### The Good ###
This set includes quite a few utensils. Nice to be able to have such a large matching set. The metal handles on most utensils are strong, so can be used for mixing denser substances (won’t bend from the pressure). The scissors are pretty nice—well-made and sharp, plus has a plastic sheath to store in. I like the tongs, whisk, and spatulas, too. Being dishwasher safe makes cleaning easier.
### The Bad ###
Quality varies between utensils. Most of the long-handled ones are decent, but some of the shorter handle ones feel cheaper. The knob on the can opener uses a really thin, cheap plastic. The blade on the pizza cutter, while sharp, wobbles. The blade on the peeler has nicks in it, making it duller than I wished for. Also, the blade on the peeler is short (only 1.45-inches), so it’s not the best at peeling larger surfaced items. The worse utensils are the grater (really cheaply made and bendy, can’t apply much pressure to it when grating), and the measuring cups and spoons (cheap plastic and handles bend way too easily). A few more things I noticed are: (1) The silicone isn’t perfectly cut around the molded edges and in holes. I used a knife to cut the extending and lose bits out. Better to do this than have them come off in your food. (2) The set had a sulfur-like smell to it out of the box. Especially the measuring cups. So, I soaked everything in hot, soapy water for several hours. Which led me to discover these other issues: (3) The metal handles are hollow, and not all are properly sealed. Thus, water collected inside some of the handles when soaking. I could hear it slosh around when shaking the utensil. The seals were tight enough that I couldn’t shake the water out, so you just have to hope it dries out before becoming a problem. (4) The black silicone on several of the utensils changed color when dried. They went from black to navy blue. Had to take a damp cloth and wipe it down to get them black again. While this doesn’t negatively affect their functionality, it does bring into question the quality and added work with cleaning.
### Conclusion ###
The quality of this set is better than dollar store but reminds me more of what you’d find at Walmart, or at best Ikea. Nowhere near the quality of places like Bed Bath and Beyond. While dishwater safe, they fare better hand washed. It’s a good price for everything you get, but some items are just not as good as others. If you want quality, look elsewhere. If you want functionality and bulk, maybe give this a try.
