I bought this to use as a diaper bin and it's been a true blessing. Even with it filled to capacity we only smell the nastiness for the brief moment the lid is open. Otherwise you'd never know the horrors that awaited inside lol! It's been running strong on the same batteries since I bought it. Bags are easy to replace and the removable bag ring is fantastic. With the top back on the bag is secure and completely concealed. I'm not sure how much the charcoal filter helps, but my main concern was odor when the can is closed, and for that purpose it works perfectly! As an added bonus the unit looks fantastic!

Update: I've been using this daily for six months or so and it is a workhorse! Still running on the same batteries I purchased when I received it and blocking diaper odor just as effectively!

Update: So, after working perfectly since last November, a couple weeks ago the lid decided to give up on me suddenly and completely! I figured the batteries had finally died, so I swapped in a fresh set and nothing happened. No light, no movement, nothing at all. I almost decided to just write it off, but figured I might as well try customer care. I sent them an email with a screen shot of my original order and description of the problem. To my pleasant surprise I got an email back within 24 hours with an incident number and instructions to call in for service. I called in thinking they were going to want me to send in the lid, but they surprised me by saying their policy had changed and I just had to pay a $9.95 service/shipping and handling fee and a new lid would be sent out. They didn't want the old one back at all. Since it would cost more than that to just ship the original lid in to them I had no issue paying the fee. About a week later I received my brand new lid! I really can'take say enough about the quality customer service I received from itouchless. It was all very simple and because of that I'm leaving my review at five stars!

I've waited almost a year to write this review because I wanted to be sure this product was long-lasting. We have a tiny kitchen in our beach house and a tiny and weirdly shaped space for a trash can. I researched FOREVER (just ask my husband) and finally settled on this one. It fits perfectly in the space and has surpassed my expectations in every way. It's attractive and fits a TON of trash in a very discreet way. I love it.

I have only had these cans over a month and they are great! They hold so much trash. I used to have to throw out the trash daily. These trash cans hold two days worth of trash. I purchased the stickers separately on Amazon.

I bought this trash can 8 years ago. At the time, it was hard to find any stainless steel trash can for an affordable price, so the fact that this was the most reasonable and it had the automated lid seemed like a pretty easy choice. It still looks great and works great.

You can wave over the sensor to open the lid, or there is a button on the front of it to open the lid and keep it open. The lid does a great job of holding any odors in while its closed. Honestly I've never bothered trying to change out the carbon filters in it to use the advertised 'deodorizer,' and looking at the price right now, I wouldn't start either.

Some review mentioned the cord not being included - there is no AC adapter, it's battery powered, and states that in the review. It states that the batteries last for up to a year, but personally, I find they last much longer than that for us and we use it regularly.

Standard kitchen bags are used. There is a plastic ring inside that tucks the top of the bag in, so you don't have bag hanging out over the edges. It does a great job of keeping the bag in place even if you place very heavy items in the garbage.

I waited to review to make sure it works. After having a cheap plastic can with a lid that wouldn't stay shut for weeks I broke down and ordered this. It works. I just hold whatever is getting tossed over it and it opens. It also closes when you are done! The bad reviews about the bags slipping in are user error. Read the directions and install the bags properly with the ring !

Update: It is about 5 months later and I still have not had to replace the batteries! And I open and close this can A LOT! Very happy with this purchase.

I know it’s a garbage can but I LOVE it. I bought 2 - one for trash and one for recycling. I love the squarer shape and can fit both side by side in my kitchen. It has totally helped my family actually recycle having it so conveniently located. (Yes they’re lazy.) The step cans never lasted in our house - always breaking so the automatic lids are great! The plug is a nice option but I don’t have an outlet near the cans so I use batteries.

I contacted the customer service and they replied fast. They sent me a new lid with adaptor and now It's working.

Very poor design. The batteries and deodorizer sit in your trash because they are not in the lid but below the trash level. As you toss any wet trash in it hits these and your lid will always be disgusting and bacteria contaminated. I have never seen a trash can designed with a component that sits in the trash itself.
Expect to clean the lid every time you take out the trash. Pretty gross.
I would not buy again!

Looking for a glitchy, semi functional garbage can that dies after 10 months and the manufacturer asks for a $20 processing fee to fix? Look no further than the iTouchless Deodorizer Automatic Sensor Touchless Trash Can. I purchased this item in December of 2017, come October of 2018 the lid (the only part that separates this from a normal bin) refused to open. I contacted iTouchless and found that they wanted a substantial fee relative to the value of the product to fix something clearly under warranty. Furthermore their ticketing system does not work (links sent in email go nowhere) and by opening a ticket I am bombarded with ads now.

Regret not buying something with a foot control.

Very durable. I’m using it at as dog food storage container. Looks a lot better in the kitchen then the typical dog food storage containers. This thing drops in price to 80 bucks which is when I bought it.

Amazing trashcan that is totally touchless. No more touching dirty lids or having to use your foot open the garbage can. I put my fist towards the lid so the lid does not clip my fingers and it amazingly opens every time and closes on its own silently. It’s really nice that you can push the button to open the lid for a five minute duration if you need it open longer and a button to close the lid. The lid is quite deep which is where you have the deodorizer that just clips in a cartridge. I use large black garbage bags as why would you want to fill up the deodorizer with the scent of scented garbage bags. I also purchased the iTouchless adapter to plug in so I do not use the batteries. This garbage can is the top of the line. It has a large sized opening so it is easy to get your garbage in. Some touch less garbage cans have very small openings but not this one. Also this lid warns you with a blinking red light when it is about to close which is a nice feature. Everyone lines up now to put stuff in the garbage so it’s an encouragement for others to pick up after themselves. Highly recommend this garbage can as it works great, looks great and is simple to use and best of all germ free. Well packaged, arrived quickly and is in perfect condition.

I really do like it, I just wish the sensors were a bit more accurate. Material is strong. I bought it during a sale and it has some dents in it and it looks like it's been used. Did not come in new condition.

UPDATE: Lid stopped working properly after 3 months. They want me to send them $20 USD to get a new lid under their "warranty". Product sucks, didn't work well when it did work. Lid would open super slow sometimes and other times it would swing open. If you're gonna pay over $100 to get a trash can with sensors, they should at least get the basics working right. Save your money, save your time, this garbage can literally is garbage.

Update on a previous positive review, I initially loved it and have gotten quite used to the sensor feature but sadly it stopped working after about four months. Figured it was just the batteries, changed them and nothing. You have to open it and then it would stay propped open but would have to manually open and close. Just tried changing batteries again, after dealing with that for a cple months, and it's actually worse. Completely doesn't work. Wish it at least had a peddle for when it stops working so it could still have a purpose but it's useless. To spend over a hundred on a garbage can that breaks after four months is terrible!
