I bought this in 2016, and am going to purchase another one... not to replace, but because I need two. Mr. Comforter Hog keeps rolling himself into a giant, 280 pound burrito, leaving me to freeze.
The comforter has worked out perfectly, despite the comforter thief. He generates more heat than a million suns, but needs to be covered. I, on the other hand, am generally cold. The way this regulates temperature is wonderful. The Burrito doesn't overheat and I don't freeze. This applies to every season of the year... so we have never had to buy seasonal bedding.
It is comfortable, soft and lightweight. It provides me with just enough weight that I feel comfy and protected.
I've washed it weekly for two years. It has retained its color and shape. There are just a few loose threads that are probably due to three cats kneading... they love the comforter too, evidently.
Oh... and it's affordable.
So, I'm back to buy another.
Oh man I gotta say, this was a real comfy blanket and did a decent job keeping me warm at night but... the stitching is AWFUL. After the first watch I noticed the stitching going that holds the inner stuffing with the lining. Okay a few go, not a problem, it's still holding it in place. But after about a month or so, the insides have completely come loose and balled up between the lining making the blanket useless because there are large parts of it that are no longer insulating and are just two thin sheets. Not only that but the outer stitching has gone too, leaving gaps where the edges are no longer held together. Amazon, what gives?
EDIT: 2 months later, only used for about a month - I HATE this “comforter.” It’s ridiculousky thin and splits along the seam. Only washed once and it feels threadbare. DO NOT buy this.
1. There is NO WAY this is true to size. Ordered a king based on other reviews for my queen bed, glad I did, it barely fits the queen.
2. The material is soft, but feels very cheaply made. We'll see how it holds up.
3. Got here quickly and it is inexpensive - would probably be great for a dorm room/apartment set up.
UPDATED 7/6/15 - I really liked this blanket and thought it was comfortable but after one week of use I could start to hear the stitching tear whenever I moved in bed. The stitching does not seem to be done very well... which diminishes the product quality. I immediately knew that this was a bad product when I received my second blanket. I contacted Amazon about this and they kindly sent me a replacement free of charge (thank you Amazon customer service, you are the best). So when I opened my new blanket I was sorely disappointed and surprised to see that the blanket was already torn open revealing the stuffing inside. I haven't even taken the blanket out, the tear is the first thing I noticed when I unzipped the packaging. I am amazed that Amazon would even sell an obviously defected blanket. I am really disappointed because I really liked this blanket, but it is just made too cheaply and I will not buy another one.
Original - 6/30/15
I was looking for a light-weight blanket for the summer and this is just what I was looking for. It's soft and comfortable helping me sleep through the night. I'd wish there was more of a color selection though. I like the double sided colors but would definitely have gotten a green blanket (my favorite color) if there was one.
i do like this comforter, i really do, but it has one issue that causes me to only give it four stars. basically you get what you pay for. you can’t expect some luxurious comforter for $25, but it is very soft and fits my queen bed very well. i actually really like this comforter, and as i tend to accidentally damage them every now and then.. id rather not buy a really nice one for my room knowing i'm probably going to either spill something like nail polish on it or accidentally burn it. so this is good for my needs. i would give it 5 stars BUT it has a major flaw in the stitching. the hem around the comforter that holds the top and bottom together and the thin layer of stuffing inside, it only has one single stitch. you can literally pull it apart if you pulled hard enough. i’m not sure how it’s going to hold up in the washing machine, and i’m certainly not going to put it on a rough cycle!! i’m not even sure how long it’s going to hold up with wear and tear. if I had a sowing machine of my own, I would just go around and add another row of stitching.. which is what i suggest bc i suspect i’ll be sowing this by hand at some point. so other than the single row of stitching it’s a really nice blanket for the price
I wish I could give this 5 stars. But I can’t. I’ve had the two of them on my king bed (side by side), one for me, one for hubby, for less than two months and the sewing on the cross seams and stitching has come loose. I didn’t notice it until my toe got stuck in it. Womp Womp!!! I thought I was getting a quality spread/comforter. It’s thin too. Soft, but thin. (Which I was fine with bc I live in a very warm/hot place. But stitching is terrible. Looks like I have to get out my sewing machine and do some reinforcement.
The piece was way to thin. Not sure if that is how it was supposed to be. But , there are better quality Amazon comforters, with a slight change in price. Go for them maybe.
Awesome
its a very light weight material just what I was looking for ...
most comforters are either too thick or too thin so this is the perfect blend
Reading the other reviews i noticed that the durability is quite bad and it gets worn off quite easily so I'm currently using it with a duvet cover that i already had
