This stuff is the BEST for both cleaning and caring for (moisturizing) fine wood furniture. I won’t use anything else ever on my 300-year-old George III antique chest on chest which I treasure. No wax buildup, cleans down deep (even after 300 years!), and makes the wood look like a million bucks.
We pulled up the carpet and the wood underneath was dry and gray. This picture is one swipe with the old english lemon oil. Easy to apply - I used a swiffer with an old rag. We did it every day for about a week for the results to be permanent and shiny. The first day soaked in a little splotchy, like some areas were dryer than other. But after 3 days the results were smooth and even. After a week of using old english lemon oil we did 2 days of Howards feed and wax wood conditioner. Originally we planned to refinish the floors, but this turned out better than we ever could have expected. sorry I do not have a picture of the whole room before - but no way did I expect this kind of results.
I'm very please to have this item as it's not carried where I do my shopping. The price is great as well as the product. I was taught to clean with this and vinegar and so on as a child. Here recently I did some deep cleaning. Long story short after 2 bottle of Orange Glo and 2 spray cans of multi-surface Pledge & finally 2 spray bottles of Windex Multi-surface . The next day i was in shock. You could not even tell the difference. So I did the only thing I knew to do. Go with what I knew had always done a great job. I'm very please to say. My home is shining clean and very easy to maintain. Just as I remembered. Thank God some things haven't changed,
this works fantastic to restore old cracked wood. I used it on three wood chests and they look fantastic. I thought that the wood was all one color, turns out some was a blondish color, some was dark brown, and some was a honey color. the different colors in the wood are stunning now. the pics I've included are a bit too red for the real item, thats my camera. but I'll try to update the pics soon. however a word of warning, tape off the metal parts first, mine are rusting from the lemon oil. I will re finish those next. also, the one I got from Amazon came leaking and I sent it back still sealed in the box. but I cant blame the product for that.
I have used this product for many years. I have mostly Amish made wooden furniture and all wood woodwork in my house. Also all my interior doors are wood. I also heat my house with a wood stove. So all my wood gets dried out. Three times a year I literally go through my whole house with this cleaner!!! When I am done it look like I just refinished all my furniture. Since I am a new member I thought I would buy through Amazon and it is actually cheaper through Amazon then in the stores. Just makes wood look amazing!!! Use this instead of traditional furniture polish which can leave a residue. This is a amazing product!!
This lemon oil is the only finish I have ever put on a solid ash dining table which I purchased years ago.
In the beginning, it required a lot of oil, but now just applying a thin coat 2-3 times per year enhances the wood grain and the patina of a favorite old family table. Also works well on teak. Be sure not to place anything on the table immediately after application (tablecloth).
It needs a couple of hours to soak in. Just a light coat is all I use now.
I’ve used this product for many years.
It’s smooth, easy to use and leaves my wood furniture and cabinets refreshed and lustrous.
It came nicely packaged.
Also the fragrance is fresh and clean!
I don’t usually write reviews but I’m too impressed not to! We have older wood floors and I’ve never been able to get them to look CLEAN! It’s been so frustrating! A friend suggested I try old English oil and omg I’m so happy I did!! I attached before pictures, the floors just always had a gross cloudy dry look? And then the after picture
