UPDATE: After 8 months, the center support of the bed started to give way. I contacted customer service who took several days to reply only to have the bed COLLAPSE and when I asked for a refund, they would only offer a replacement.

READ THE REVIEWS. Not just of this particular bed but all Zinus brand beds. They have a fatal flaw in the support structure. You get what you pay for and we threw away hundreds of dollars to have a bed that only lasted 8 months. Shame on them!! I will be contacting the BBB and sharing my warning with others. You will end up paying much more in the long term if you purchase a bed frame from Zinus. We ended up getting our next bed from West Elm which is much more expensive but far more sturdy. I will never buy from Zinus again!! Be wary of a company that won't stand behind their product.

We needed a slatted bed frame for our new mattress and since we got a cheapie frame from Zinus for our guest room, we decided to see what they had for our king size bed. They have a nice looking West Elm mid-century modern (MCM) knock-off. With only two reviews, I was nervous about pulling the trigger but it was easy to put together, very sturdy and we're happy!

It took probably 90 minutes - 2 hours to put together with two people. Way easier to assemble than Ikea. The headboard is wicked heavy and solid wood but the rest is super lightweight (hope it holds up). We were able to fit it in our hatchback when we picked it up from FedEx. It weighs about 100 pounds.

There is a center support beam (so necessary!) and conicle MCM leggs with a painted gold accent on the bottom quarter.

All in all, a very nice bed at a very nice price. Will update on how it holds up in a couple months!

I searched for a long time for a mid-century modern solid wood bed that didn't cost $1,000+. Many reviews of similar beds on Amazon complained of cheap construction. NOT THIS BED! It came packaged super well and is as pictured, and SOLID WOOD (box is extremely heavy to lift even for two people. We opened the box on the porch and brought it in in pieces). It was very easy to put together, it took my husband an I about 45 minutes. You could assemble it alone. It looks fantastic! I might brighten up the gold on the feet at some point, it's barely noticeable when you stand back from the bed. The bed is a dark brown color with some cherry undertones.

I have to say without a doubt this is the best bed I have ever owned!
It arrived perfectly packaged in a box & took me less than an hour to assemble on my own. This is the most well constructed, sturdy bed ever!!
First I would like to point out that in the picture I posted I have the headboard set at the lowest position so it would fit under my painting. There are two more settings it can be raised to if you would like to have a taller headboard .
The only issue I had at first when it was completed was that the headboard made a slight creak when I would get into it but then I remembered it came with three rubber cushion stickers I had no idea what they were for. Turns out they go over the three screws on the back of the headboard that touch the wall. Once I stuck those on and pushed it back against the wall there was no noise whatsoever! They thought of everything!!!
To the reviews that say the bed is cheap and cracked, that is because they over tightened the screws. To the people that say their mattress extends further than the frame , that is because they have the headboard on the lowest position which stops the mattress from going back about an inch. To the people with the broken frame in the middle , that is because they tried to slide the bed across the floor bending the support bar.
If you follow the instructions step-by-step I promise you’ll end up with a bed that looks like you spent $1000.

Good quality, double-packed to protect, super easy to put together. All materials needed to put it together are included, very organized, even includes the tool you need. The directions are all pictures, numbered sequences which are clear. We had this bed together under 30-40min with 2 people. The wood is a medium cherry with rich grains. The footings are not metal - the MCM look is painted on which I didn't mind, not gaudy. The slats have Velcro which helps secure the slats so they do not slip & sticky tape in two areas at the head & foot of the bed to give the mattress a stick surface to avoid slippage. My daughter's Ikea bed did not even have this! Very impressed & pleased with this product. It was delivered very quickly. With delivery ensure you have someone home to help the FedEx person - there was no way our delivery person could haul this off the truck alone - very heavy! Again we are very pleased with it!

Worth the price! I was concerned about how the quality would be because of the price but it is very nice! The packaging is well done to prevent damage. All the tools and directions come in a box, the bed assembly was easy but I recommend having another person help. The wooden base Velcro’s to the bed frame and has sticky tape on it to ensure the mattress does not slip off. My mattress measures at 24 “ and when placed on the frame there is plenty of room to see the headboard. The legs are all wood with a gold painted strip, not metal. The wood is dark but has a slight cherry finish. I have a dark wooden dresser and it goes nicely with the frame. Compared to most mid century frames this is by far the best you will find for the price and quality.

This bed is seriously amazing. I was worried about it being too low since you don't use a box spring, but it's a great height for a platform bed. It sits high enough for my Samsung vacuum to go under it & to see the floor underneath. You can't go wrong with this bed because the price is GREAT & it's not cheaply constructed. It's easy to assemble & you can use without the headboard.
