to the top bed-rails and the bolt holes for the ladder and bed rails,,(,IT) matters!!!..

My kids room is pretty junky lol bht I wanted to show the photo. They are cleaning NOW and honestly it took maybe 30 mins to assemble I am so blessed and thankful. Thank you !

It was a fun project for my 10 yr-old to put together with me. I am especially impressed with room between the two bunks! I can sit in there without hunching (though I am only 5"3"). The corner posts are one long post, I wanted a bed that we could make two later, however since it is one post I think that it is sturdier. The lower score for sturdiness is that I can not safely climb up on the top bunk...because the whole bed starts to tip....but I don't think grown-ups were the ideal candidate to be climbing up and down. ;) The bottom appears to have enough room for many storage bins, but I haven't got there personally yet to do that, but my girls love playing under it for now. LOL. Overall it is a great bed and it seems like it is going to hold up for a while! And I also love the color!!!

The bottom is sturdy with a box spring + mattress. We actually managed to fit a full size mattress at the bottom and it's used by adults. Now, the top is wiggly and the rail to keep children from falling is not tall enough. We lined up the edges with giant stuffed animals. With just the twin mattress, there's only about an inch of rail left. All parts were accounted for.

Instructions poor. The ladder has very small round steps, unable to climb without shoes on. My 7 yr old grandson slipped off the ladder the very first time he tried to climb down (got pretty bruised from the fall).
One hole in support was not correct and could not be used. Wish we never bought it!

This was easy to put together. Only issue was we put sometimes backwards cause some of the directions were a little hard to understand but we figured it out...only took about an hour to assemble
