My about to be 7 year old was asking for a kitchen for her birthday. She is pretty tall for her age 4ft 3in. So I wanted to be really careful and get her a good size so it wouldn’t be to short for her. This one was one of the tallest ones I could find. You can see in the picture she is a head taller, but we are planning on putting something under it to raise it up a bit for her. We are pleasantly surprised with the kitchen! My husband put it together in about 3 to 4 hours over the course of a couple of nights and he said it is very well constructed. It comes with a TON of pieces. My 4 year old boy loves it too. The package arrived in horrible shape though. I was concerned maybe some pieces were missing but they weren't so everything turned out great !
product, once assembled, is a hit. However, the assembly.. I can build basic wood projects and had a heck of a time with this. I would like to take a small moment of silence for all the fathers who may not have made it through the assembly. many good men will fall into shame because the difficulty was too great. These daughters will never see their fathers as the can do it all man, again.
I had extra screws and still spent 3 hours on it. half a back went out and i cursed many times.
I actually bought this in 2014 for my oldest daughter and she was 5 at that time. This kitchen has surprised us with its durability and now it is my 2 year olds favorite! I would say this is a great kitchen to keep 2 to 5 year old children busy and happy. Has lots of functions to pretend play like a sink for washing, stove for cooking, oven for baking, dishwasher for cleaning, microwave for heating and refrigerator and freezer to keep food cool and freezing. Lots of storage space for pretend foods, dishes, utensils and pots and pans when playtime is over. I like that the countertops are high so my two year old can grow and use for several years. The only thing that has happened over the years is the stove door falling off but that was due to the youngest trying to climb.
My daughter’s big present for her second birthday today. It’s a huge hit! I can’t even get her to eat her breakfast, she’s so engrossed. It really seems like the most “deluxe” one with the most features. In my opinion, it’s also the cutest one available, and very much my daughter’s taste. Love how all the doors open up to storage with shelving inside, so you can hide the mess! Little one’s favorite feature is the turnable oven knobs (they make a very satisfying clicky noise).
Assembly was time consuming (I insisted on getting a big one, after all), but the instructions were relatively easy to follow and there was very little confusion. The hardware kit came with extra parts and the wrenches needed to assemble. The finished product is beautiful, and very sturdy and interactive!
I bought this for my grandchildren. I know some have found it hard to assemble, but if you've ever done furniture like this it will be easy. Take your time, be very patient, it will take about 2 hours. The directions are very clear and the pictures very helpful. Just don't try to rush, have a beer and listen to music! It was really very enjoyable to be a daddy again! The kitchen set itself is very sturdy and well made, and it is very cheerful. If you teach the kids not to abuse it then it should last for years. I built one for my older daughter thirty years ago that was of similar quality, and that lasted almost all those years through many kids and grandkids. I completely recommend this product and couldn't be happier with it.
So easy and simple to put together. You can it yourself just lay it on the floor as you work your way through the instructions. Also this is by far the BEST play kitchen my child has ever had. We got a kidkraft dollhouse and I fell in love with the quality of their products I decided to purchase from them again. My daughter is tall for her age almost 4 feet tall. This kitchen is the perfect size for her. No bending over and breaking her back to play like the plastic ones we have had. (This is her third kitchen and last!) She loves everything about it. From the amount of storage space to it looking like a real kitchen. She's been making play dough meals since I finished building it. :) The only thing I wish I did different is buy this sooner. This will be apart of her life for years to come. I plan on saving it for her children as well. Beautiful Kidkraft, truley I'm impressed. :) Also the price is under $150 you can't go wrong. Buy NOW! You won't be disappointed.
I was really excited to get this and put it together for my twin daughters who are three. I was very disappointed. The paint was chipped on several pieces and the frame had a cracked in it. Within one day the oven door has broken off because the metal pin holding it in snapped off. Save your money. This isn't worth the price. Not only am I disappointed, but so are they.
Definitely good kitchen for the price! My daughter loves it and so do I. The kitchen is very sturdy, and actual wood, I just hope we don't move anytime soon, it looks a little delicate for when moving it to different places.
There is one thing that I don't like about this, the packaging was good, however the instructions are terrible, I recommend going to YouTube and getting help there, type kidkraft kitchen instructions. His instructions and putting it together are much more easier. The kitchen looked fairly new, I could tell it was used before because of the phone looked dirty and scratched on top. But overall is beautiful, I just gave my daughter 2 baskets so it will be more organized.
