It's prettier than expected, the wood is a darker color than the unfinished light appearance in the sales description. The drawers are large enough to hold full size silverware and straws, the bottom wine rack can hold four 2-liter bottles of soda.
Assembly took about a half hour, for a single person. Parts were not labeled, but it was designed in such a way that it can't be assembled wrong. All in all - a clever design, and well worth $50.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is the wood is rough-sawn in spots, and the varnish wasn't shiny there. Unfortunately, one of these rough spots was on the table top. The third picture shows it - the middle darker board, has faint mottled lines where the rough-sawn wood is.
Easier than anticipated assembly! It is the perfect compact extra storage cart I was looking for, the drawers are great for pot holders or dish cloths, it’s overall sturdy and will free up some much needed space in my kitchen! Great buy!
This cart is only about three feet tall and overall tiny, which I guess I should I have checked before ordering. We use it as a coffee station in the kitchen, but it isn't tall enough for anybody to comfortably use it for kitchen prep. The shelves are short and don't fit appliances or sets of mixing bowls. The wire basket has such a big mesh that anything smaller than an entire head of garlic slips through. The drawers are small and we store coffee filters (only) in it. The wine rack is wine-bottle sized, so that works out. It's also a weirdly dark unnatural orange color, not the nice blond wood pictured. That being said, it is relatively sturdy, and not too hard to assemble. It was cheap, we bought it, we laughed that our house is filled with surprisingly small Amazon furniture.
I bought the cart to store misc. lightweight kitchen items. It serves that purpose. Is it worth the price? I've bought similar items for less, that are more sturdy. This cart has very noticeable marks or defects (see photos). I wrote to the seller about the marks. Rather than disassembling it and sending it back, I suggested that the seller send me something that I could use to touch-up the marks. I sent message to the seller more than 2 weeks ago. I have NOT gotten a response AT ALL. I would NOT buy this item again. BTW, The assembly is an illustration with pieces numbered. If you're a person who needs/wants step-by-step instructions, forget it.
Very happy with the seller and product. I purchased for my small - medium sized microwave. Was a bit hesitant to purchase, took a chance and have to say, I’m delighted!
It’s attractive, serves the purpose and has the
added value, of the open design, easy to see what’s on the shelves, and in wire drawers. It’s sturdy for intended purpose. Having the space for two liters, sparking juice, is a plus.
The top drawers are shallow holding thin pot
holders in one and kitchen appliance manuals in the other.
I’m a 62 year old woman and put it together in over an hour. I took my time to not make mistakes.
I put the wooden drawers together first, then placed the large top shelf upside down on an old blanket,
Next, attached the wheels to the two bottom pieces, set those aside.
Attached the three main frame pieces onto the large top shelf then the two pieces with the wheels to complete frame,
Stood it up, added the drawers, shelves, and the lower racks, which are held in place by the design.
What I thought may be difficult, was very straight forward. The color is nice, maybe an oak paint/stain. In my opinion this is not
a heavy duty piece. It may hold more than I will know, as I have no plans to move/push it or test/tax the weight limit.
I’m very pleased, it meets my needs and is appealing. Very happy!
First let me start by saying that when I opened the box containing this, Supposed
"Kitchen Island/Cart", I was over ran by tiny Cockroaches. It was infested with them.
As far as the cart itself.. it is much smaller than expected. Infact it doesn't even reach waist hieght. It's approximately 6.5 to 7 in
below the waist and I am 5'2". The sheet of paper which held the instructions if how to put this monstrosity together was a per waste. Three (3) if the pieces of wood That needed assembling had chips in them. And one of the drawers had no place/holes for the handle to be placed. If I did not have to take the time to disassemble this thing to out it back into the box I which it came, I would be sending it back for a refund. But that would also mean bringing the Roach infested box back into my home.
I’m using this cart to hold a two burner hot plate since I lack counter space and a stove in my current apartment. It’s very sturdy and was very easy to put together (my boyfriend did it in about thirty minutes while I made dinner.) it’s very sturdy, the one issue I did have is that the wheels that come with it? There’s no instruction on how to lock them into place, not from moving or anything but when I move to a new place and pick the stand up, the wheels are going to fall directly out.
I really like this. It took a little while to put together but that’s alright. It’s very good for the price. Though, it’s not too sturdy and it’s a little shorter than I expected.
