I have a cutting board that was too long for the over the door hooks, so I opted to use Command hooks instead of screws. It's holding up great! The width is perfect to hold 5 cutting boards of various sizes.
My cabinet wont close all the way with this on, and the tabs stick out a little bit instead of being flush, but it might just be the type of door I have. You also have to make sure there is enough space in the cabinet for when you close the door. It wouldn't work in a few of my cabinets that have shelves built in. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase and love the space it saves.
Fastened it to the side of our cupboards above a counter to store large cutting boards. Fits perfectly and sturdy.
I gave this product one star for two reasons: 1. I received either a defective product or incorrect set of screws to secure the basket to the arm, and 2. dealing with EPAutoDirect has been less than helpful. I emailed the company when I realized that the screws that came with the product didn’t work. I was pleasantly surprised when the company responded relatively quickly. However, the company became non responsive when i emailed them back to report their proposed solution didn’t resolve my issue. I am very disappointed as I bought this product based on the product review and seemingly ease of assembly.
I originally ordered this hanging organizer for my cutting boards, however it was too small for my largest cutting board. I now use it instead for all my ziplock bags/tin foil/saran wrap boxes. It fits quite a bit, I was able to fit 5 boxes vertically in the basket and as a result it has freed up an entire drawer in my kitchen. The basket is large and feels very secure. It comes with soft stick on pads so that the metal does not rub against your cupboards. The hooks themselves came as a separate piece that you screw into the organizer, they also have soft pads on the inside as to not damage the top of your cupboard.
This hanging organizer also comes with the hardware to mount this basket onto the inside of your cupboard if you chose to do so. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and I am considering to buy more for my other cupboards. Would recommend to anyone, especially if you are limited on drawer/cupboard space like I am.
Very sturdy. Very easy to put together. I like that you have everything you need to hang it over the door or attach it straight into the wood. Perfect size. It even has a soft coating on the inside of the handles. I was going to put my boxes of ziploc bags in there but they don't fit. That would probably make the basket protrude too far anyway though.
I was looking forward to organize my cutting boards and collapse colander If you will use it over the door with a lard cutting board, there is a big chance it will not fit on your cabinet door. The cutting board will be in the way.
Also, it only fit maximum 3 items like the picture.
The handle to put over the door is not tall enough to let the basket hang down.
if you will screw on the cabinet it may work. You may be able put in the level you Want.
When measuring your cabinet door to see if it will fit, remember to give some room for the hinges.
This is a good storage solution for things such as cutting boards and cookie sheets that take up a lot of room when stored flat, and fall over when stored upright. I chose to use the over-the-door hooks as I don't want to drill into my brand new cabinets. If you choose this option, you might run into the same issues that I have.
The brackets that hook over the door are quite wide and do not fit snugly over my cabinet door. To make them fit better I took a couple of mounting squares, folded them in half, stuck them together, stuck them to the inside of the bracket (interior side), and trimmed to fit. I did this for each side. (I stuck the backing paper back on the side that touches the wood so they don't permanently stick, damaging the finish.) This was enough to stop the organizer from flopping around when I shut the cabinet.
Now, the issue is the rattling. The thing still rattles and moves when opening and closing the cabinet. To solve this problem I took two Command Adhesive Small Wire Hooks, placed them tightly over the horizontal wire at the bottom that rests against the cabinet door, and stuck them to the door with the command adhesive strips.
Now, the organizer is firmly in place and does not move when opening and closing the cabinet, and I didn't have to permanently damage the wood by screwing the thing into place.
This organizer is a smart idea and nicely sized. It holds several cutting boards and three cookie sheets. In spite of requiring all of the modifications, I'm considering buying a second one to hold my cooling racks, roasting rack, and serving trays.
If I could make one suggestion to the manufacturer it would be to include optional shims in the package like the type which are often included with over-the-door organizers, so the hanging brackets can be used on narrower cabinets. Because it doesn't include a way to adjust the bracket depth, I only gave it 4 stars.
Made of cheap Material. Waste of money you can buy this in a dollar store for $5 waste of money.
None of the screws or teeny tiny bolt things fit ANY of the holes on this thing. I ended up using some wire to attach the two pieces together. It might be good for cutting boards, and pans as in the photo, but make sure your cabinet door is wide enough to accommodate it. I didn't measure properly so used it elsewhere and not where I really wanted it!
I don't know what genius designed this thing, but it was impossible to put together - the metal strips in the front prevent a screwdriver to achieve proper alignment with a screw :(. After several attempts to attach the part with a screw I gave up!
This hangs over the door in our kitchen cupboards and holds 3 thicker bamboo cutting boards. The one issues we have had with this product is that one of the screws keeps popping out of the support arm and we have to screw it back in otherwise the whole rack rotates to one side. This prevents us from shutting the door correctly unless we fix it.
It came w a better quality than I though. I use it as over the cabinet organizer. However, when u put a bit more weight into the organizer, it started to bend against the cabinet which made me really worried that it might broken one day. As the hanger part and the vertical part is not one piece. Looking for sth better than this. But not bad for some light items.
