I saw a lot of mixed reviews for this and other similar products, but went for this one because it seemed the most durable. I've been sleeping on it for 2 weeks now. It's very comfortable. My boyfriend and I bought one each on to sleep at a friend's house temporarily. He is 240 lbs and 6 ft tall. He is sleeping like a baby on the bed. I prefer a slightly softer bed, so I bought a mattress topper for it, and I'm perfectly comfortable.
These seats are not heavy at all. I can easily pick it up and move it around. The fabric is tough and durable, and the seat is well made. Highly recommend this for a den, loft, spare room, kids room, student room.
If/when it gets worn out, I'll update my review to let you know. But so far, so good! Very happy.
Update. Its now been 3 months of us sleepong on these full time. They are still as comfortable as the day we bought them and are not worn out at all. We love these beds so much, we are probably just going to sleep on them instead of buying a 'real' bed for a while.
Sleep is uncomfortable because the hip area on the mattress gets sunken in during sleep. I have to move my body to the edges of the mattress to find a firm spot, and multiple times during the night. Good quality materials doesn't equal comfort.
I was looking for something to use in my new treehouse that didn't take up much space when not being used as a bed. I like the versatility of using to sit on too. I find it comfortable to both sitting and for using it as a bed. I am using a blanket to cover mine now so it stays new looking without having to wash it so often.
a couple of weeks ago it got so hot and uncomfortable my wife was having trouble sleeping.
the downstairs area that the grandchildren play in is always cool so she went downstairs to sleep.
the next day I heard how I need new furniture because there was nothing comfortable downstairs to sleep on.
I bought this because it is light and can be moved easily. is a far cry cheaper than new furniture and a moving service.
and as it turns out she loves it and it is comfortable. now when I watch the news she goes down stairs and reads.
it regained its shape within minutes of unwrapping it and it did not stink and need to be aired out.
I had to give it an extra star once I read my own review. I made out pretty good on this. hope this helps.
I'm torn on leaving a good review. The mattress sleeps well and is comfortable.... but the cover is poor quality and the zippers broke on the middle sections that would bear the most weight. I bought in anticipation of a guest visit in November 2017. That guest used the mattress for 3 weeks before I washed the cover the first time. The zipper was broken already but only in 2 three inch sections. I wasn't pleased, but It was too late to return it. Last week 03/14/18, I pulled it out for use again. One week later, when my guest left, the middle zipper was completely broken. After I washed the cover the second time it will no longer zip up. When it does try to zip it just leaves an open gap behind. I now have to lay the foam pieces together, cover with a sheet, and hope for the best. If the cover had been made with a bit more give this wouldn't have happened. In total I got 4 weeks use for my $100. Not a great value.
Great mattress! We received it fast, and the mattress fluffed to its full size quickly -- in less than 5 minutes. I took off the plastic and let it air out, but it had no unusual smells other than the plastic from the packaging. The mattress is lightweight, folds easily, and is easy to move into a minivan for trips.
I tried it out a few times the first two days and then slept on it for three nights. As a couch, it has no support until you prop it against a wall, but felt a lot cozier than a bean bag chair. It can be partially folded for different sizes or propped on the 4" edge for storage when not in use. It does not replace a couch, but felt cozy with pillows for lounging and watching TV.
I bought the Twin XL 4" model because I needed it to be mobile, thin, and easy to take on trips, yet super long and very cozy. On the floor, it offers firm, yet comfortable support even for side sleeping and did not flatten with two adults lounging on it. I used a pillow under the knees for back sleeping and a body pillow. Great for guests, as a travel mattress, or for watching TV. It was a hit with my family. We are getting a second Milliard Tri-Fold Folding Mattress for guests and comfortable support during workouts.
The Amazon red / burgundy micro fiber sheets look great on it and are super soft.
I bought this as a temporary bed, because I moved from my home, will be moving again shortly, and I wanted something quick and easy for the time being. I have been sleeping on it for about a month now, and I am pretty pleased so far. It isn't the softest thing to sleep on, but it is serving the purpose very well. It came in a box, is very light, all you need to do is open the box and take it out of the wrapping. I bought a cheap foam pad to put on top of it, and it is a bit more comfortable. I do get a good night's sleep in it. As a chair, I have not used it, because I keep it spread out all the time. I put a vinyl mattress cover over it, the twin XL fits perfectly. Overall, definitely worth the money. I am so happy I bought this instead of a fold up bed, that would cost well over 300 dollars. The best thing about it is the weight, it's pretty light and portable. Overall, I would recommend. If you're more used to a softer mattress, I would recommend a foam topper for it. I bought a cheap one at Target, for 20 bucks, it goes very well with the bed. I use twin XL sheets with it, regular twin sheets are too short. Definitely worth the price.
I really like this mattress. As folding tri-fold mattresses go, its incredibly comfortable. It is bulky because its very thick. But if you lie down over gravel or rough/hard surfaces, you'd not feel a thing. I have bad hips and I'm large so I need alot of cushioning. This does the trick!
Its not firm enough to use as a chair however, so I wish they'd not bother with the extra hinged pillow option.
I rarely post reviews in general, but this definitely deserves a 5 star.
I'm 6'0, 180lbs and using this pull out mat as a temporary bed and have zero complaints. I have this on carpet and you don't feel your body touching the ground at all. It's comparable to the $1000 Sealy mattress on a frame we have as well
After unpacking this product I was worried because the mattress was small. But leave it like this and the mattress will retake his original size. This is very durable and I can confirm because I weight over 320lbs this mattres will retake his size even when I walk on it while standing. This sofa bed makes no noise and it's foldable. The only con is that It doesn't have a cover so I have to use the default plastic to protect the mattress and use another to sleep on it.
I liked this product at the price it is being offered. Summary is below:
Pros:
1) price
2) compact and lightweight
3) not so soft. OK types
Cons:
1) the color in the description is different from the one I received
2) not so hard as many mentioned here
3) when it folds into sofa, the backrest is moved even by slight push. It should have been built in a way that if someone rests with his back on it, it should have stayed there or beared the load.
Five stars all the way!!! I didn't wanna spend 200$ on another similar product so I came accross this one and I do not regret it at all. It is exactly what i was looking for my kids play area. Kids can sleep, jump, crawl on it and it is suitable for guests.
I am overall quite pleased with the purchase. However, I am concerned that the metal zipper pulls that are located on the bottom of the folding mattress may scratch my hardwood flooring if the mattress is moved across the floor. I will be careful to prevent that, but kids do not think of that kind of thing. These mattresses were purchased for our grandkids to use for sleepovers.
