The three headboard pieces are not made of wood. They're MDF, and each contains a plain white sticker (see the attached image) warning that the board contains Cadmium. It's unclear how much Cadmium the pieces contain since this warning is not disclosed or discussed for this product anywhere I could find. Still, Cadmium is a carcinogen. It's a heavy metal that, like lead, can cause cancer.

After seeing the warning on the product and failing to find anything meaningful about the risks associated with this specific bed, I quickly boxed it back up and requested a refund. I'm no expert in poisonous heavy metals, but I shouldn't have to be to know if this bed is safe. Neither should you. Please think twice before purchasing this bed.

The bed frame is very solid and sturdy.

the instructions are anything but clear. The reference labeling of the parts is anything but accurate. Same bolt referenced with two different part numbers. Resulted in me having to go to the hardware store and purchase extra bolts to complete the installation.

Manufacturer should consider updating the instructions and putting a link online for future customers.

Great for the price! We got it for the guest bedroom and didn’t want to spend a fortune. It was really easy to assemble, I did it alone. You don’t need any extra tools (only allen wrenches it comes with)

One good thing: This platform bed was pretty easy to put together. A couple of things I have against it: 1.) Once I got the "wooden" headboard on, I noticed what felt like a seam. I thought it was some shrink wrap that was over it. I slightly peeled it and realized it was not shrink wrap, but paper - basically wallpaper that was adhered to particle board. I could've peeled it all the way back and exposed the board underneath. So now it's already damaged. I guess that's what you have to expect at that price. 2.) The metal slats kept coming out of their slots as I was putting it together and they rattled when I was making the bed. I haven't slept on the mattress yet, but hope they don't rattle every time we toss and turn.

I bought this bed frame for my nephew’s new mattress since his old bed is starting to become too small. The bed frame was relatively easy to put together and according to my nephew, it looks amazing. He enjoys it a lot and says that unlike his old bed frame, this bed frame doesn’t make a lot of noise when he moves around. He also tried jumping on it once or twice, and said that it was very sturdy as he did not hear any creaking or feel anything that would suggest the bed frame had weak spots.

I spent hours looking at beds and thought I was going to need to spend $1,000 for a bed that I liked. I’m so glad I chose this bed for under $200. Assembly was fairly simple although there are a lot of parts. I like that it sits a little higher than other platform beds and I like the look of the faux wood headboard. The bed is solid and is not squeaky at all. Great purchase!

Wow! Surprised by how easy this was to put together, how sturdy this was and how it looks like real wood. Box was heavy I thought for sure something would have been damaged, but everything was perfect when we opened the box. Direction was easy to follow. Would buy this again. Also, would recommend to anyone who wants a simple modern design.

I’m amazed at the sturdiness of this frame I’m 140 and my husband is 250 also a 85 lb lab and chihuahua, and not one squeak only had it about a week but so far pretty good
