I bought this bed for my mom, and assembled most of it myself. It's a bit tricky, as you must leave slack in each of the attachments or the bed will become skewed. Then you need to ensure the frame is as flat as possible and tighten, using non-sequential attachments (not the one beside the one you just tightened - go to the one furthest away to tighten next). The center piece of the frame, which has steel legs, is noticeably higher than the rest of the frame, for no reason I could tell. We ended up putting slider feet on the outer legs, which elevated them enough to almost match the center piece. Bed did not wobble once we had the mattress on it. Looks great, and Mom's very happy.

First off, the package was delivered by UPS totally beat up and torn completely open . Nevertheless, I attempted to give it a whirl anyway. Unfortunately, so many parts were damaged and defective, that I opted for a refund instead.

On the plus side, the bed is made from wood vs. particle board or something less stable. However, there were multiple gashes and chips in a few of the boards, up to 6" long, The finish on every board was scraped off in numerous places. One board even had some kind of black paint or stain all over it, globs of it.

The issues seem to be a combination of poor quality control on the manufacturer's part, as well as awful handling by UPS.

The quality of the bed is very good and it shows in the weight of the product and also how it’s packaged. There was no damage when it arrived and it arrived ahead of schedule.
The instructions are very clear and straightforward so it took me less than two hours to assemble the bed myself.
Overall I am very happy with the purchase.

Overall
Two thumbs up. Good price for something that is solid wood, relatively easy to assemble, king size, and has a head board.

Likes:
Went together easy enough. Pretty intuitive and well placed mounting hardware. Could be done alone. Seems like this would survive being taken back apart for a move (unlike some of my college era furniture). Has no squeaks or creaks moving around on it once all hardware is tightened down. Finish looks great. The few points of minor cosmetic marks that came from shipping (things always get roughed up in shipping where I am) or my own doing (from not watching the door when moving the unwrapped pieces) were easily touched up with a finish pen as since this is solid wood the scratches were extremely shallow and easy to conceal. Packaging was more than adequate with the double cardboard a nice touch for survivability of shipping with some “less than gentle” carriers. Also wrapping the styrofoam to keep the mess down is a plus .

Dislikes:
I do wish there were maybe 50% more supporting slats for the base as my mattress sags a bit through the spaces more than I care for. I added some spare birch boards had and cut and sanded to match the existing.

I've bought beds on Amazon before, and they were okay. Metal, lightly easy to put together, not super sturdy but does the trick. So my expectations were pretty down there, as long as it lifted the bed off the floor I would have been happy.

BUT...

This bed is GORGEOUS! Was deeply surprised by the wood quality and color, it is absolutely gorgeous!

The assembly was beyond simple, very well thought out packaging for the hardware (they even provided extras! and tools!), and the instructions were simple, clear and concise.

Once put together, it was so sturdy! We moved the bed around with ease, no warping or cracking or swaying or worry.

There is enough room for under the bed storage, but not so high up that it is an effort to get up.

Last but not least, they included the cutest BEST smelling candle! It was the most lovely surprise while unwrapping the bed pieces! They really nailed it on all the small details.

I am sincerely in love with this bed. I am going to recommend this bed to literally everyone I come into contact with!!!

We love this bed!! It was fairly easy to put together but did take us 2 hours. We are not too good at building things so probably will take others much less time :) This is very sturdy and a quality piece. It looks very nice. There's not a lot of room under it, but could fit a small slim storage container but not a suitcase underneath. I wasn't looking for this so it does not bother me but some people like this. We love it!

This was easy to assemble! And it's sturdy. It came in perfect condition and was wrapped well! I would give it 5 stars but the only issue was the spacing of the slats. When we got our mattress the guys who delivered it said they were a little too far apart and could affect the life of our mattress, so we'd either need extra slats or use pegboard underneath so it could still breathe. We went with pegboard and it was an extra $40, but well worth it! I would still purchase this again, even needing the extra slats/pegboard. :)

I did a lot of reviewing before purchasing a bed frame because I was nervous buying one from Amazon. This bed frame is real wood I believe so it was very heavy. But also very sturdy. Very easy for my husband to assemble. Came with tools and my husband even kept them because he found them handy. I have not seen any chips, or defective parts. Holds up well for... adult activities lol.
