This has got to have the most plastic of all plastic handles. I think I had GI Joes that were made with better plastic than this when I was a kid. Terrible to hold.
It was nice that I had to wash the reinforced tape strands off the blade though there was none on the actual packaging.
The deep and plentiful scratches in the blade were a nice touch. And no it wasn't on the blade it was into the blade. I tried washing them off and using a microfiber towel. Then I looked closer. Bummer man.
It is very sharp however but when you look at the edge is when it starts to sink in. This blade will not only not hold its sharpness but I'm not 100% sure it's made of what it's being claimed to be made of.
It's going outside into the garbage can. It happens..

This is a no nonsense plain 8" chef knife The steel is pretty good quality. You can't go wrong with the price.
