This was such a disappointment. After my father-in-law and mother-in-law spent four plus hours assembling the bed (including going to the store to get an extra long dowel because a few dowels were missing), we thought the bed was great. Within the next three weeks, wood has broken off below the slide, the ladder is completely unhinged, one of the rails is wobbly and the cute tent covers are only stuck on, so they’re going to lose their stickiness and be worthless without a thumb-tack job soon ( but will a thumb tack crack the soft wood?!). I wanted to return this product and Amazon and the company gave me the run-around and kept me on hold forever. Amazon said they would let me return it if I got a box from the Max and Lily company—but how many of us know how to disassemble beds and fit them perfectly into boxes? They’re making so much work for me and I’m just frustrated. Do yourself a favor and don’t buy this product. I want a refund and I still can’t figure out how to solve the problem of having a new broken bed that I hoped would last for at least five years.
I just assembled this bed, and it is very sturdy. The problem I had was the instructions where not completely clear on some of the steps. Some of the pieces were marked, but they were marked inconsistently. Example of piece 2 having a left and right side, one piece had the L and R stickers, the other piece 2 did not. This left me guessing which was left and right, I was unfortunately wrong and I had to take it apart to correct it. Also for the head and foot (end ) pieces that you assemble, there are 28 smaller boards, 7 in each row that are very annoying to deal with. To assemble the end pieces you have to leave the screws loose, then slide the smaller boards in place, then try to place the next board on while sliding the 7 smaller boards in at the same time. It took me a few tries to get all 7 boards in because I would get one in and another would slide out. Once you have the end pieces together you have 4 boards that connect them, and the instructions have you start with the top pieces which I would not recommend you try if assembling by yourself. The last part that annoyed me was the boards that go across to hold the mattress was slightly shorter than they should be, so the screws provided were too short to hold the boards on properly. I ended up making a trip to Home Depot to get some slightly longer screws which worked perfectly. If you are handy and have a little common sense you can get through this little project, but if you are a complete beginner you might want to ask for help from someone that has a little bit of a clue. The only reason I didn't 1 star this product is because when I completed it the bed is very sturdy. I did notice the warning saying no one under 6 years old should be on the top bed. I kind of wonder what the point of the slide would be except for kids around 3 to 6 years old.
My kids LOVE their new bed! It's very sturdy. This is one of the easiest things I've put together in terms of all the screws/holes matching and fitting properly. I finished the bed in about 5 hours and didn't need my husband's help at all (yes...I'm proud of myself lol).
I bought this for my two sons and I am totally happy with the decision. The bed came quickly despite buying it from a wait list. The product was in perfect condition out of the box. I was nervous to put it together because of other reviews I had read but it went together easily and quickly with no issues. I waited a couple months after assembly to write a review in case anything came up that I wasn't happy with but so far I have zero complaints. Even the curtains have stayed in place just fine, despite a rambunctious toddler flying through the door multiple times a day. These beds were a great deal and I'm glad I was able to purchase them. Highly recommend.
This is a very beautiful bunk bed and great value for price. It is very sturdy and has high rails, so I don’t afraid of my children falling from the top bed. We are very happy with our purchase, our girls plays with it for hours!
This bed is well made, sturdy and hold up to 400lbs per bed. It was easy to put together. My boys love their new beds.
My only issues was that it came in one big box and it weighted around 120
Getting that up the stairs was a challenge lol
I ha d to open it to take out parts in order to get it in the house.
This bed is the perfect fit for so many reasons!
It feels safe and sturdy. I go on it with the kids sometimes.
The slide is so fun and very sturdy and strong. They love playing in the tent. Its really pretty to look at too. I like that its low to the ground but not so low that I can't get in the bottom bunk when I tuck the kids in bed.
Well, I ordered the above bunk but another version was delivered. My husband put the bunk together and boy is it solid. Metal beam in the middle and screws and bolts that are perfect. There is nothing cheap or loose about this bunk. Great quality and very sturdy. I was always worried about buying a cheap bunk and having it fall apart or fall on one of my kids, worry gone. Bunk is a go for a smaller room or to save space.
