I love that this comforter has nice crisp cool material that is soft and silky to touch, HOWEVER.... If you are looking for weight and warmth this is NOT the comforter for you. It was very thin when I received it because it was pressed send vacuum sealed. It did, however, fluff up nicely after about 5 hours if rest lying flat and a dmall tumble in the dryer. It LOOKS full and pretty, but it is cool and lightweight. Needless to say, I'm going to keep it for a week and try it out. I am used to an iver filled down alternative comforter that is VERY heavy and warm. This is white different, yet elegant and seems to have superior quality. I'm just not sure bring down that it is thick or heavy enough for my liking. I'll try it out and see. Hope this answers any questions potential buyers may have. If your looking for full yet cool lightweight, dnd crisp this is the comforter for you.
UPDATE.....After having the comforter for 3 days and tumbling it in the dryer it has fluffed up A LOT! I am REALLY happy now. If you purchase this comforter give it 3 days to a week with a wash or at least a tumble. It will expand. Beautiful
I’m absolutely satisfied with my purchase.
I ordered a King size unsure if it would actually cover the sides of our bed, and wondered about the quality. The duvet came packaged in a very nice zippered bag. I opened it and laid it over our guest bed to allow it time to fluff before placing it on our bed. ( I didn’t notice any odors when I opened the package. ) When I returned to the guest room to check the progress ( 2 hours) I was very impressed with how lofty it got, each square was puffy!
I placed it on our King bed and again was impressed. The size is great, it covers the sides of the mattress perfectly. Since I put it on the bed in December, the wrinkles have continued to fall out, and a good fluff when making the bed makes it nice and puffy.
The duvet is beautiful to look at. I plan to buy a duvet cover for it, but have been using it with a top sheet underneath until I find a duvet that I like.
The duvet is relatively light weight. It keeps us comfortable. We haven’t been too hot, nor is it too light where we get cold.
I like that this duvet has a high thread count cotton cover. It doesn’t make much noise, and I haven’t had any feathers poke through yet. If you’re debating making this purchase, order it! You’re going to love it!
I'll admit I was a bit skeptical when I purchased but the quality has exceeded my expectations. I went with a king for our queen size bed due to the way I make it (folded down at the top). I highly recommend!!
This duvet / comforter is amazing! Soft and airy, but super warm and suitable for that fall chill. I sleep cold, so I'll probably throw on another comforter in the winter. Crawling into this duvet, it definitely feels cold initially, but I always wake up toasty warm, so believe in the duvet!
I have been using the item for a week (inside a duvet cover) and it hasn't shed on me. The duvet remains as fluffy as ever, no allergic reactions, no dust poofs when I aired it out initially. It's amazing, and so much cheaper than the in-store (read: big department store) duvets. Idk if the cotton is really 1200+ thread, but it's definitely way above the standard 300 thread with how smooth it feels. It's great.
I'll try to remember to update to see if it holds up in colder temperatures.
Edit: Been a few months, still poofy, still warm. :D Nothing has fallen out or stuck out of the duvet yet, so success!
Edit: 8 months in. It's less fluffy. I've had a total of 2 down feathers fall out (they stuck out a bit, so I pulled them out). It's light and fluffy for spring weather too :D
Bought 3 down previously and was very disappointed. I grew up with down blankets in Germany and they use to be much thicker and much warmer. Down sold these day are 1/3 as thick. All prior purchases were thin and not warm. This product was heavier and much warmer. Very pleased. The cells could be smaller to more evenly distribute the feather. Will purchase more.
One of the best purchases of my life! Beyond ecstatic. High quality. Extremely comfortable. Feels and looks VERY expensive. Love the feeling of having my very own high end hotel comforter. I would purchase this over and over again!
Pros: thick, somewhat heavy, covers king size bed nicely, so so warm.
Cons: kind of loud, like a crinkly sound (doesn't bother me but I thought it should be noted)
Tip: fluff comforter by shaking from all sides and corners for a solid 5 minutes. Then it will continue to fluff up on its own. Mine practically looked like the picture after a few hours of being out of the package. GREAT comforter for the price!
Really super nice. Not too heavy, but makes the duvet cover look very fluffy and appealing. Quality stitching. Good quality control. This was a great buy!
Dont be fooled by the description like i was, i have just thrown over $300 down the drain. its , it does not keep you warm ,it is not big fluffy like in the picture and its definitely an inferior product that you should not purchase.
do so at your own risk, and expense you have been warned!!!!!
Quick delivery, good quality - the description says it King Size Duvet but it's actually a Super King.
Description does state measurements 210 X 270 (which is super king size) so it's partially my fault for not checking the measurements properly.
Still, I would suggest that the seller edits description to Super King
I live in Northern Ontario and while the winter are cold, the summers can get really hot and muggy. This comforter is one for the books. TBD whether or not it holds up in the winter.. but we always need extra blankets in this climate any way.
Well it’s definitely lightweight. What it isn’t is worth almost $300. It’s not warm and the old ones one it was meant to replace (that was about a quarter the cost) is considerably thicker. Bad purchase.
