so beautiful and warm.
Really shocked as Woolrich had done right by me in the past. But I've had this blanket for less than three months and the threading is coming out literally all over. The blanket has only had gentle use as a throw blanket. I'm flabbergasted at either the horrible quality control or horrible quality of the stitching. It's also a bit smaller than I think the measurements state.
I ordered the Winter Hills tan throw to cover some dog damage on my new sofa. It's exactly what I wanted!
First of all, this is an actual pieced (not printed) quilt, which is what I was looking for. The piecing gives it a high quality, heirloom look. It doesn't look like I just threw a bedspread over the couch!
The colors are rich and subtle - a mixture of tan, cream, dark taupe, a brownish olive green that's more brown than green, and a bit of black. The quilting is done in simple lines - no curlicues or other busy patterns.
The piecing, colors, and simple quilting add up to a quilt that could fit many decors - lodge/cabin, country, industrial, Americana - without being too fussy, cutesy, or over the top themed. Maybe craftsman would be a good style description- simple, classic, well-made.
I absolutely love this throw! We bought them to go on the back of our recliners as a throw when we’re cokd, but also to dress up the chairs a bit. They’re well made and the perfect weight for year round use. I love how they’re oversized and reversible!
the cover is 68 x 50. not 70! its very light weight. not for winter use. or being over 5' 2" more like for a preteenager or so.
ill just use it for when kids come visit. my search continues...

The throw replaces a 10 year old handmade quilt that is just starting to get raggedy. I want to save wear-and-tear on my current quilt so I bought this one. I am very pleased with the quality, softness, size, and color. Makes a great substitute for my current blankey. Plus it it lighter and is workable for our summer nights -- so far we haven't exceeded 65 degrees F at night so for those of you in hotter regions you might want to consider a linen sheet for a throw. Any, I am very happy with the throw.
Woolrich is quality - and this item did not disappoint. It's great looking and manly design, a wonderful gift item that most men probably do not own. I bought it to put at the foot of my bed, and liked it so well, I went back on Amazon and purchased it's big brother, the full-size queen comforter set as well. The photo shows both items, the throw is folded in half and is at the foot of the bed.
I find the blanket to be very attractive and don't have anything negative to say about it. It was purchased to hide damage to the couch from our small dogs and also to further protect that couch from them. It has served us well though the dogs have finally begun to wear it down. I want to say that the makers never promised this blanket to be dog proof!
But its done quite well given what its been through.
This is not a skimpy quilt. It is well made and warm, washing and drying beautifully in the dryer. Excellent quality and value for the money!
This quilted throw looks great...until you wash it. The black fades significantly and after just two washes it is really faded. Not the usual quality I’d expect from Woolrich. Frustrating!
