For the price point these are above average knives. I cook all the time and these are not personally sharp enough for me but they are better than most for sure. I love the steak knives. I bought them for my mom and they are perfect for the average at home cook. Great starter knives. If you are looking for the next stage of knives you aren’t going to get them cheaply but for the average cook these are great.

I am very surprised in these knives. I bought them mostly for looks, as I expected them to be junk. I figured they would be polished and set aside. I am surprised that they came with a decent edge, and they take a wonderful edge if you put in a bit of effort. Not $2000 knives, but very impressive. Also dishwasher test shows no rust(many washes later, they do slightly) just polish and it wipes right off. Straight up win for once.

So far so good. Knives are one piece forged, which means the handles won't fall off in a few months or years like with other sets. That's the specific reason I got this set. I like the idea of the stand over the traditional block, but in person it does look and feel a bit cheap due to light weight acrylic construction and narrow base. But the advantage is that there's nowhere for bacteria and mold to hide. I think it's a much more sanitary way of storing the knives, but would have liked to see one made of glass or even acrylic but with a weighted metal base. But I guess at this price point, a slightly top heavy stand is a small compromise. If I didn't have cats I probably wouldn't think twice about it.

Pros: low price, one piece forged knives with no handles to break off, sanitary easy to clean non-absorbent stand

Cons: stand could use a weighted base for additional stability, but at this price point it's a small compromise

I like this kitchen knife set quite a lot. The most important point is the rack is clear and see through. The older models with wooden racks are very hard to clean and you can't check if the interior is clean or not. With this new one, it's much easier to see. I would recommend it to my friends.

This knife set is GORGEOUS, I adore the acrylic block, the knives are extremely sharp, heavy quality material. And it came with 11 knives which is amazing for $40. Love that it also includes a sharpener and scissors. So happy with this set

Just got the knives today! They are much higher quality than I can believe for the price. I have had high end knives before that were much more money than these and these by Deik take the cake! Box looks fantastic as well, will make a great gift. I’ll have to buy a few of these for Christmas gifts.

Knives are sharp and sturdy. I love that they are one solid piece of metal so no wooden or plastic handles to rot or fall off. Sharpener works well, scissors are also one piece construction. The holder looks sleek, is not the same build quality of the knives, but I’ll forgive that since the knives are great and I don’t like the standard block holders either anyway. Would purchase again. Registration for warranty was very simple.

I was a little concerned about what others said about the sturdiness of the base, but I’m glad I didn’t let is dissuade me from buying. I’m impressed by the quality of the knives and the number of knives you get for the money. It also looks sleek in our new kitchen. Would recommend!
