This is the good value knife block to create a quick set of tools for your kitchen. The knives are all sharp and work well, though they do feel a little light in the handles, but at this price point, it's hard to complain. Obviously, any stamped steel knives like this won't have the same feel and performance as forged steel, but the real "edge" here is the price.

Update: I read others' reviews about the knives rusting, so I made sure to hand wash mine promptly and put in a rack to dry. Well, sure enough, one of the steak knives has already started rusting, not even one month after purchasing the set, and after just one use and wash.

Update 2: More of the steak knives have shown rusting, and the scissors broke when I was using them (thankfully, Amazon promptly replaced them). I've been generally happy with AmazonBasics products, but the quality here is just not great.

I've had these for 6 months. They're still the sharpest knives I've ever had and I haven't even had to sharpen them since I opened them. They arrived almost scary-sharp. Like, the paring knife can easily cut a tomato in seconds without squishing it. We love these knives. Love love love love love. Didn't expect the quality to be anywhere near as good as it ended up being.

Purchased these 2 years ago when I first purchased my home. They are still working and have little to no damage. I am very please with this purchase! They compliment my kitchen and do not take up a lot of space. They work great cutting things as soft as lettuce or as hard as raw beets. I recommend these to anyone looking for something that will get the job done on a budget.

Sharp and cuts well. Make sure you dry them quickly as they will develop rust spots despite it being "stainless steel"

I got these as a Christmas present for my step dad. He enjoys them and uses them! They are sharp and comparable to more expensive alternatives.

However, I give 4 instead of 5 stars because the wood block arrived with some loose shavings that could splinter someone who hadn’t seen them first. It also had some scuff marks as if it were handled roughly.

Very surprised at the quality of these knives with a price under $25! There is nothing flimsy about the blades...thick, sturdy and they seem to hold an edge. The full tang adds strength and balance, a bonus not usually found when purchasing inexpensive knives. The black handles are plastic but I consider that a positive feature as I've found wood handles crack and discolor over time. I would absolutely recommend this knife and block set.

Received as a Christmas gift and so far very happy with these knives. They are very nicely weighted and sharp. After a quick wash once they were out of the packaging these got put to work. The weight helps each slice come through nice and clean (and didn't squish the tomatoes down!) The shears included are also very well made. Typically in a set like this the shears are garbage and not really worth having but these are fantastic. The block that holds the knife did have minimal dust in the slots so this will need cleaning before use.

Bought it as a present for my mom, and she loved it. So guys what I am sharing here is an account from my mom. Its a decent set of knifes ,sharp and aesthetically appealing in a modern kitchen. There are a set of six similar kind of knife given, could bring some variety in that aspect. Overall a good product.
PS : ensure that you don't keep wet knives in the holder as the wood decays faster on contact with water.

These are great quality and arrived very sharp. They have held their edge after a good bit of use, still look like new and haven't shown any sign of staining or rust.
I do a lot of wood work and have to keep my tools sharp but I've not had to even threaten these with the oil stone. You also get a nice knife block that is untreated which means you can stain or paint it to match the décor of your kitchen.

Surprisingly good knives that look the part and behave as needed. All of them are sharp out the box and have lasted longer before needing a sharpen than the pricier ones I have purchased from a certain meatball selling shop.

The chopping block however is reminiscent of a “my first carpentry” attempt and is unfinished so leaves a mess on the knives and counter.

Overall a great set of knives with a naff block but great value for what they cost.
