I bought a new sectional for my family room in April. The delivery guy applied some round furniture guards and pads on the feet of my new furniture to protect my wood floor and keep the sectional in place. Our family spend a lot of time together in the family room - however we found out that with the 5 of us spending time on the sectional , it never stays in place and we had to constantly reposition the sectional , otherwise none of us will be comfortable lounging in the family room. It was so annoying and was taking too much of our time . I searched online to find the best pads/guards that will keep the sectional in place and immovable. I decided to gamble on this product and I'm so glad I did. It has been a week since I applied the pads and the sectional is still in place. We even attempted to move part of it just to test - but it was like moving a mountain .this product is great and delivers as promised .
We have a recliner in the corner of our living room located in front of a glass sliding door. Our son is 4 years old and likes to run and crash into the chair. I was really afraid he would eventually push the chair so far it would crash and break the glass door. We bought these non slip pads knowing they would need to be cut and hoping they would work to hold the chair in place on two different surfaces. The front of the chair base is on an area rug, the back of the chair base is on vinyl flooring. It works perfectly on both surfaces! My son has crashed into the recliner numerous times and it hasn't budged from the location I originally placed it in.
I just received this today and immediately opened to use it. After I affixed these to the first two legs of my cabinet. I moved the cabinet slightly to lift And stick them for the remaining 2 legs and the product disintegrated and gave skid marks to my new flooring. I had to scrub it off to remove the stain. This is frustrating because my cabinet was heavy. I was going to use this product for our other much heavier furnitures, given this experience it may not even hold the much heavier furniture.
I picked this product because it’s product description specifically emphasized “especially for HEAVY furniture. Maybe I just got an old stock. Products shouldn’t stain any type of flooring. Will be sending this back.
Time will tell if these hold up to daily use but I needed these for my sectional that would not stay still on our hardwood floors!
I flipped the sectional over, removed the nailed on floor protectors that were causing us so much grief, and stuck these square pads on. Things were going good until I had to flip the sectional back over and realign the metal locking tabs. Picking up the pieces from one end and having to scoot it over just enough to get the tabs in line was surprisingly difficult. After a few minutes of trying, I decided to just wait for help. I could have tried harder but I didn't want the pads to slip off the feet after just being applied.
This is a good buy.
Absolutely love. Used it to secure my child's furniture. Now she is upset that she cannot push and slide chairs around the room , but oh well... definitely worth it. One square is enough to do 2 legs.
Very happy with this purchase, we bought new couches that were much lighter weight than our old ones and they were constantly moving around on our laminate flooring when people would sit on them. It was very annoying having to straighten them constantly! After reading reviews I decided to give these a try and am so glad I did! I trimmed them with some scissors so they would fit on the feet without overhang, and they do not move now. We actually had to pick the couches up to move them where we wanted, they wouldn't move with us trying to push them. We'll see how long they last, we've had them on the couches for about 2 weeks now so time will tell, but for the price I'm very pleased with the result and would definitely order again.
I'm so happy with the non slip of this product. We have 4 dogs that we tried to contain in a section of our house with a dog gate. This was allowing them to have access to a larger area when we were not home and have access to a dog door to let themselves outside to a screened porch. Small as they are (all under 20 lbs), they managed to push the gate out of the way and access the entire house. We tried some non skid pads I picked up from Walmart but they failed to hold them back. In a final attempt to use the gate and not have to confine them to a small room in our house, I gave these pads a try. SUCCESS. They cannot nose, jump on, or bull their way through or push the gate aside with these pads. I'm so happy. I truly did not expect the pads to be any better than what I had. I would be confident that using these pads with the weight of the furniture pressing down on them, the furniture would not slide.
My 90-year-old mother couldn't get up because her chair kept sliding on her new hardwood floors. The base of the chair is VERY narrow (it's a big, round circle), so I had to cut these into strips, but OMG did they do the job. I decided to put these on her couch as well, as it kept sliding whenever anyone sat on it. Not any more! These things make furniture practically impossible to move accidentally, and appear to be very safe for her (rather expensive) hardwood floors. Great stuff!
I’m so annoyed with these furniture grips. I have a big nursery rocking chair that’s always sliding around and it disturb my baby, so I figured, “hey, these look really strong, why not?” So I ordered 1 pack and placed them on the bottom and my rocking chair. However, my chair wouldn’t rock smoothly anymore. So then I had to spend another $16 or so to place these stickers back to back to ensure a smooth rocking motion as my little one is very picky. Finally, I figured I could rock my baby to sleep without flying into the wall - then what do you know? BANG I’m in the wall, and baby is awake and pissed. I’m so mad I wasted $30 on this crap.
These work great and can be cut with kitchen scissors. Even the smallest dots on the bottom of my glass tables stops the tables from being moved on the hardwood floor when Roomba bumps into them. The best part his I'm not constantly satisfying my OCD by putting furniture back where it belongs after my kids or wife leave a room :)
We have a 2-person sofa in our hardwood living room. We had the front feet of the sofa set on an area rug and anytime someone sat on that couch – the force/momentum of their body would push the couch backwards. Tired of moving the couch back and forth every time we had someone over – I ordered and slapped a couple of these on the bottom of the back two feet. Now - when I (160lbs) sit on the sofa like a normal person would – it doesn’t budge. These do the job that we needed these to do. These were a bit tough to cut (needed to cut into smaller pieces to fit the width of the feet) – but shouldn’t be a problem with the adequate larger scissors.
I have dogs that often use the couch as part of their obstacle course. They could send the whole sectional toward the window. Now it's stuck in place and barely even moves. Now I'm more afraid that it might roll over than slide.
(Purchased those to stop an old couch from slipping on a hardwood floor one wall to the other)
I am genuinely impressed by this product. They stick VERY well, and does the job... That is : they don’t freakin slips!! You read that right. I can’t count how many anti-slip low-quality pads I purchase before those, and they are the first that gets the jobs done.
Recommended. And did I mention that they don’t slip?
