LOVE this scale! I really didn’t buy it to measure the weight of food ingredients. Instead I bought it for weighing our puppies after birth and the next few weeks they grow after birth! Even with the puppies moving slightly, it will weigh the puppy the same weight each time I take it back to back! I also like that I can zero out say a bowel, because then I can weigh the puppy as it gets older and bigger. It makes weighing puppies much easier. And the best news... this scale is TONS cheaper than regular puppy or infant scales plus it’s much more accurate. So wether you are weighing food, or weighing four legged furry friends, you will love this scale!

I have been eye balling my portion sizes for years. I am serious about losing weight and decided to start weighing my food. I am happy how quick and simple this scale is to use. I do beleve the readings are accurate. I discovered by weighing my food, that I have not been eating enough food. My guessing was under estimated. So now I am eating larger portions and the amount of food I should be eating.

Pros:
Easy to use
Accurate weight
Easy to clean
Does not take a lot of counter space

Cons:
I can not think of any

I am very pleased with this food scale.
My $20 Ikea Ordning scale died after 5 years. I went to put in new batteries for the first time and it was total corrosion. I tried and it didn't turn on again (til I fiddled with the batteries again and now it's working A-OK but oh well).

This scale is flat, sturdy, with a great display and is easy to use. I have no idea what the pull-out plastic tab is for on the left side.

Turns on and off instantly. It remembers the unit you last used. Options are (from top)- g, kg, lb oz, mL, fl oz. I will be using this to weigh packages and potentially in the kitchen if the Ikea one totally kicks the bucket for good.
I bought this scale to use for baking bread mostly. It appears to be the best value of all the scales of this type. I love most everything about it except it's accuracy. On the lb:oz setting it isn't too bad but seems farther off on grams, though none are consistent. It could be the products themselves that were not consistent. I weighed a 16 oz / 454 gram bag of unopened beans which weighed 15.8 oz and 447 grams respectively on the scale. A plastic bottle of popcorn topping was right on the money on both oz and grams. Bags of wt. labeled produce were most different from labeled wt., leading me to believe you can't necessarily believe the packaging labels for wt. I haven't baked using it yet but will update this later with my experience. Since baking is about percentage, this scale should work for me and allow me to not have to fool with a lot of individual measuring containers using weight listed recipes like Ben Starr:s saurdough on You Tube.
As a new Type 1 diabetic I have been having some issues with estimating carbohydrates based on quantities of various foods. This scale is perfect for measuring in ounces or grams to ensure that I know what my carb intake is. The scale is so easy to use and to zero out the bowl, plate, or vessel used to contain the food. It is comforting to know that I have taken the guess work out of a lot of my carb measuring challenges. Plus the scale is so compact that I just put it on the shelf with cookbooks and diet books. Always handy and still safely out of the way.
After much research on trying to find a good scale for several family members who want to weigh their food & reading reviews that were not on Amazon that recomended the "best scale", I finally decided on this one. Some of the off-Amazon reviews that listed their best picks, didn't seem to be rated highly by Amazon customers, so I went off the "trail" and saw this one. Honestly, I went with this one because it looked really nice and I wanted something that would look good in the kitchen. Plus it had decent reviews. I had read many reviews of different scales that were mixed. My net, is that it is a very nice scale and my family members report that it is very accurate. It is light weight and easy to use.
The scale is a decent size and items placed on it, do not block the screen. its clean sealed design allows it to be cleaned with out damage to the unit. My old scale was designed with buttons which ultimately allowed water to intrude which shorted out the scale. For the price I paid, it is well worth it because its functions are simple , easy to read and great looking on my counter. You could by a scale 2 or 3 times as much, and would not get any more then what this scale offers. I am please with it, and would strongly recommend it for your needs.
So far so good - I like the wide surface area for weighing baking ingredients. It looks good and is easy to clean! It is sensitive in that even the touch screen area to change units or zero out will affect the weight. I tested it against the old scale I had for various objects and they are similar. The only issue I have with it is that the calibration absolutely does not work - holding the zero and units button does nothing in the calibration process when I turn it on. Not sure if it is broken. At least I know the weight is accurate so that works for now!
