The description says it includes a pipe to anchor it. There's neither a pipe nor a place to put one. What I did was tightly roll up the end that tucks down between the arm and the cushion of my recliner (with the rough, non-skid side out, not the velvety side) and wedged it down between. In my case the opening isn't very deep, maybe 5-6" but the thickish non-skid roll stays put. The holder doesn't slip even when loaded with remotes, a phone, Kindle, tablet, snacks or even a water bottle, or when the chair is fully reclined.

My heavenly Hudson Stratolounger rocks, fully reclines for sleeping, and swivels (got it at Big Lots years ago, the best $250 I ever spent), so with this nifty holder I needn't be tethered to a table, can spin around 360 degrees and then lie on either side to sleep or watch TV- maximum options and comfort, fantastic. LOVE this organizer, velvety soft, really nice-looking and holds everything I need. I'm going to get a second one for the other arm. Perfect!

I am using this over the back of a reclining sofa in the middle seat. It can easily be reached from both sides and is placed in the middle of the back of the sofa. Attach a little velcro to the back of the sofa and the flap attaches to the sofa which stops it from sliding down. It can then be removed when you need the seat and the velcro is behind the sofa, out of sight. Works fantastic!!!

My husband has this terrible habit of laying his phone, glasses, etc on the floor where it could be stepped on.
I gave it four stars because I wish it had 2 small and 1 medium pocket rather than the 4 small ones.
Also IMPORTANT! if you are putting it on a recliner, it may interfere with the foot stool lever or button.
That said I got one for myself as well, and I am just careful when raising and lowering the foot stool.

I Love it!! it stays in place for quite a long time in my reclining love seat. After a while I do have to adjust it again.
It is the best one I have purchased thus far. I have bought my husband a full reclining chair cover with the side pockets and I am constantly having to fix it when he gets up. I am going to oder him one of these .

The pockets in front are really small they do not even hold a remote control or a glass case. The big pocket is fine. At first it would keep falling off after a day but I was able to learn on how to stop it from doing it.

It has long side to stuff between seat and arm so it doesnt keep slipping out. I have 2 heating pad remotes and it holds them perfectly..and still have extra pouches for other stuff. Great.

I didn't realize that it didn't have the "leather" over the entire side, but it's this super soft fabric which is nice. So far I've enjoyed it, not too big or intrusive, and the price was right. Good product.

This item is perfect!!! My husband loses the remote and his phone pretty much every time we are watching TV so hopefully this will help! It is also extremely soft, so my cat has already claimed the armrest it hangs on! Would definitely recommend!
