I just bought new furniture to replace the living room furniture which my cat ore to shreds. Immediately upon delivery my furry friend rushed in and started scratching. I went to Amazon for help and came up with Amazing Shields and quilted furniture covers. Problem solved!!! No scratching and the shields are hardly noticeable on my light beige furniture. They do fall off if you don't use the accompanying tacks. P.S. Their customer service is terrific.

My cats haven't been scratching their usual favorite spots since we put these up. And they don't look tacky. My only issue was that they sent me 5 plastic sheets but only 6 pins to help secure them to the furniture, since I put one in each corner I needed 20 pins so I had to supplement with safety pins

It's not often that I spend so much time reading reviews, however, I just purchased a new leather couch and a couple months prior to that, I became the proud momma to a very precious 2 month old kitten. So with that being said, I knew I needed to purchase a solution to his desire to SCRATCH my furniture before it arrived. I have a few cat scratching posts, which he uses often, however, I have seen him at times try to use the corner of the fabric couch. After reading many reviews, I found these excellent clear adhesive protectors.

I'm a first time cat owner, so I wasn't sure what to expect and how much scratching they really do. Despite having many alternatives for him to scratch, there's something appealing to them to want to claw at the fabric. These sheets come delivered FLAT, which is so nice to be able to position the protector into the desired place and then slowly remove the back covering. After I had it on and in place, I used a hardcover book to gently spread over the area to make sure it was wrinkle free and securely adhered. The sheets are made of a pretty thick vinyl material and are completely clear and unnoticeable, which is a great feature to have. My cat hasn't even gone near the new leather couch, so I haven't had to use them there. (Yet!)

I put the protectors on the back and sides of my fabric recliner, which is another place he likes to sneak up on for a lazy stretch and a scratch. I watched him try to do his maneuver over the vinyl and he looked at me with all kinds of confusion because it didn't satisfy him at all. The sheets have been on now for 4 days and he hasn't even gone near the recliner!

I'd say this particular brand of protectors are an incredible value, worth every cent, and I'm so happy I had them ready and waiting. They're not difficult to apply at all and I'd say almost anyone of any age can easily do them. They can be very easily cut to fit your exact size area that you want to cover. I ended up using one of the large sheets to cover the back of my recliner which is positioned in a way that when you walk into the room, you see the back of the recliner and the sheet protector is not visible at all, unless you were actually looking for it.

This packet I purchased comes with 4 large protectors and 24 twist pins. I have not needed to use the pins, but I can see that they'd be very helpful and necessary if you have a stubborn cat who really wants to scratch. I'd recommend using this brand of sheets over some of the others that come wound up tight in a tube. I ended up returning the ones that came in the tube because I just could not get them to lay flat. I am going to purchase a second set of this brand to have as back ups or if my cat decides to find another area that he wants to scratch on. This brand comes in other sizes too and comes in a kit with some catnip and an alternative scratch board for your kitty. This is definitely a 5-STAR product and I've already shared a sheet with my neighbor who said she can't believe how great they work. I'd recommend to anyone who has an indoor cat that likes to scratch!

It left mark all over my leather sofa when I tried to remove it. The glue is too strong. They should have put a warning in the instructions. Instead the instruction said it’s safe on leather. Now my sofa is all ruined. Please be aware if you plan to use this on leather sofa.

I paired this with another product called Quick20 Fabric Upholstery Repair Kit. Fixed the damage that was done already and placed these over top. I cut them in half to really cover the part my cat goes after. They are indeed larger to cover more area. Cat hasnt bothered since. I would recommend this highly to anyone experiencing the same problem. Especially for the section in the middle/back of the couch.

We are so pleased to have found this product, as we have been having to deal with our cat scratching our furniture - and that can get old really fast! Other products have proven to be ineffective. But Amazing Shields held up just fine. It is strong and works like a charm to deter our kitty from scratching and clawing the couch.
Since we just moved to a house with hardwood floors, the cat was missing his scratching carpet. The scratcher that came with the shields is perfect because it does not make a mess, and the kitty is satisfied.
I recommend this product, it's worth every penny. It's a good investment to protect your furniture, which costs a lot more. I loved these so much more than I thought I would. I actually bought these and the double sided tape to see what I like best and these were the definite winners. These weren’t TOO sticky to the point I was worried about my furniture, by sticky enough that they stay put. Also, I accidentally misplaced it the first time and was able to easily peel it back up and move it to where I needed. I didn’t even need to use the pins that came with them.

For my average size arm chair I used two packs. I was also worried that the shiny effect would look a bit tacky but I was super surprised at how much they blend in.

My cat has also (knock on wood) not touched my chair since.

Product has ruined my expensive lazy boy couch! At first i thought these were great until i removed them. I was just using these to deter my cat from scratching but the stickiness is so strong it removed the protective layer of my couch! Not happy at all.

****8 months later and these are still stuck fast and literally look brand new. Furry friend never tried to scratch them since his first attempt last year. Thrilled. I want to order more but kitty just sticks exclusively to his scratch posts now!

****Its been two weeks since applying my second order to my leather furniture. Sticks well without pins around square corners but it has to wrap right around a corner by a few inches too assure adhesion. I wouldn't cut the pieces to meet at the corner. Definitely wrap it around. The photo of the piece lifting was just a small extra piece I was trying to find a place to use but show what happens if closer to a curve.
