Basic blender was good but lid was loose fitting because of poor quality control. Sprayed out top when used. Unit was "refurbished" which means that it was just reshipped out from the last return without fixing anything.

Don't buy this product; it's a waste of your time.

I must say that Amazon's return was easy and the refund was prompt.

This is my 2nd Cuisinart blender. The 1st one worked perfect fine for about 2 years, then the motor began to act funny. Granted, I use it on an almost daily basis for smoothies, etc. It was finally annoying enough that I ordered another identical blender, but I'm disappointed to discover that it is following suite - the motor has acted funny from the beginning. I love the blender when it works correctly.

The first one arrived DOA. It was replaced immediately. The replacement is perfect.

I bought this model because of the construction and glass container. I don't need 10 speeds so that wasn't an issue for me. The motor is very good with enough torque to pulverize frozen strawberries for the main ingredient in some very good smoothies. Add red raspberries two bananas and some blueberries with grape juice. This stuff is amazing. Now this isn't a juicer so the smoothies are more like a thick milkshake with berry seeds.

To the solid blender figure in the big discount for being refurbished and the great Amazon service and this is a no brainer.

excellent product at a very good price. reconditioned with a 90 day warranty, so get the extended 3yr warranty - cheap. works well, brushed metallic base, better motor than my last cuisinart that cost almost twice as much.

Oh, the power! Excellent blender. My old Cuisinart motor went out, and the old glass pitcher fits perfectly. Now I have two pitchers, how great is that?!

It takes awhile for it to get the ice to the consistency that it is supposed to. Sometimes it doesn't get all the ice

It works well. The only thing that bothers me is that it can't crush ice on its own.
