Sometimes we take for granted or underestimate the importance of characters in a book. They could be the difference between loving or hating a book. In this instance, the female lead, Elle, really affected my feelings/perspective on this book.

When you’re a reader, there are certain times and books that will require you to suspend your belief which depending on who you are, may be difficult to come by. From the get go, Katee Robert is asking you to do that in regard to Elle’s plan of seducing her boss, Nathan. Considering how she’s being presented to us, it does take a little suspension of belief on your part to buy into the extreme and logic of Elle’s intention. I’m one who doesn’t have much trouble overlooking the iffiness (for lack of a better word) of this plot point, it was a little preview of my eventual issue of Elle.

Maybe “issue” is the wrong word choice. I didn’t completely dislike her, but she made it difficult to find her charming and endearing as I have with other female leads in other books of this genre. While I sympathized with much of her situation (i.e. douchebag of an ex who gave her trust issues and an over-controlling, judgemental prude of a mother), Elle’s own snooty, prissy and superficial with moments of childishness overrode that aspect of her character and left her unlikeable traits at the forefront. To be fair, Elle wasn’t like this throughout the story. She actually underwent a change (as to be expected) after meeting Gabe. But first impressions are hard to forget and it made an imprint on me. She became more likeable as the story went on but I couldn’t help but feel those negative traits of her are just simmering under the surface, even when you eventually learn the origins of much of her behavior.

The thing that save this book was Gabe Schultz. As borderline as I was with Elle, I genuinely liked Gabe. He was a walking fantasy: self-reformed businessman bad boy (complete with tattoos) with a gentleman streak within. Gabe really came off as sincere in wanting to prove to Elle that he’s more than he seems and you end up feeling bad when she dismisses him so easily, in the beginning at least. He was a great combo of funny and dirty which made for a fun read of his scenes baiting Elle. Like I said earlier, he was the saving grace for this book.

In the end, this book was not bad...but it wasn’t great either (didn’t help that I’ve recently read a couple of books within this thread that were really good). Too bad since the synopsis was pretty intriguing and provided an opportunity for Robert to take the story in a hilarious and entertaining direction. At least in my mind. But the story I got was lukewarm with moments of humor and hot sex that could’ve been better if the leading lady was a little more likeable. Fortunately, her counterpart made up for it and kept this book from being rated lower. Just goes to show how important a compelling and engaging character can be.

Elle has had terrible taste in men. Her mom keeps setting her up with guys but they do nothing for her. She works in an art gallery with Nathan. She has had a thing for him since she started working for him. So after throwing out hints, she decides to surprise him in his bed and seduce him. But once there she realizes it's not Nathan and she gets one look at him and runs. She is totally humiliated and when she finds out the guy is Gabe, Nathan's brother, she's horrified. Gabe is a tattooed, gorgeous bad boy. He owns several nightclubs and a tattoo shop. He doesn't go for good girls but something about Elle is just too sexy to resist. Elle puts up a fight not wanting to have anything to do with bad boys. But Gabe thinks they could be great together so he's not giving up. When a misunderstanding between him and Elle, can he win her back or will lose the only woman for him?
Great story with a couple that proves opposites attract. I thought Elle was a little snobbish. Just because one guy years ago did her wrong, doesn't mean all will. All tattooed guys are not thugs and cheaters. Gabe was a rough guy but with a big heart. Very steamy sex.

Coordinator Elle has the hots for her boss Nathan and tired of waiting for him to make a move she decides to go for it by sneaking into his bed one night and things go better than she expected when passion exploded between them and he made her cum . Only once she screamed in horror as she realizes the man who just rocked her world wasn't Nathan but a stranger .
Woken from sleep to a dream woman climbing into bed with him Gabe doesn't stop Elle and once they are done she runs from the bedroom when she realizes her mistake. But she can't run fast enough or fall enough from the man who realizes that he may have been the right bed but the wrong guy in her mind but he's gonna do everything he can to make her realize she had the right bed and the right guy to begin with.
Beautifully written by the immensely talent Katee Robert's this one will have you addicted to her writing if you weren't already ! She's an author who never disappoints !
Elle was planning the ultimate seduction when she snuck into her boss’ room. Nathan was everything she could expect and a perfect match on paper, even though their physical chemistry was non-existent. But then his brother enters the room and a mix-up happens. Ooops!

Being dumped by her jerk of an ex-boyfriend has put stricter standards for Elle, which was she avoided tattooed bad-boys like Gabe and focused more on boring guys like Nathan. Still, she couldn’t deny how turned on she was when she was around Gabe.

It was fun watching the two play with each other, riling emotions and plucking nerves. Elle was certainly surprised at how nice Gabe turned out to be and how much they have in common.

This was a sweet, romantic bad boy romance that’s so achingly good!
Elle wants her boss Nathan. He represents everything she wants in a man, but despite throwing hints at him, he doesn't make a move. Elle decides to make her own and sneaks into his bed one night. Unbeknownst to her the person actually sleeping in the bed is Nathan's older brother Gabe. Did Elle make a mistake or did chance finally make her find Mr. right ?

The premise of the story made me so excited, alas that excitement was thwarted by a whiny, judgmental heroine who does not deserve the hero. Maybe I was biased against Elle from the first few chapters when she made Gabe feel unworthy, but I just couldn't get past it. Even the back story that might explain her behavior didn't help. Her best friend Roxanne, the voice of reason, would have made a much better heroine.

I tend to like strong heroines, so this might be my issue. You should still give it a try and see if you like it.

