Overall, we're happy with the LUCID 3 inch folding mattress. It is thick enough to be used by children and is relatively comfortable.

We got it primarily so our kids could "camp out" in our bedroom once in a while. They love it and think it is comfortable enough. I've tried sleeping on it and as a 6'1" 185 pound man, I sink to the floor and do not find it thick enough. For camping or in an emergency, it definitely beats sleeping on the hard ground or a floor, but I would not want to sleep on it for more than a night.

It is made out of a foam that is similar to the egg crate style or even packing foam. It's not memory foam or a particularly dense foam. It's just a common foam. It would probably have to be twice as thick to prevent bottoming out by adults, but then it would most likely be too soft to be slept on.

It folds up really easily and seems to be made relatively well and decent quality. We've used it a dozen times now and there have been no problems with it. We have it covered in a mattress pad and a fitted sheet, so that protects the material.

For use by children, I highly recommend it. For adults, it's too thin.

Opened 9/6/2017 - I purchased the 3 inch Queen. It arrived timely with a small bit of damage to the box (carrier issue). This purchase was made after much research. I chose this product and have not been compensated in any way for my purchase or this review. This review will be updated after using the folding mattress for my intended purpose.

Got to say...I am excited and hope this works well under the pre-existing queen mattresses in the pop out beds on my Hybrid RV. I like that this mattress folds, has handles and seems to be a very dense foam inside. There was zero odor after opening the package. It was pretty smashed from being packed so tightly in plastic for shipping so I did place it on the trampoline to "fluff" it in the breeze.

I took many pictures to help get more of an idea of the product and its quality. I have found zippers on all sections of the mattress. The outside fabric reminds me of a really heavy duty sports fabric, like football jersey or basketball shorts. Its thick enough I have no worries it could be snagged and ripped and I think it will hold up in the washing machine. I have not read drying instructions yet.

I will be making the bed and adding more comments & pictures this week. It holds a 4 star rating until I can see how it handles and comfort.

Update 9/8/2017 - Pictures added of the mattress inside the pop out beds. It fits a little large when placed on top of the factory mattress. It also seemed a little firm when on top. After positioning it on the bottom - WOW! Heaven!. I have increased the rating to 5 stars and think I am going to highly recommend this set-up.

I placed pictures of spacing (my designated space is 60x80 mattress size). I considered cutting off the small fold-able portion that just did not want to lay flat when placed on top of the factory mattress but decided to give it a try on the bottom first. There is one picture of how it fit snugly at the furthest ends of the bed against the supports. I will up date again after spending some time with sleeping, and moving it about. At this time, I think its going to be "glamping" perfect!

Surprisingly as comfortable as the Serta mattress in our bed. It has a decent thickness. Tri-fold makes it easier to fold, store and carry. The cover is very durable and removable, which makes washing so much easier. We’ve been sleeping on it for 5 months now and the mattress still feels the same. No unevenness and sagging part. The only thing that is lacking on this mattress is it doesn’t come with a carrying bag so you can move it more easily when you use it for outdoors.

This is a horrible buy. Im forced to give 1 star to begin a review. This thing comes 1" thick and never expands. Youre better off sleeping on a blanket. To make it worse, the middle of the mattress is nothing more than the fabric cover. Return.

My baby won't sleep in her crib and she is too young for toddler bed or regular bed. so I got this so she can sleep on the floor. I do have another mattress topper on it but Love it. I wish I would of gotten the 4 inch but this works really well and comfortable.

Ordered this for my son with CP for when he’s on the floor. Offers very good cushioning and makes it nice to get down and play with him on. Folds up easily and fits on our oversized ottoman to provide additional seating in our small living room. Glad we purchased it!

This mattress is awesome. My boyfriend sleeps on it when we spend the night at friend's house. He says it's amazing. Well made, I jut wish it came with some sort of carrying bag :(
