This bed is very sturdy and very simple to assemble. I was very surprised at the quality for the price point. I bought an 8 inch mattress for the bed and trundle. I should have bought a 6 inch for the trundle as it is hard to pull out. But for my purposes that's okay and I will live with it. But it's just something to think about before buying the mattress.
Ok. We bought this and originally used it as intended, only to realize that we would likely never use the trundle (it was cheaper at the time to buy it with a trundle). I ended up building a lego tray and upholstering a cushioned edging. The reason that I can say with absolute certainty that it is sturdy is because I beat the hell out of it during the making and attaching of hardware/boards etc. Also, my husband regularly cuddles with my almost 5-year-old on the bed and there is no creaking or indication of not being able to hold the weight. It is solidly built and pretty easy to put together. I will absolutely recommend this company to everyone! If this was helpful please click helpful at the bottom.
Overall I’m very happy with this purchase. Packaged well, clear directions included, and very easy to assemble. Despite other reviews that recommend a 6” mattress for the bottom, I ended up getting two 8” tall mattresses. I opted to keep the casters off so the 8” mattress would fit underneath with a 1” clearance. I put felt sliders on the bottom of the frame and it slides great on my tile floor.
Con: One of the metal pieces above the wooden board looks like it was painted with a different black shiny finish (all other pieces are matte black) and it has a bit of rust on the corner.
I bought 2 of these and am very happy with the purchase. I read EVERY review and purchased memory foam mattresses for both beds. I have an 8" on top and a 5" on the bottom. There is just enough room for the 5" and sheets to slide under the bed. I have found that further support was needed. I bought 4 sheets of MDF and cut them down to fit the outside frame dimensions. I screwed it down with 6 button head screws per piece. Several reviews said that this wasn't needed but I found that I could feel the support members under the mattress without the additional support. Once added, it seems to be a quality product that should last for my lifetime.
A really good value. Nice-looking finish to the steel and the two solid wood panels. I love the open access to the space beneath. Makes storing stuff under there a breeze. One bolt hole was bad; had to re-thread it, but still a great value, and otherwise really well-made. Would buy again. Shipping packaging protected it well. And assembly (other than the bolt issue) could not have been easier. Feels solid. Looks good. Good price. Check out my video review. (Unpaid; I just do some video work as a hobby, and got inspired for this review.)
I am really pleased with this purchase. The bed looks great and was a breeze to assemble.
This was super easy to put together. My mother, myself, and my 4 year old (yes my toddler) put this together in an hour, maybe an hour and fifteen minutes. I was worried when I saw the comments that there were no words and only pictures for the instructions but it is beyond simple to comprehend. The pieces are clearly labeled with numbers and it shows that 1 goes into 1, etc. The bed is sturdy and sleek and amazing. It is in my son’s small bedroom and helps maximize the space but still can sleep two people if necessary. Awesome brand.
Very cute daybed, perfect for my extra room. It looks very modern and it’s very sturdy. Best part is that it came in a somewhat small box and it was easy to put together.
We needed some extra space during the night time. And this bed was a better option than a bunkbed. As during the day the bedroom looks wonderful when the sliding bed is Tucked inside.
I have joined two of these to make king size bed. It was very easy to assemble but need 2 peoples for this work. It is sturdy and looks beautiful.
My wife suggested bunkbed is thanking me for the solution. Happy wife happy life isn’t it
