Buffy Cloud Comforter - Hypoallergenic Eucalyptus Fabric - Full/Queen

Buffy Cloud Comforter - Hypoallergenic Eucalyptus Fabric - Full/Queen

Read reviews that mention:

I've had the Buffy comforter for a little over a month now (they shipped a damaged product and refused my return - but that's another story) and I have to say it's one of the worst disappointments.

Buffy hypes up the 'cool-ness' and 'breathability' of their comforter thanks to the 'eucalyptus' fabric - this will realistically never matter to most people who are spending this much on a comforter, because they will be putting a duvet cover on it. If you are planning to use a duvet cover, you can ignore this 'special fabric' altogether, as it would literally make zero difference.

This thing sleeps HOT. The reason it sleeps so hot is that it is filled with polyester (plastic). Buffy spins this by only mentioning the eucalyptus exterior and the 'recycled plastic bottles' (pushing that sustainability angle) - it's plastic. It's filled with the same plastic material you would find in the cheapest comforter here on Amazon, and the only difference is they allegedly obtain this from a recycled source, which I'd imagine many other manufacturers do as well. This is not innovative. This is cheap. You can pay less than $50 for a high-quality comforter that will perform better than this.

Possibly the worst part of all - the comforter is not baffled, so the fill moves ALL over the place. You would expect this feature in such a ridiculously expensive comforter. What you will see happen is the fill gets clumped up and moved out of place within a few nights and the comforter collapses. There are places in the comforter that have absolutely no fill whatsoever because it is bunched up in the corners and edges.

What you get at the end of the day is a misleadingly marketed, polyester filled, bunched up overpriced comforter.

There is a reason they spend so much on marketing (seriously - try to look for a comforter or use social media without seeing a million Buffy advertisements). They actively remove negative reviews on their products.

Buyer beware.

We got our Buffy and packaged it for return the same day. It is very thin. It is heavily creased and wrinkled. Polyester was already coming through the outer layer. Very poorly made. Not worth the money.
Extremely warm for San Francisco. I use it without a duvet cover and even with the windows open - I am sweaty during fall nights.
Looking for a down alternative that is breathable... this is not it.
Fluffy as a cloud? Try flat as a pancake. I'm so disappointed. I just opened this and I'm so let down. Not at all what I expected for the price.
Buffy makes you feel good when you first time received the item and open it. Since that put some kind of natural scent on the fabric, it initially makes you feel amazing. Also the cute images on the box? I loved them too. I guess Buffy knows importance of the "First impression" and it is part of their marketing strategy.

However, I literally disapointed right after I took it out of the box, but I couldn't speak out since it was my husband's purchase for me through it's official website. I couldn't believe people gave 5 stars and that much of money for a comforter made that cheap.

1. It was made in China, I thought it was US. Maybe it was my imagination?

2. The surface was all wrinkly, it was never flat. I can tell it will be like that end of its life since I have been having it for over 6 month.

3. Not enough and not evenly distributed polyester filling. It is really really thin. I thought it will get fluffy eventually, since it was expensive enough for me to want that. Gave it enough time since I opened the box first time, but never got that fluffyness.

4. Have you ever washed it? Or am I not supposed to do it?
I will have some photos of our comforter with this review. We got hundreds of fluffs on the cover with the very first time wash. Precisely speaking each polyester string came out of the cover formed a big ball and caught some dusts on it. When you try to remove it, it will "drag out" the whole filling out of it. When I tried to cut it and pull the polyester from the inside, it will leave a big whole on the cover. It is kind of fun to watch it though.
I have two of these now - one for each bedroom. I'm a light sleeper, so I've tried everything to get good sleep - Casper, Brooklinen, Parachute, and a bunch of other stuff. Every brand seems to sell the same crappy product EXCEPT BUFFY!

Buffy keeps me cool when it's hot in my room, and warm when it's too cold. This is simply the best comforter I've ever owned. Hands down.
This comforter is the most comfortable, soft and light comforter I have ever experienced. My husband and I sleep like babies ever since we got it. It's made with natural eucalyptus which makes it more resistant to bacteria, mildew and mites. We dont even put a cover on it bc its so soft and its machine washable which is a huge plus bc we can clean and it without having to go to the dry cleaner.
I'm usually a person who gets hot at night and I love how this comforter keeps warm but not too hot.
Its very light weight but still just the perfect coverage for a cool or warm night.
Definitely worth the price!
Lovely but the king size is too small. We have a normal king bed and me and my husband are constantly sleeping half covered. Very annoying. I returned it. Too bad, otherwise it’s wonderful and not exactly cheap.
