Bought this scale to weigh my litter of puppies. It's fantastic so far. I just put a plate on it, tare the plate, and then set a puppy on it. Works like a charm. Would definitely recommend it. Plus it's very nice looking. Great for the kitchen if that's what you're buying it for.
This stainless steel scale works really well for us. For the price you can't beat it.
If you cook and bake a lot like we do, the scale helps achieve an accurate measurement. It's super convenient when a recipe calls for an ingredient in grams and you don't have the tools to measure, this scale is simple to use and accurate.
In our video you can see it turns on quickly. You can change the unit while the item is on the scale. And it turns off within seconds.
We've used this scale many times over the last few years and we are still using the same AAA batteries it came with.
The small grips on the bottom of the scale are nice to have.
Overall it's a great scale and even better price!
This scale is terrible. It is true, you get what you pay for and I only paid $8. The weight reading continues to move up and down. I used a calibrated scale side by side and weighed 4 grams. This scale went back and forth from 3-5 while the other one gave exactly 4. Honestly wish I had spent a little extra money on a better scale. I work in law enforcement and need more precise weights than +/- 1.
I just recently received this beautiful and most of all easy to use kitchen scale by Etekcity! This scale was extremely accurate and precise. When measuring cooking ingredients, I was relieved to know that the digital scale did not become imprecise, meaning bouncing back and forth between decimal points despite the unit changes when shifting to and from grams, ounces, and milliliters. Overall, the scale could also virtually fit anywhere in a kitchen (I.e., kitchen drawer, cabinet, on the counter etc.) In addition, the scale is quite nicely made and I suspect that it will be very durable and last me a long time!
Easy to use, pretty accurate scale, love the way it looks (very sleek and easy to clean since its a stainless steel top)
The only issue i had is looking at the actual read out... Since the entire thing is pretty flat on the top, if you place any sort of decent sized bowl or plate, it completely obstructs the digital screen. You end up having to see if you can push back the bowl and get a look at while bending over to look under the curve of the bowl or placing a thinner box and the plate or bowl on top of the box.
Honestly the scale would have been 5 stars but the fact you cant see the display without going through a mission is pretty annoying.
EDIT: After giving it 3 stars Etekcity contacted me to let me know that they had a larger version and sent it free of charge, it was the
I put a container and then added some pre cooked chicken to see how much it was, i took it all off and did the same process again and it gave me the same results. I tried other things as well and it stayed accurate!
I bought this weigh cuz I wanna know about my nutrition intake precisely. Everything worked pretty fine and the two buttons covered all the actions which is neat and easy to get hands on.
The video is just me having fun testing it's minimum display weight. It turns out that if you are going to measure anything between 0 to 3 grams, it might not be the one you need (don't know what weigh you should buy but probably a libra???). But for things heavier than 3 grams, it will be perfect.
I bought a new house last year (new to me, house was built in 2007) and the first thing I did was replace all of the appliances with stainless steel appliances, I also installed a stainless steel sink & faucet and added all sorts of stainless steel stuff, see my pictures. I have been using a kitchen scale for about a ~decade now. After getting the Etekcity scale I ran several comparison tests with my other scale and was happy with the results so I threw away the scale I was using. With my experience, I will be happy if I can get ~5-6 years use out of this scale before I have to buy another.
For those claiming inaccuracies, you know the jar or can adds weight right? They label shows the weight of the contents but not the packaging. The scale is completely accurate. There should be an iq test before you can leave a negative review. Honestly I’ve gone through a few scales now mainly due to the batteries they use. I love this one uses AAA. The metallic finish matches my fridge so it looks nice on the counter top. It’s small but not so much so that you can’t put a plate or something on there to get your weights. I just wish that it cane with a tray. Previous scales ive purchased had trays that made weighing lighter stuff easier. But all in all this is the best bang for your buck in my opinion.
I have shown here different weigh of item and the scale shows more weight then the actual weight. I don't know what I have paid for. I don't like to go after this in returning process n all. I wish if Amazon can kindly refund my money. As I have attached the picture for your acknowledgement. Thanks
Really nice digital scale. Bought it for weighing coffee for my grinder Good size surface area for weighing.
Despite some users saying it's inaccurate, I borrowed a 200g weight to test it. As per the attached photo, it got 201. That's plenty accurate for me.
