While the sofa itself is passable as a piece of furniture for sitting multiple people, the actual process of building this sofa is quite painful. Every point of contact you have to make with the sofa to wrench in pieces is covered in rough Velcro or barely open areas that you end up having to tear open to have any chance of getting your bolts in. As somebody who has built furniture for a living in the past, I was incredibly disappointed to see such an utter disregard for customer-friendly approaches to building this monstrosity. By the end of this process, you will likely be covered in carpet burns, scrapes and rashes from Velcro rubbing your skin off and other bumps and bruises (and this is all before you're halfway done) for a mediocre couch that couldn't satisfy a homeless man used to sleeping on cardboard. Frankly put, even at 220 dollars, this couch simply isn't worth the hassles with assembly for something so utterly uncomfortable. Spend a bit more on something from Ikea that is at least better designed and a step above resting on concrete unlike this disaster.
