Another wonderful Hape product from Germany. Cute and simple design, wood with smooth rounded edges. and bright colors. It could have been painted one boring color all over, but one of the things I love about Hape is their attention to detail even in such simple form. Their toys are heirloom toys to be passed down for generations.

I could watch my granddaughter play with her Hape family for hours. It's entrancing to observe (and often be invited into) a child's imagination, and into the storylines that evolve so effortlessly. I wasn't too sure of the car being a worthwhile addition, as she's never been much into vehicles. I should have known a vehicle that transported her little family would be exactly what she wanted. She is all about the people, and everything else just expands the plots. That the car doors work is a huge feature and part of the ritual of boarding and disembarking, as of course there are rules and hierarchies that must be followed. One of them got booted from the car for putting their feet on the seat. No mercy, lol.

If you are stuck in analysis paralysis over which dollhouse accessories to buy, let me say that I've been there, and this was my favorite purchase. You won't regret buying this car.

It's easily one of the best doll/dollhouse accessories I've seen or owned. It is perfectly proportioned for 1:12 dolls, it's high quality, and so very functional. The dolls fit in nicely (this is critical) and the seats are large enough for them to stay seated. I have the HAPE dolls and Melissa and Doug and some other random dolls - they all fit and are supported by the seat backs. The wheels run smoothly. The quality and finish are perfect. The doors are sturdy and still open/close easily.

I've written a couple of negative reviews for HAPE accessories. I haven't been in love with HAPE's line of dollhouses and accessories at all. But Hape got it exactly right with this.

This is a dollhouse accessory you definitely won't regret.

Every good thing that was said about this Hape Wooden Doll Family Car is true. It is incredibly well constructed with doors that open and close. The heavier weight makes it travel farther without tipping and having dolls fall out. It has a roomy interior and is quite handsome. I believe it will last for several generations.

I have a Hape dollhouse and various rooms, although I wasn't too fond of the dolls that coordinate. They are wooden with bendable limbs and yarn hair that I was afraid would become disheveled with time. I purchased the You and Me Happy Family dolls (dad, mom, little sis, and baby; the big sister; and big brother sets). They seem to fit in this car quite well.

It is all made of wood. My son (2yrs old) plays with this for hours at a time. He opens and closes the doors which have a rubber band mechanism that allows them to stay open or closed. The wheels do move. The steering wheel is fixed in place. It's a very nice little car that fits perfectly in the garage of the Hape All Seasons dollhouse. My biggest (and only) complaint is that the car had been dropped and rammed into walls many times and the paint is starting to chip along the edges. I think if it's exposed to humid environments or water droplets are introduced into the split wood, it would cause it to warp and split even further. It is a gorgeous addition the the house and family, although I think my child may be too rough with all his toys right now. My 4yr old daughter is very gentle with the house and accessories and it suits her well.

This little car is the perfect addition to our Hape house. It's as sturdy as all of the other wooden Hape pieces we have, which I love because it will be around for years to come. It rolls well and the little doors actual open. So cute! It was purchased to put in our playroom where the grand babies love to go when they come to visit Nana. We have the Happy Together family dolls that live there and they fit perfectly in both the house and the car. I would definitely recommend. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This fits the Hape wooden dolls as well as Melissa & Doug, Plan, and knock offs. (It's about 1:12 scale). Same great quality we expect from Hape. I shopped other brands for similar products and chose this one bc of the opening doors. My daughter (2.5 year old) really loves opening and closing them. They have an elastic "hinge" so they are easy to use and hard to break. I also really like the paint job. The little details like the licence plate and interior dash are really nice. This car gets used daily in our house so I definitely recommend it.

This is a nice wood car for doll houses but be careful about its size. Its very large compared to most furniture and people used. Reason for the 3 stars if not about quality or design but just about the size. Just too large for normal doll house use. We had to return it and find a smaller one.

I bought the dollhouse and car for my grandchildren for Christmas. Both were a big hit. But I was really surprise how much they play with the car. They love putting the people and animals in the car. The car is very sturdy and the doors even open. If you buy the dollhouse be sure to get the car!

Yet again, another superb Hape toy. Bought this to go with my son’s wooden dolls and I’m absolutely delighted with it. It’s fabulous quality, really well put together and looks beautiful. I love the way the doors open with elastic. I wasn’t sure at first, but now I’ve realised that they’d snap right off if they were normal hinges with my heavy handed 2 year old bashing them about (well done Hape). My son doesn’t seem to realise how big he is and tries to get in the car with his dolls. He’s sat on it, rode in, and stood on it, and it’s fine. Feels lovely moving across the floor, perfectly smooth. Absolutely brilliant toy!

I bought this one and the melissa and doug one and this one far surpasses that one. The car takes a beating, and the doors are held in place by a tight, elastic string, so its not going to break off anytime soon. Every kid that comes to my house takes a few rides around with the toy of their choice. Total hit. Cant say the same for the melissa and doug one because its way too basic compared to this.

This is a great wooden car. I bought it for my 2 year old son, as we also had the Hape All Season Dollhouse and people. The Hape and Melissa and Doug people fit great. If comparing this car and the similar model by Melissa and Doug, I'd recommend this one. The quality is better, and the details is as well. The doors are held on by elastics/bungee cords, so they cannot be broken off. It pushes well and stands up to heavy use.

I would highly recommend this toy.

6 year old daughter loves it.Her suggestions to to the company would be to have a steering wheel that turns and/or a trunk that opens.
She loves her doll house and new car for her little family. She has the Melissa and Doug family and they fit great in the car.
