No you do not need a box spring for this but you could use one if you would like I’m using a box spring with my due to the height I wanted I absolutely love this bed frame for the amount of money I spent it will do !
I was worried about the quality since it was so cheap but it turned out to be really good. Be patient and follow the instructions carefully and don't tighten the screws until you're all done, (that way if you accidentally put one in the wrong place, you can remove it easily).
This is a really nice bed. It’s really heavy and a great value. The instructions can be really confusing but that’s why it says don’t tighten the screws till it is all together.
This bed frame and base are very sturdy. I like the fact that the slats are secured to the frame keeping them from moving. Also down the center of the frame there are additional legs to support the bed. This does limit some of the storage capacity but it is worth the trade off to have the base sturdy.
I looked at A LOT of these more affordable bed options on places like Wayfair before deciding on this one. Reviews on others, particularly those with wooden slats, made many of them out to be wobbly and prone to breakage. Then I stumbled on this one and the reviews were more favorable. And they were right—this bed feels sturdy, it doesn't move or shake when I move around at night (and I'm not a small person), and the metal rod-style slats don't seem like they'll ever break. It took me a little finagling to put together as a single person, but I managed. Once you get the two ends on, the rest is really easy even for one person. Took me about an hour and half, but I imagine it would take two people an hour. Also, initially they said it would be delivered the last week of August/first week of September, but it arrived more than a week early! Overall, really pleased with this purchase! Great value for the low price.
This bed was a great buy. I did build it by myself and it took me hours BUT with that said, once I was done it was worth it. Looks better in person than the picture. Sturdy and I was able to place my mattress on top with no problems. It is easy to move around on a bare floor, but I did add sliders under the legs before I was done to avoid any scratches. Over all I am not disappointed.
The bed is sturdy and easy to assemble ( it would have been easier if I didn't tighten the screws 'til I finished assembling it ☺️). I like how it looks good in my bedroom. The only downside I notice is that the metal part is not a smooth finish, i don't feel like touching it at all.
This bed frame was easy to put together and is pretty sturdy. I do find that there are a couple of slats that make a popping sound when I switch positions. I have to try and figure out how to make that stop.
