I was excited to see the quality of the fabric. The overall quality of the bed is very good. All the pieces are either covered in fabric or nicely sanded. The seams are straight and there appears to be pride in the constriction. Assembly was easy as the tools needed were included. Over all I am impressed and this bed will make a great addition to our guest bedroom. It really is beautiful.
I am super frustrated with this purchase. When arrived both of the storage drawers below were broken. We had the whole bed frame already put together when we noticed, since the drawer part comes already assembled. I reached out to customer service and to get the drawers replaced I have to return the whole thing. They told me to wait until I get the whole new replacement headboard and frame (which come in 2 giant boxes) is delivered then I have to take everything out of the biggest box to get to the drawers, take them out, put the old broken ones back in and then let the giant boxes sit at my house until I can get them shipped back. On top of this the long wood pieces that hold up the mattress didn't line up like they should have because they were different lengths so it made the bed less sturdy. So we got more screws and screwed in every single little board to make it sturdy and some of them had to go in at an angle because the length of all of all of the boards were not the same. I still dont understand why they cant just send new drawers it would be much easier. If I could do it again I would not order this just because of how much of a pain this whole process has been, even though I love the look of the headboard.
Love this bed! It is gorgeous. It was easy to assemble, with no complicated tools needed. Instructions were simple and easy to understand. It was packages perfect to keep the upholstery protected. Great quality, color is just like the pics. Looks perfect in my daughters bedroom- very classic and modern. It would be great in any bedroom!
Arrived with a broken drawer that wouldn’t slide out because the wheels were bent on the track. The wood was cracked and barely hanging on. I am
Requesting that I get a new drawer replacement because it requires a dolly to move due to the weight. Almost killed the UPS guy that brought it up.
Y’know, I expect a lot more out of Amazon, especially delivery to other floors of apartments. How they allow one man with a dolly to bring up the whole box to the second floor is really messed up. I couldn’t help, because 1) no one knocked and asked prior (it shouldn’t be the customers job to worry about an employee’s safety)and 2) I’m pregnant. It’s a very unsafe practice and needs to be addressed since they’re putting operation over people’s safety. The mishandling I’m sure extends to other areas and that’s how a drawer became damaged. I had to unscrew two of them that held the face and reinsert in different spots, then I had to buy nails to hammer down the bottom to the drawer frame. Who knows what else could have been damaged (to the product and person) if brought up to the third floor?
The only things that bothers me about anything else is the unstableness of the headboard if you decide to extend it to its full height, the obvious space around the mattress, and the drawers. There’s at least an inch or two of access room around the mattress. The drawers, however, have much space, but seems fragile in how much weight it can actually hold. I’ve only managed to place blankets in so far.
If you buy the mattress, it takes a couple of days to adjust to. Prior to this, I’ve been sleeping on a half and half, meaning half spring and half foam. The first night, my back was stiff as a board. second night, less stiffness, but still quite obvious. Third night and onward have been so much better and comfortable.
Update: The supporting legs that YOU have to screw on, are not standing straight. I have serious doubt about it's long term durability. The is no other bed on the market that I know of that requires you to screw the legs on the slats, secure them with center beams (btw it is not possible for one or two center beams to securely hold all the slats; it still moves), then you need to flip it over(again, not possible if you have only one person, you still struggle with two) and screw the slats on the side rails. This is truly a disaster. The bed also has strong odors that take a week to dissipates.
This bed has a very poor design. You know for a fact that a bed with needs 15 LEGs to support cannot be good/ or easy to assemble First of all the drawer piece is extremely heavy to move around. Second, you will need to connect the slats with woods and 8 supporting legs. I have to lie it down on the floor just to align those slats, but the screw is facing the other side so it's extremely painful to tighten the legs. Lastly, a huge amount of wood screw is used. That makes the bed impossible to re-assemble if you need to move in the future. You even have to screw the slats to the side rail. In comparison, Zinus or Ikea products are 10x easier to put together.
I received this bed and once put together, it is very pretty. It was easy to build, however, once we had it almost together, we noticed the drawers at the foot of the bed were crushed. The outside appeared fine, but the drawers being made of a pressed particle board, were crushed, I imagine in transit because they came as one piece inside the foot board of the bed.
I was hoping to get a replacement drawer section, but Amazon is not able to replace just the drawers and I cannot get ANYONE from the Everlane company to get back to me about standing behind the 2 year warranty. The email address that came with the bed comes back undeliverable. The other one I was given from Amazon, same thing. The 3rd one I was given seems to have gone through, but a week later, still no answer. Needless to say I'm frustrated. Amazon will refund me for the bed, but I have to take the bed apart and send the whole thing back. That would cost more than just finding a way to get me a new set of drawers for a bed I really want and like. Beware of purchasing.
