I wanted clear carpet protectors to blend in with my carpeting but these have a white adhesive pad on each of the small sections that make up one 4 x 4 protector. They look white on your carpet unless you remove the sticky pads then the weight of each furniture leg bends or snaps apart the smaller sections. I cannot understand if you ordered a 4 x 4 protector clear, why would these come apart in four 2 x 2 pieces, why would you need to stick them to the leg of a piece of furniture, and why would they only come in a pack of two when each piece of furniture generally has four legs? Here's another example of the old saying, "You get what you pay for."

Caution....

Although they are labeled as “soft touch”, these carpet protectors consist of 1” hard plastic spikes. They look as though they can do more damage to the carpet than the furniture would.

The product is also listed as “customizable” which is impossible. There are 2 carpet protectors that are 4”x4” and break apart into (4) 2” squares. That’s all the custom sizing you get.

Rather than return them, I have decided to keep them for when I venture in the Sierras come winter. I can attach these 1” very hard spikes to the bottom of my boots when walking on ice-covered areas. Or better yet, when I climb the icy and treacherous Mount Everest next year.

These are fine - but don't work under table legs that are not hidden because, unlike the image, there is a white adhesive. If the image had shown a white adhesive that would have been different - but I expected these to be clear. As it is they look pretty hideous and we will have to order something different.

You have to glue these on because when trying to apply them to other corners w/o gluing, furniture would slide off any corner not glued on. This would often crack the unglued ones. That means you have to decide on the final destination for the furniture because you aren't likely to be able to move it again once these have bitten into the carpet. You'd no doubt have to replace them unless you could completely lift the furniture off the floor to move it. They also crack if the legs are too small or if you don't get furniture legs lined up right and then you tilt the furniture while applying more. They're better than nothing for our ultra plush carpet, and are the only ones available on Amazon, but I'd have liked them to be less brittle.

These really do a great job at saving your rug from the indented look. We have a very high pile carpet that really shows indentation marks with heavy furniture. The only down side for me is that most of my furniture has rounded feet rather than square. These are sort of one and done if you use the pre applied adhesive to stick it to the feet of your furniture. The adhesive sticks very well onto the foot of the furniture so far though.

Also consider that your furniture will be a little higher when you use these.

Not made for any table that is not supported by a wall or out of the way. Just no impressed, period. I used these on my coffee table which is a very heavy piece of furniture. There was no keeping it on them! I sat and watched it literally slid off. I also sliced my finger open on the corner when adjusting them, so be careful of that. You sure wouldn’t want a toe to hit them! Ugh!
I wanted these to work so bad.

I purchased these to go under my heavy bunk bed to prevent carpet marks. They are high quality and seem very durable. After about two weeks, they are holding up strong and I can tell they are distributing the weight well.

*update with pictures* after about another month or so they appear to be holding up great and our bunk bed is HEAVY! I even bought a second pack for more of our furniture.

Note that if the furniture leg is less than 2”
square, the surrounding white adhesive will be exposed — not clear as shown in the product photo. Would have preferred to have the adhesive tape separately, so it could be cut to fit the exact size of the leg.

These are unlike other spiked carpet savers - these are so much better in that the height of the spikes means the furniture sits above the carpet and underlay and does not impact and compress - fantastic!

The image shows that the carpet protectors are clear but the ones I received the adhesive part is white making them highly visible under my furniture. Beware if that is something that concerns you. Unfortunately for me, I didn't check my order until after my brand new furniture was delivered and it was too late for me to return them.
