DUMEE Black Metal Bed Frame Queen Size with Headboard and Footboard Metal Platform Slats Support,Textured Black

Read reviews that mention:

I purchased this bed for ~$180 to use in my apartment. I didn’t want to have to purchase a boxspring, so I spent days researching platform beds and finally decided on this one. It was a bit of a “risky” purchase, with so few reviews, but I decided to give it a shot.

The box was delivered without any damage and contained everything I needed to build the frame. The bags for the smaller pieces (bolts, screws, etc.) seemed to have one extra for everything required, which I appreciated.

The directions were very clear, and made it super easy to build the bed even without help. On the front page of the manual, it says it should take ~45 minutes with 2 people. I did it alone in just over 2 hours - even with a few breaks.

It is a bit tough to tighten the bolts all the way in certain places with the Allen wrench given, but it just takes a little maneuvering and some patience. I did tighten up the joints after about two weeks of use - which has stopped the few, little squeaks that I had been hearing.

I’m very happy with my purchase.

The bedframe is very solid (there are a lot of supports). My first night sleeping on the bed felt too firm for my liking. The center-line supports are the full height of the space beneath the frame. Ideally, the supports would be slightly shorter so when weight is put on the bedframe, there would be a little give, to allow some minor compression (and not feel like you’re sleeping on a board) and the leg would make contact with the floor at that point. I purchased some felt furniture pads (1”-diameter) and used those to raise the 4 perimeter legs just that little bit to allow for some give in the center supports. For 3 of the legs I used 2 felt pads, stacked, putting them on the bottom of the leg. One of the legs of my bedframe is on carpet and I used only 1 felt pad for that leg. I’m especially proud of the success of this idea and thought others may want to know.
This bed has super, easy-to-follow instructions and only took me under 1.5 hours to assemble by myself! I would highly recommend as it also has A LOT of support beams and enough room (10 in) clearance underneath for storage!
This is Bill's wife doing the review. I bought two queen size beds for a large room in our cabin. I put them together with little to no trouble at all. If you'd put together anything by IKEA then this is not a lot different, just more substantial and of better quality. The first one took about three hours but the second only an hour and a half. The most important thing is to lay out all your materials first, check them against the list, read through and follow the instructions (ie, don't tighten the bolts fully until nearing to the end!) and then you're there! The beds are quite comfortable without a box spring mattress, don't squeak and are easy to move, and the bronze color is better than I had expected. More like chocolate. If I hadn't already bought two I'd buy another.
Overall this is a great looking bad. It feels pretty solid once it gets put together and I think it will be great for my guests. My only complaint and the reason why I gave it four stars versus five is the directions. While they are easy to follow I literally had to use my phone to zoom in on some of the instructions. The font is very very very small And hard to read. Other than that, it was pretty easy to put together and took me about 90 minutes to assemble.
This is probably one of the sturdiest bed frames I have ever owned in my adult life. I purchased this bed in May and I could not ask for anything better. It's well crafted and quite heavy even though it does not look like it in pictures and on top of that, it is absolutely gorgeous in person! Anyone who wants a metal bed that does not screech the minute you sit down, this is the bed for you! (I would recommend tightening the bolts as much as you can. It certainly makes a difference!) You will not be disappointed.
Got the twin bed. Overall sturdy and cute for the price. However, one of the drilled wholes was off so I had to fuss with that, plus one of the post inserts was dented so I had to reshape with pliers and bang on for it to fit. When it was done, I was pleased!
Bought this for my college age daughter to use in her apartment at school. Really was not expecting much but really was very impressed with the engineering and design of the bed. It took two of us about 30 minutes to assemble it from start to finish. If you have ever worked with Ikea products then this will be a breeze. Once it is put together it really is a great bed. We had no issues with assembly and found that they had provided extra of almost every screw and bolt needed. Very lightweight but seems to be durable. I would highly recommend this bed.
Liked. Just had to review. I never review, and i but a ton from Amazon. It came quickly. The best was that all the parts were not only there, but labeled very well. You didn't get a bag of nuts and bolts, have to sort them into piles, count and compare to pictures for identification. They had quantities and pictures, but each nut/bolt type was sorted into their own zip lock baggy so there was no way to make a mistake. All of the various bars were similarly sorted, bagged and labeled. Someone has really figured this out well.
UPDATE: after I left this review the company contacted me several times to try and get me to remove my review. They wouldn't give me a refund. The most they offered was $50.

This bed frame is dangerous. We got about a month out of this frame before support legs started snapping off for no reason (one time I was just changing the sheets & a leg fell off). My partner and I started placing bets on what was going to be the thing that broke this bed frame. To our surprise, it was sleeping soundly in the middle of the night. The whole headboard area collapsed and we fell into the wall; fun way to wake up. We had to dismantle the remains because there were sharp metal pieces sticking out from it breaking, and it was beyond fixing to the point where we could not go back to bed & deal with it in the morning, we had to disassemble immediately. It was a great 2am experience.

This frame is rickety, it squeaks even from the smallest movement. I'd be careful with your more athletic activities if you have this frame... I was afraid it was going to break mid-activity & I'd get impaled by a metal post.
I am not happy that I have to write a negative review...I always try to look at the positives of any given situation/hurdle, but remaining positive has been hard.

My partner and I purchased this bed specifically because it did not have any wooden slats/was not made out of wood in general. We avoided any bed frame made with/out of wood because we have had bed bugs 4 times and have been extremely scared and financially drained from each incident. Our research and local exterminators both pointed to metal furniture being the best possible option to avoid a re-infestation, so we bought this frame in the hope that our problem would be finally over.

It came in the mail fairly quickly and assembly took about an hour (which is what some other reviews of this bed said). Initially, we were incredibly happy with it: our problem was going away, we finally had a bed frame that we could safely put our mattress on, and our nightmare seemed to be coming to a close. Unfortunately, we had the bed frame for a little over a week and we noticed that the 5 smaller legs supporting the bottom began to slant and bend leftwards. We readjusted the tightness of the legs and thought that we would be okay. Unfortunately, they only kept, and continue to, bend; the one left leg (closest to the middle leg) broke and the outermost right leg is very close to breaking now, too. We ended up having to purchase some PVC piping, saw it to the legs' lengths, and insert them under the bed. We also purchased some pads to help with the pressure and to not scratch up the floor. This was a very temporary solution because after a day the legs went back to bending and we are afraid that more will break.

I wish that I could say that this bed is amazing, but we are going to have to find another frame of some sorts...I truly hate that I have to write something like this because it's not in my nature to be negative :( I am not sure what other solution that we can do/use to try and salvage this frame. It is a beautiful colour and style and we were truly hoping that this would be the end of our situation but, unfortunately, it was not.

If anyone knows of any potential solutions (not wood related) to try and salvage this frame, please let me know.
I was blown away with the quality of this bed frame, especially considering the reasonable price. The instructions suggest 2 people, and it definitely would have been easier to do with a second set of hands, but it’s doable on your own, I managed to assemble it myself in ~30min. Once assembled, the frame is sturdy and I have had zero issues with it. The instructions are easy to follow, all pieces (including extra bolts) were accounted for, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I bought 2 queen frames for my girls.
The first one took 3 hours to put together but the second one was a breeze at only an hour.
Only wish they'd put words with the pictures it may have made putting the first one together easier.
Well we've had the 2 frames from a year now and other than having to constantly tighten the screws and bolts plus the legs bending they are nice frames! A suggestion would be to make sure it's on carpet so movement doesn't loosen things!
