• Comes with just about everything you need to prepare any meal
• Comes with a nice sturdy plastic container to house all of the utensils
• The utensils are a bit snug inside of the container
• The silicone portion seems very well made however not sure about the wooden handles
• Had to speak with customer service regarding my order
My impressions of these particular kitchen utensils is they appear very well made. I soaked them for a moment in hot soapy water initially when I first received them, rinsed them, then let them air dry. One thing I noticed while and afterwards was that the plastic container that housed everything was cracked as shown and once the utensils were dry they had a textured feeling almost like you feel like you would get a splinter. I did contact customer service and received a prompt response which I was directed to request a replacement thru Amazon and I had to ship them back via UPS the broken set. I didn't have any problems with doing so and did receive my replacement before sending the broken one back. Overall I think the silicone portion is made nicely it's just the handle portion that bothers me texture wise.
I got these for the wood handles because I liked the look of the wood better than all plastic and love them. They are perfect for everyday use.
I cook every night and have had these a little over a month. I have used them while cooking with cast iron and have put then in the dishwasher numerous times. They are still like brand new. Highly recommend
I absolutely love these utensils; they clean so easy and don't scratch your pans or pots or bowles. They don'o not melt in your pan when cooking. Ive only washed by hand so don't know how they would be in a dishwasher. these are amazing and the price is great too.
Love them
The “utensil holder “ is a small cheap plastic cup don’t waste your money
I loved it all.
There is a large variety of included utensils, and a "countertop holder" included. I've had the set and been testing it now for an entire month. I've used everything in the set, and made an effort to test and assess every claim made by the seller and on the packaging.
SILICONE TIPS; I love the silicone tips (wish I could say I loved the handles, but will get to that below.) The silicone utensils truly hold up to a variety of conditions, they will not scratch or damage your pots/pans.
TEMPERATURE RESISTANT: Claims to be resistant -40C to 230C (-40F to 446F). I think the claim should say the silicon is resistant to those temperatures and not the wooden handle. I left the slotted spoon in my refrigerator for a week and the tongs in the freezer for a week (this tested the silicone in the freezer without exposing a wooden handle to the constant moisture content). Both tools were undamaged from the cold exposure (the box states suitable for use in refrigerator.) The intent of the upper claim seems to be intended for minimal exposure time to that temp, and not continued exposure to that temp. I use induction cookware which keep a very stable temperature, though other cookware on stovetop or BBQ can fluctuate well over the limit. The silicone should hold up to most bottom of pot stirring applications, flip items in pan in oven applications, or leaving the utensil in the dish right after taking it out of oven (without concerns of warping.)
'SUITABLE FOR USE IN OVEN, MICROWAVE OVEN': The box words this exactly as shown in quotes. Other then what you think should be obvious (that the metal tongs should stay away from the microwave), I'd limit this to; if you need to open the microwave to stir something mid way these will be fine otherwise DO NOT use these in microwave. I microwave paper towels, napkins, wooden bowls and bamboo plates regularly without a problem. I put the slotted spoon in the microwave next to a cup of water, and started it on high for 45seconds. BIG MISTAKE. I stopped the microwave at about 31seconds, to put out a fire. The handle was on fire from two different spots. I had to douse the handle, take the spoon outside (smoke smell still coming off it) and open windows in the house. I thought the utensil was just wood and silicone, maybe there is metal in the handle or attaching the silicone utensil to the handle?? The silicone part of the slotted spoon was undamaged by the microwave.
COUNTERTOP HOLDER/BONUS UTENSIL CADDY: 'This storage container will make it easier to grab the right tool when you need it.' (Not Really.) There are too many utensils to conveniently keep in there. If you remove the tongs, and the whisk the rest fits ok in there. The whisk has the thickest handle and pans out quickly, while the tongs take up too much space at bottom (both are also the shortest 2 utensils.) Essentially this is a tall branded plastic cup with holes drilled in the bottom to let excess moisture drain out.
HANG-ABILITY: I would have rather had a thin metal framed hook bar to hang on wall then the included caddy. Most of the utensils have a small drilled hole at the end to hang on a thin hook or nail. The tongs have a large ring, and the whisk has no hole for hanging (though you could hang it by the whisks instead of from the handle.)
'SOFT HANDLE': This is one of the more perplexing large print bullet claims on the box. There is no soft thick rubbery/cushiony grip on any of these. Since it is a solid wood handle, I'd rather the handle stayed wide (instead of tapering in at end) for a more comfortable grip and to allow for a wider drilled hole for hanging.
'EASY TO CLEAN, DURABLE': Anything I got on these rinsed off easily and quickly. That included sauce between basting brush, and batter between the whisks. Long term I've never had good luck with wooden handle utensils. You can't leave them soaking in water in sink, and I truly believe with each wash in dishwasher the strength of the handle diminishes (leading to the handle eventually splitting or cracking) Nonetheless the silicone utensils rinse off very easily.
BASTING BRUSH: At first I was a bit skeptical on this (I've used a thick bristle basting brush for years). With a lot less total bristles and a material that rinses so easily I wasn't sure how this would do with a thin sauce over a BBQ. While a BBQ can get over the max temp limit, the food on it shouldn't. As long as keep the brush from rubbing across the grill itself all should be fine. The brush worked great lathering sauce over my meat on the BBQ. When I was done cooking it rinsed clean quickly and easily.
LIFETIME WARRANTY: I haven't put this to the test, but it seems nice. While my slotted spoon handle now is half black from being on fire, it is still functional. I haven't washed these enough times to know if I'll have any concern with handles cracking down the line. A business card is included with a compressed url to activate lifetime warranty.
