We had this sofa for about 4 to 5 months and I truly like this sofa and so far is doing great (taking in consideration we have 2 dogs at home) it covers our needs , you can lay down in the sofa and cuddle comfortably. The cushion is a little hard but not to uncomfortable (at least for me) . The only reason why I give it a 4 and not a 5 is because the fabric gets dirty easily. BTW the shipment offered a good service they called me to set up the time and day of drop off.
I really like this couch. I do understand why some people think it’s uncomfortable but I love firm cushions. It’s a tad bit smaller than I thought it would be but for the price and after reading all the reviews I’m more so pleasantly surprised by the way the couch looks and feels. The instructions are terrible but I it. The pieces were all over the place in the box so the failed on that. I will need to buy new legs because they are rather short and I have bad knees. Need some throw pillows because the arms of the couch are barely cushioned. My father is a carpenter and he told me to reinforce the foundation at the joints to prevent splitting the wood which would cost me about $65 in materials, but overall for $200 he would definitely recommend this purchase. Just don’t plop on the couch or do any “naked wrestling” on it until you reinforce the frame.
Really pretty couch. Wasn’t too hard to put together but some holes didn’t line up. I changed the plastic feet for wood ones.
Reason for 4 stars is it’s so uncomfortable. It’s very firm. But, it’s pretty to look at.
Okay. The reviews definitely made me super skeptical. But what the hey it's a couch for $250. You're not going to get some high end, extremely comfortable couch for that price.
Given that's a cheap couch, I'm not expecting much from it or to be a forever couch.
The color was exactly what I ordered, Beige, and came in 2 boxes - cushions and framework. It was delivered on time. It was easy to assemble, you're suppose to put the hardware in the backing and sides before you try and attach it to the frame. I had a few extra hardware in my package. I like that the cushions are firm and won't wear out in a couple months. I bought a few extra pillows($5 at Wal-Mart) since it's so deep but it helps make it look better. We're just starting out in a house, so it's a nice couch to start with.
I was terrified to assemble this, as I am not usually good with that, but I was able to do it under an hour. The cushions are great. The back is very thin and hard. Feels like if anything starts to break..it will be the back first (it was the bottom that broke first) and the arms feel like they will break off if you lean against them. This is NOT a couch for families or people that like lounging on the couch for long periods. I have had it since November (2 months) and the bottom has already collapsed in on one side and the couch slants downward so if you sit on it..you slide forward. It's a pretty couch if you just want to have it sitting unused or lightly used in a formal room. Our family will be replacing ours as soon as we can afford to.
I ordered two couches in light gray. They showed up in four boxes, two boxes had the frames and two boxes had the cushions. The first couch I assembled was a nightmare, mostly because I was trying to fit the bolts through the holes in the frame then trying to align where they should screw in.
Save yourself hard work and screw the bolts into the arms and backs first then fit into the holes on the frame, much easier.
When I went to assemble the seceond couch, I opened the frame box to find a dark gray frame and pillows which is not what I ordered. This would have been fine, but when I opened the seat cushion box, it had light gray cushions in it. The couch looks silly with light gray cushions and a dark gray frame.
I reached out to customer service on November 23rd and November 28th and have still not received any response.
The couches themselves are a good quality and very firm, but the customer service of this company is horrendous.
I bought this couch for my mother. She is in her 60's with no pets.
She is super thrilled about it and says she loves it.
I don't know how hard it was to assemble. I paid for the assembly service through Amazon. And mom says they got done fast.
I will update this as time goes on and mom has had some time with it.
I've attached the picture she sent me once it was done. Because I live in a different state I will be relying on feedback from her.
I think it was a good deal.
Its such a beautiful sofa! The only problem is the stiffness of the cushions. I didn't realize the back was so short and pillows at less than 16" but I love the classic beauty it brings to my living room. I plan on restuffing the cushions with more plush fibers, but at this price, who cares! I also love the way it was packaged. I didn't know sofas came in boxes. And it was very easy to assemble and very light weight.
