This was worth the money. Ez to put together by one person, one would be a little challenging but do able( I help my hubby little bit)It the right height off the floor so you don't need a box spring if you're short in height. Not too high but high enough to put storage under, high recommend.
The only problem with this bed frame was the instructions tell you the procedure to construct the frame A,here B,there and so on and so on the only problem is there were no markings or labels on the pieces that are laying on the floor in front of you. But with a few cold beers problem solved in about 20 minutes. Update on this product has not squeaked and enjoying very much.
Haven't had this bed frame for very long. Arrived on time, really excellent bed frame. Very easy to put together, everything was clearly marked in such a way. It appears very sturdy and for sure will support the rated weight. I love that I'll be able to easily vacuum underneath or store things under there. If I need a bed frame next time, will buy this again!
The instructions were a bit inadequate. It would have been helpful to put stickers with a part number or letter to identify it.
My purpose is for my 8 inch memory foam mattress. I like that it is very sturdy and the height is great. Though I am not an advocate of under bed storage, my cats enjoy the space for hiding and sleeping
I don't like that I jam my toes on the middle, and side supports, but hey I have learned to be cautious when approaching the bed. Oh, I solved the foot jamming issue by going to Home Depot and purchasing a tube of foam pipe wrap for $ 2.95. It fit around the legs and middle supports. It does not detract from look of the frame.
I still feel this was a great choice, very solid value.
We bought this frame because it looked sturdier than the previous one we had. My husband and I are heavier and we needed something that would hold up more than a few years. The assembly was fairly easy and I could put most of it together, but you need a second person to help hold up pieces until you can get the screws in place.
Why I have bought this metal bed frame?
I have my personal specific requirements for bed, which should to provide straight and firm flat surface for sleeping, without sagging. Although, probably, other people do not need it. Nether the less, I can share my experience.
First, I have made choice of matrass without springs and low height - it was selected special futon.
Next step, I was looking suitable support frame.
Futon has flexible design; therefore, support frame with full flat pedestal is needed.
Some wooden beds have this feature, but it is big probability that soon such bed will be to creak. This design bed frame (fully metal) has more matching to my requirements.
Only that I did - cut right size desk from 1/4 inch thickness Sanded Pine Plywood (Home Depot), to provide flat surface.
My notes about this design metal bed:
After assembling (empty frame) has feature to “ringing” when touching, and cross rectangular rods can vibrate (to avoid it I fixed them in nests with glue).
Second thing – headboard attachment:
If are you going to order headboard for bed you can meet problem with attachment
- location of holes at bed frame and headboard could unmatching.
So, it was necessary to make special transient plates to provide join of these parts (and some treatment of height).
After improvements, in general I very satisfied with that metal bed in full
- very durable, no swinging and any noise.
I purchased the bedframe and headboard from Noah. My wife and I are overweight and needed the support of the structured and well designed bed frame. I truly believe the 3,000 lbs. this frame can support. The assembly was straight forward and product was packaged extremely well including hardware and Allen wrenches. It is great with 12 inches clearance for storage containers under the bed. The only negative is the hard plastic insert inside each vertical support cause the bed to slide on hardwood floors. I will be looking for a rubber insert or mat to compensate.
Mostly I do like the Noah Megatron bedframe. However, I'm going to have to get some wooden planks to place on top of the bed frame. That's because I have an "n" shaped bar to hold onto next to the bed. And I have to be able to secure a sturdy position between the handle that goes underneath the mattress and over the bed frame. Although the frame itself is very sturdy, it's not designed to support the "n" shaped bar I need to use, because I'm handicapped. It's still a very nice frame for the bed.
