Very nice quality bed. It's fully upholstered (even the drawers, inside and out.) There's two large drawers and wood platform slats. The only thing I don't like about this bed is how the drawers fit. They roll on the floor, not on a track, so it's annoying to line back up sometimes. But, they can roll completely out which I think could be useful when putting away clothes.
It came wonderfully packaged. All the pieces were packed in groups by the order it's built. Each upholstered piece was in individual cloth bags, and plastic bags for the metal pieces. The screws were even packaged by size.
It was super easy to put together. the directions were clear and Everything was clearly labeled and easy to locate.
The only tools needed to build this were a hex tool (included) and a Philips screw driver.
Seriously, buy this bed.
I've been sleeping on this bed for a week, it's quiet, sturdy, and the upholstery feels soft and looks good. For the most part it was easy to put together (I did it alone just fine). I would recommend it.
Assembly:
- Instructions were clear and easy to follow, all parts were clearly labeled.
- One square pipe that needed to be inserted in another square pipe was bowed out on one edge, making it impossible to insert. A solid whack with a hammer corrected this.
- One screw hole on the bottom of one of the drawers didn't align correctly, so I drilled a new hole and moved the screw over a bit (there are enough screws there already that it didn't even seem critical).
- One slat was a bit splintered, but not enough that it really mattered.
Notes:
- Does not have an attachment point for a headboard. I think one could be screwed on if you wanted to drill into it.
- The full size is slightly bigger than my mattress. I think this may be so when the bed is made, the blankets tuck under and create a smooth silhouette.
- Drawers are on wheels that roll on the floor, not tracks. They work great on my laminate, I don't know how they would handle on rug.
- There is a keyhole slot for a catch that secures the drawers in place. It's a little awkward to handle, but you can just remove that part if it's too annoying.
I'll update if my opinion changes, but this is a nice bed for the price and I'm perfectly happy with it.
UPDATE:
I've been sleeping on this bed for about 6 months and I still like it a lot. I moved to a new home with carpet and the drawers roll on it just fine. I also discovered that it's possible to take the bed apart into two large pieces for moving. Neat!
Pointers!
-easy to assemble
-all parts will be used, no extra so dont messed up
-matress covers the whole frame, unlike as advertised in the photos
-wood seems flimsy, ill update this as time goes by. If there will be no update, everything is good
-best for the price!
I wish I had bought something like this for my special needs teenager a long time ago. We have been through four beds in a year and a half. Box springs end up shredded and broken. Mattresses end up torn. This sucker has lasted a year now and still kicking. We got him one of those memory foam mattresses too. Still intact. Haha son try to rip that up!!!
Anyway, this platform has withstood tantrums, rages, playtime, sleep time, and the enormous effort my kid goes to to see how something works by taking it apart and putting it back together (not....he doesn’t actually put it back together)
I ordered the queen, as I have a queen mattress, the set up is beyond easy, and yes you can do it alone, I got all instructions and tools needed to assemble the bed with no tools of my own. But when I was done I felt like it was kind of smaller than it was supposed to be, and when I laid my mattress on it it's the same size as the frame. Meaning the mattress even covered the platform part which I thought was supposed to stick out? Anyways I love the price love the product, super sturdy no noise, easy to put together and the shipping was super fast! Only thing is the size I think it's a full even saying queen. I will call on Monday to find out. But definitely worth the buy!
My bed arrived earlier this week. This bed has a gorgeous look and feel to it and took a little over an hour to put together. But while unboxing I noticed mine arrived with wooden slats that were warped and thin and brittle enough that the plastic endings used to secure them into frame sliced through a few of them causing them to strip and break and when I tried removing the plastic endings from the frame to fix the slats the plastic endings broke leaving me unable to resecure the slats. I also found that a few of the panels needed to assemble the drawers were not in my box I received.
Very clear instructions, its easy to follow but there are a lot of parts! I have mine against a wall so a screwed the two drawers together to make a very long pullout drawer.
I have just purchased this bed frame a week ago. So far the bed is awesome and the slats that hold the mattress are very sturdy. The only bad thing about the bed is when putting it together you use an allen wrench for about 95% of it which when putting some of the screws in it’s very bad to get them tightened.
Each piece was individually wrapped so there was zero damage. It came with everything needed for assembly and was easy to put together. My 13 year old did it with minimal guidance. He loves it!! It is solid wood and very sturdy. Worth every penny. Quality- 5/5
It took some finesse to get the last corner together. But, I did it all by myself. Otherwise, it's perfect!
Love it, I put LED light strips underneath and it is the best purchase ever.
This was a gift and must be very easy to set up as the recipient had no difficulty at all.
