It is too big and doesn't cut to the bottom of the cheese because the wire is above the ends.

I am getting tired of buying on Amazon and receiving inferior products.

This thing is a huge waste of money. First time I used it, the wire which wasn't tight, stretched out. You can't tighten the wire so you can't cut even slices of cheese. Such a waste!!! Do Not Buy!!

Don’t buy. Its poor quality. Wire warped and loosened after cutting 3 pieces of cheese from a semi hard (tillamook) cheese block. Waste of money. Will not buy this brand again.

The wire comes loose after a few uses. I've had slicers like this that last year, so it was kinda dissapointing. They can't handle cheddar block cheese.

I purchased this April 22, 2020 and on June 19,2020 the wire which cuts the cheese broke.
Do not buy this. It will not last. Look for another brand.

I bought the slicer about a month ago. I got it out to slice cheese for an omelette. The wire that actually cut the cheese Has stretched and bent. Gotta contact kitchen aid about it.

Hated this! The first time I used it the wire stretched out and within a week it was broken! Completely worthless!

Any old wire can cut the cheese, but here, it's all in the handle. Nicely balanced, and with a good heft, this KitchenAid product will cut the slice you want with authority. Works equally well in either hand. It's big, so it commands a bit of drawer space, but that's minor. When you pick up this appliance, you know cheese will be cut, but good. No worries.

This was larger than expected, able to handle almost 4" slabs of cheese. Just adjust the angle to adjust the thickness of the slice. Cuts and cleans faster than a knife.
