DON'T BUY THIS CART! Assembly was ok, and it seems to be pretty sturdy. There was a small scratch that could have been covered with a furniture marker but I haven't bothered. I've been trying since April 12th to eliminate the odor of what I assume is the finish. I'm talking headaches and leaving windows open night and day for the first couple of weeks.
I stored my Ninja slow cooker inside it for 2 days and the smell permeated the Ninja insert. I soaked and washed it and it seems to be ok but I won't store anything else inside the cart that I will be cooking food in or on. Which is unfortunate because I have used the stainless steel top for heat producing small kitchen appliances and it works perfectly.
I've used baking soda and coffee grounds. I've washed it inside and out. Nothing touches that odor. By the time I realized that the smell was never coming out, I missed my window to return it. Not to mention, it's assembled and all boxes discarded.
DO NOT BUY THIS CART!
Let me just say, I have ordered MANY pieces of furniture from Amazon over the years and this is by far, the BEST piece! It's soooo sturdy and incredibly easy to put together. Quality is just amazing. Everything lines up perfectly. The directions are very easy to read. All those really intricate pieces that comes with other furniture, are already put together for you. It did take under an hour a half to put together but it was so worth it! The stainless steel top has these very fine lines engraved into it (like a texture for the top so things don't slide around.) When you have to screw something into the wood, the wood doesn't split like other furniture pieces. It also has a magnets for secure close on the two doors. You won't be disappointed!
We needed this cart as an option after downsizing the kitchen significantly on our move. Thank you to those who provided feedback on packaging and installation because we would not have taken this on without the information provided. I took the time to unpack the box, ( I was quite amazed at the quality of the packaging) and make sure all parts were available and my wife and I worked together to assemble from there. It took about 90 minutes but the end result was worth it. There are plenty of storage options inside the unit plenty of space on top as well.
Had a huge kitchen. Moved. Now have small kitchen. What's a girl to do? Order something else to store all her crap, of course! I actually use it for spices and oils, small appliances, and utensils.
It arrived with no damage thankfully. Super easy to assembly. Then again, it should be. If I can put engines, I should be able to assemble a simple kitchen island. Anyhoo. Spent the extra few bucks for the stainless top and I'm glad I did. It makes me feel fancy.
I've had it a few months now and it's holding up surprisingly well. I mean, c'mon. It was a couple hundred bucks. It's not going to have the same quality as a custom craftsman piece. But despite how often I use it, it's good.
I attached some Command hooks on the sides to hang my cutting boards on for some extra storage. Decent little island and easy to move to clean underneath it. The casters are surprisingly smooth.
I like it. Good for smaller kitchens.
The fit and finish wasn't up to my expectations. If the quality assurance was was better could have been five stars. As you can see in the photo the drawers required a cabinetmakers skill.
After about 6 months of use, this cart is more and more disappointing. The piece came with noticeable flaws that we chose to live with. It was easy enough to assemble. It took two people about an hour and a half. But as it gets used, the drawers no longer slide nicely, the shelves aren’t stable and will fall if anything is too heavy (ie. cans, jars, etc.), and the spice shelf and towel bar are becoming more and more rickety. I doubt this piece will last me another six months. I didn’t expect high quality because of the price but I do expect it to last longer than a year and to hold up to normal use.
Called Amazon to get an exact dimension of this kitchen cart. She directed me to the question and answer section to review those comments . I was told that the top was 42inches wide, without side attachments, which would have fit perfectly in the spot we had chosen. I received the cart and spent over 2 hours putting it together only to find out the top is 44 1/2 inches wide and doesn’t fit my space at all! To late to send it back....it’s already built. So we are stuck with the cart! Good product and it would have been perfect for a coffee bar but doesn’t fit. If I had known it was that wide I wouldn’t have purchased this product. Not sure what we will do with this!!
Looks exactly like the product page. Good color, a bit firmer than I thought it would be which is good. One of the pieces came with a small hair line crack but didn't compromise the structural integrity. The top came damaged with a dent on the edge. Took about 90 minutes to assemble. Wife loves it, and that is a plus.
