Much better than all cotton dishcloths because: they are VERY absorbent, yet easy to wring out completely (and I mean completely!) after use; when using them to wash dishes, things like jar garlic "seeds", tomato "seeds," etc., are easily rinsed out, unlike all cotton cloths; and because you can wring them out completely, they work really well to dry the sink after washing dishes, clean counters off, etc. And as advertised, they don't stink! Today I threw several of them in the washing machine and hung them up to air dry, but discovered too late that I'd put one in the dryer. It shrank by at least an inch all around. My husband said, "Maybe if you run water on it, it will get big again!" He was joking, but it DID return to its normal size when I ran water over it! So, they can be put in the dryer if you want! VERY happy with this purchase, and highly recommend these.
I’ve been on the hunt for kitchen cleaning rags and tried MANY. This may seem pricey but it’s a great value because it’s so easy to clean at the sink (or sterile with boiling water), unlike cloths, you don’t need a large supply to always have a clean cloth.
It’s sturdy like a sponge and absorbs TONS of water and it squeezes almost dry, then dries in no time, even when it’s pouring rain.
It’s flexible like a cloth when wet/damp and can clean any surface or tight spot. Great for wiping shower/bathroom fixtures dry.
Because it’s so easy to clean with soap and water in the sink or boil to sterilize, there’s no need for a dozen to have a clean sponge/cloth all the time, or to do dirty rag laundry regularly. Great product!!
Excellent seller. Arrived quickly with nice hand written note.
I’m a fan of these for their attractive colors, usefulness, washability, and quick-drying characteristics. I will say that even when dry, they are not a substitute for a steel scrub pad for really baked on cooking mess. Not only will it not get really tough stuff off, but the dishcloth will shred a bit with the attempt. So don’t toss your heavy-duty scrubber for pans just yet, but I do recommend these for everyday use in the kitchen.
While I was trying to get a sense of the dimensions to figure out what kind of container would best hold these, another reviewer’s photo of the cloths standing upright in a napkin holder was extremely helpful. I bought 2 packs of 10, and both packages fit into the napkin holder pictured in the photo. I’ve reviewed that napkin holder on a Amazon also, so if you are interested check out my review for the correct link.
While these are washable, I’m not sure if they should go through the dryer. Because many people do laundry here, so far all mine have. They are perfectly usable afterward, but it does distort their shape considerably. I’m not sure if that can be avoided by air-drying; if I get a chance to test with the remaining new ones before someone else in the family tosses them in the dryer, I will update the review to let you all know.
I rarely write reviews, but these deserve a shout out. SO much more substantial than Handiwipes and you can really can really scrub with them but they never feel yucky like a sponge does. I have soaked them in bleach, thrown them in the washer and they come out great every time. I've used the same two for a month now and they still look great, when they go downhill I can compost them. I only wish they had a few other colors, maybe a royal blue or sage green?
I was looking for Swedish dishcloths for every day use. You get 10 in a pack and they are high quality, colors are bright, they are long lasting and work great. I will be ordering these from now on! A nice touch was the small family business included a nice hand written note thanking me for my order. Icing on the cake knowing I was supporting Main Street and not Wall Street!
I was given a decorative Swedish dishcloth as part of a Christmas gift. I loved it and used it until it was beyond repair. These are exactly like the one I had, with the exception of the design painted on it. Honestly, who cares? It's not like I hang it on my wall. These are absorbent and washable, and because they dry so quickly, they're very resistant to that moofie smell that a typical sponge develops over time. Because this is a pack of 10, I can keep multiple dishcloths in rotation in the bathroom and kitchen, and just toss them into the laundry with my towels. I like to keep one in my glovebox to quickly soak up any accidental spills in my car. Because they're lint free, they're even great for cleaning the inside of my windshield.
These are weird, but not in an entirely bad way. They're not soft and flexible like regular kitchen towels. You can definitely tell these are a sci-fi freaky sponge-towel hybrid. They absorb liquids like magic and leave nothing behind. However, the color is god-awful and makes it look like I'm using hospital sheets to wipe my counters.
After washing per manufacturer instructions, they dry to crispy sheets that refuse to lay flat. Not a horrible drawback, but they're impossible to use for some purposes. For example, I like to lay out a clean paper towel for coffee spoons and spills each morning. My intention was to use these instead. After washing (and letting them air dry), they are so weirdly lumpy and uneven you can't lay a spoon on them.
They're not bad for general purposes, and they have washed well without staining. Any rough use will quickly degrade the towel, so keep an eye out for bits falling off. We just toss them in the compost bin when they get grungy or crumbly.
I will not purchase these again. For the price, I expected them to be softer and to dry to flat sheets again. Very expensive for what you get.
This is an awesome alternative to traditional dishcloths--I like using these in the kitchen. They dry very quickly if you wring them out, and I don't have to worry about these building up mildew.
These are not Swedish, they are Chinese. They are an expensive sub-standard substitute. I have used the real Swedish product and it lasts and lasts. This sponge falls apart after one or two uses. I have used it to wipe windows and after one use, the sponge starting shedding bits. My husband used one to wipe apple windfalls and after one use, it was shedding bits. Do not accept this inferior product. The real Swedish product is worth every penny.
There is absolutely nothing Swedish about these!
Would definitely purchase these again. The colours are great. Wash perfectly. After using they dry so quick. Never musty smell like your regular cloth dishcloths..
I've recently started using reusable dishcloths and love that they can be put in the washing machine and then reused. These dishcloths are even better than the ones I've used before - they seem to be a bit more sturdy, last longer and look less dirty. Love that they also come in a bulk pack.
These are not as described... when I opened the package I thought they were the packing material. They are basically papertowels not quality reusable cellulose sponge cloths. A partial refund was offered, I cut my losses and took it but this is my first disappointment in ordering on Amazon.
