First, the good -- it's an attractive bed, and it's at a good height. I like the system with the velcro and the sticky tape so that the slats and the mattress stay in place.

Now, the not so good. Given this is a king-size bed, one might reasonably expect this bed to support the weight of two people. And as is often the case when two people share a bed, those people might want to engage in adult activities. Unfortunately, this bed does not meet those expectations. The metal that the middle supports are made of is too weak, and the legs can bend, which makes the whole central rail sag. The bolts holding the metal legs to that central rail back out, which causes the legs to flop around and become more prone to bending. And the plastic caps that form the bottoms of the square tubing are crap and will get pressed into the square tubing, which causes the metal edge to really do a number on your hardwood floors.

The attached pictures show what happened within two weeks of using the bed -- the bent middle leg, the flimsy end cap, and the damage to the hardwood.

Very carefully pack. All the foams have a plastic wrap on them so you won't get all those annoying white foam powder. The wood is definitly solid and clean. Very easy assembly with clear instruction, only takes less than half hour to finish. Excellent quality. Best furniture I ever bought on Amazon.
This is my 2nd Zinus purchase, the first being the "Zinus Sleep Master Memory Foam Getaway Premier Folding Guest Bed, Twin". The rollaway was so nicely made, I thought I'd purchase the bed frame as well. It was actually the nicest and best priced one I could find on Amazon anyway, so the decision was easy.
I just put the bed together today. The first thing I noticed was how really, really well this bed was packaged. Inside the outer box, which was dirty and had a rip in it from shipping, was another full size box in perfect condition. Inside that, everything was neatly packed, wrapped and separated by various size foam blocks that were wrapped in plastic! Think about that for a second- no millions of little styrofoam pellets everywhere, all contained in plastic. Genius.
The instructions were very clear. All visual and numeric- like Ikea, but much better. All the bed parts were labeled clearly, matching up with the instructions nicely.
No tools were needed, just one allen key which was provided. All parts lined up and went together without a problem. When I was done, the bed just felt solid. They even provided extra hardware in case you drop and lose a piece.
The finish and style of the bed are beautiful. Very satisfied.
This is a nice quality bed but with poor engineering. I wouldn't buy it again. It suffers from two major issues. The first is that it is as wide as a Zinus queen which runs on the narrow side. If you put an actual queen on it, it will overhang the sides slightly. Secondly, the way the frame is attached to the headboard is very weak and will likely break over time. The front part of the frame has reliefs in the wood that carry the load. The back side, the screws are bearing the load of the frame. A poor decision since the back side of the bed carries most of the load. This could have simply been avoided by notching the headboard and it would have been a very strong bed. Its a shame because this is nice enough wood, especially for the price. I may end up buying some wood and adding some supports.
The bed frame looks great. The wife and I sleep well in it. Unfortunately, when it comes to adult activities the bed makes way too much noise. The middle foot support tends bend a bit. I'll sometimes have to straighten the foot. Considering returning it, for a more study bed frame.
Bad functional design all around. It looks fine, true to the pictures, and the height is nice. But after two months of use this frame is a 100% regret. The frame has no divot or depression for the mattress, so it's just like putting a mattress on a flat box or table. This means under normal usage your mattress will slide off the frame, and pretty much every other day I have to shove it back in place. I am a small dude, 150#, and walk and sit on things very carefully and mindfully. Still, the mattress slides off. Two problems: One, the mattress looks stupid and messy half the time, hanging off the frame. Two, the bigger problem is that it slides away from the headboard, if you sit up and rest against the headboard to read or something. Eventually all your pillows slide down the yawning gap between the headboard and the mattress, and the whole situation is a disaster.

Zinus is obviously aware of the problem because the under-slats have two 'adhesive strips' but come on, two pieces of tape are going to do jack to stop a MATTRESS+HUMAN from sliding. Friends have suggested trying to put nonskid mats, like those under rugs, but you shouldn't have to hack your bed and I'm pessimistic it will work, and it would probably just add another layer to smooth out. No: this flaw doesn't affect my actually sleeping activity, but it's a dumb flaw that should've been corrected under an ounce of testing. I should've gone IKEA.
The packaging was excellent. A box within a box. Contents are heavy overall but individual pieces are light. I moved pieces from my garage to split level up stairs without any help. Assembly was easy to follow and completed within an hour and half. Been using for about a month and so far so good. Headboard is finished both sides and sturdy just like the rest of the frame supporting a 10inch tough and needle mattress.
You will not be disappointed. We bought a Double for our son and it's absolutely beautiful. Assembly was quite straightforward and the bed is very sturdy.
Received one week after ordering via Prime. It came in one very well packaged box. No damages. It even came with a heavy duty ratcheting tool for assembly. It was easy and quick to assemble. It is very sturdy and well made. It provides great underbed clearance for putting storage containers under there. The mattress perches on top of the frame (no lip to set in) but doesn't move even though I didn't use the included stickies. It is very attractive, the very colour of the advertised pictures, and doesn't waste space. I am very happy with my purchase!
Colour is a little lighter then appears in the picture, and I’d like it to be a bit taller, however it is exactly as pictured and sturdy. So far I’m pleased with this bed.
I have assembled a ton of furniture in my day, this bed really impressed me. I was worried at first as the box was quite damaged when it arrived. But the bed was so well packaged there was absolutely no damage to anything in the box. I generally use IKEA as my standard to compare other flat packed furniture to. Most I find does a poor job of trying to copy IKEA (Walmart, jysk, structube, Canadian Tire, etc). Not this bed... They went above and beyond on this bed. And it comes with absolutely everything you need to assemble it. I didn't even have to go looking for a screwdriver. All you need is scissors to open the box. Took me under an hour to assemble the king sized bed frame all by myself.
I am 185lbs, roll over a lot throughout the night.

Very Sturdy, solid and a nice height. Not a super looker but looks as good as it does in the pictures

I like that there is no foot board. especially if you are taller than 5 10".

I would but al over again, mattress does not slip for me AND I have not removed the sticky strips.