I really could have done without Elle. She's an idiot and a prude. She decides to 'seduce' her boss because she wants to date him and have a respectable relationship with him. And she does this by sneaking into his room at night, wearing what she calls 'lingerie', and crawling into his bed to have sex with him. You know, like how all normal, respectable relationships start. And then when it all goes tits up, she's actually surprised! I really don't know what she was expecting.

Now Gabe, he was brilliant (except for that one incident). I loved how he was described as being rugged and tattooed, typical bad boy looks but with a heart of gold. That allergy scene was so sweet, it put such a smile on my face.

Less said about Elle's mum the better.

Now, just to find out what's up with Nathan! He is one interesting enigma, I may have to skip the next book to go straight to his one lol.
It was the title that drew me to the book and the synopsis confirmed what I already knew. I HAD to read this. Obviously Wrong Bed, Right Guy is an adult book and as such contains mature content and sexual scenes of an explicit nature, just warning you now.

Elle has had a crush on her boss Nathan for over a year and one night, she decides enough is enough and plans to climb into his bed and seduce him. I mean, if he doesn't get the hint THEN, well then there's no hope for them! It isn't until after he brings her to the point of orgasm that she realises it's not Nathan. Hilarity ensues. The stranger in question just so happens to be Nathan's heavily tattooed brother Gabe who is all kinds of wrong on the surface but oh so right for Elle if she'd only give him a chance. Ladies, I can hear you swooning already. I don't blame you and when you read the book, you will be swooning for real.

I read this book in one sitting and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I always like watching the guy chase the girl and Wrong Bed, Right Guy is no exception. I liked the characters and I understand that there are to be two more books in this series, each concentrating on a different character so I look forward to that! If I had to have one complaint though, it would be Gabe's incessant use of the word "babe" which really annoyed me at times and cheapened his integrity. Who am I kidding, I still fancy him though.

Wrong Bed, Right Guy was a fabulously entertaining and romantic read from Katee Robert and I will definitely be continuing with this series.
I bought this eBook from Amazon after reading a couple of good reviews for it, I was completely intrigued by the title and blurb - I loved the idea of the girl thinking she's getting into bed with her boss (who she has a crush on) and it turns out to be his brother, I just had to know how that scene would go!

The storyline sucked me in straight away as it began with Elle heading towards her boss's room in an attempt to seduce him, I say attempt because it was clear even then that she didn't have a huge amount of confidence when it came to men. The reason for this is explained as the book progressed.

I was so happy when it then switched to Gabe's point of view because I love reading books from both sides, his shock and confusion at what was happening made me giggle and as events unfolded I found myself laughing out loud even more. I know it was supposed to be an erotic moment but I actually found the whole thing quite amusing. The erotic side of it certainly heated up as the book went on and it was very descriptive throughout so if you might be offended by this then Wrong Bed, Right Guy might not be for you.

I did find it hard to believe that Elle wouldn't have noticed sooner that she was in bed with the wrong man but hey it's fiction so I can forgive it for that. I was looking forward to finding out what would happen when Elle next went into work, I knew it would be an awkward situation and couldn't wait to see how it would go.

The spark between Gabe and Elle was electric! Gabe was adorable because he had a bit of a bad boy past but he also seemed to have a caring, romantic side and it was for this reason that I fell for him too. I'll admit that I was hoping Nathan (Elle's boss and Gabe's brother) would be more involved in the relationship, perhaps in a love triangle kind of way . A misunderstanding later on shocked me though and I found myself hoping that things would work out.

After the initial amusement at the beginning there were a few other moments that had me laughing out loud, the main one being the flower incident - I could picture the scene so easily and found it very funny! According to the author's blog there is a second book on its way so I'm really looking forward to that.

This was an addictive page-turner, quick to read and filled to the brim with sexual tension.
This book is so much better than what I could have expected.

Miss Prim and proper" Elle "has an inner battle dealing with her attraction to her worst nightmare....

Elle was supposed to marry the all American clean cut guy like her boss, so one night she pulls what little confidence she has out of her bag and tries to seduce him whilst he is asleep, dressed in carefully chosen lingerie she hops into his bed and puts her plan into action.

During her seduction the male voice she hears groaning and so on is not that one recognised as her bosses- on the flick of the light she is not eyeing her boss but instead she is eyeing an amused sexy tattooed sex God " Gabe".

Hurt by her ex who happened to have tattoo's- Elle ignorantly thinks all good looking confident guys which tattoo's are bad news so she writes Gabe off completely even tough the chemistry between them is hot as hell.

Gabe is not one to give up on what he wants so he is determined to win her over including her snobby Mother. For he is nothing like what she expected!

Really really good, if you like this or liked Rule, Hard to Love, Perfect Chemistry and Charade you will be in book Heaven.
The book starts of with Elle climbing into her boss's bed, only to realised (after an awesome orgasm) that it's not her boss in the bed. She freaks out and runs away, automatically blaming the stranger for what happened. Said stranger is in fact her boss's brother, Gabe, who assumed he was dreaming at first then decided to just go with it - I mean who knocks back a gorgeous blonde offering sex? No one, that's who. (I know I wouldn't!) So they meet up under better circumstances and explore the attraction between them only to have Elle jump to conclusions again later on and blame him for something rather than wait for an explanation.

I'm still not entirely sure if I like Elle but I did like Gabe - but then I'm a sucker for a guy with tattoos. One little annoyance is that Gabe is a tattoo artist and the author wrongly calls his tattoo machine a tattoo gun, a small annoyance but one that I know tattoo artists don't tend to like too much.

Katee writes some nice characters in this book and ones I wouldn't mind reading about again. She also writes some excellent sex scenes - very hawt!
