Great patio furniture covers! Came boxed well. Good fit and look to be good quality. Had them for a month now so I can't elaborate on long term durability but I'm really happy with them. I couldn't tell at the time but all four corners have the locking clips and there's a tension drawstring at the bottom. Very happy with these. I bought one for a loveseat and 4 for two different style chairs.
Update: it’s been almost 2 years now and they’ve help up well. A little bit faded but no holes or tears. Would definitely recommend them.
2nd update: It’s now just over 3 years. Two have tears in the corner of the arms. Just one arm per cover but they are ripped. Also worth noting is the exterior has become chalky. While the inside still looks pretty good, aside the tear, I get white powder on my hands when I take the covers off. Sort of disintegrating. I’ll have to replace them soon. Deducting 2 stars for death at the three year mark.
I normally take my cushions off every winter and store in a downstairs room. Got tired of not having my outdoor furniture available during the winter so decided to try these out. It fit my 2 seat glider perfect. The 4 corner buckles are great at holding the cover in place and ensuring the wind does not blow it off or expose the cushions. Vent panel on each side has a canvas overhang to still allow air movement yet prevents rain from blowing in. This is my first year so I can't speak to longevity but they are heavy canvas and seem well made and look like they will last. Would definitely buy again.
These covers are even better than I expected! I was replacing some that were several years old, and had become brittle and cracked from exposure to sun and rain. I liked what I had, but they were no longer available, or I couldn't find them anyway...Good thing, because these are way better! Right after I got them, it rained here for a week. When the sun finally came out, I took them off and the couches and cushions were completely dry. They don't have the same type of backing as the old ones, so I do not think these will wear out as fast, or in the same cracked and split way. Time will tell that, but meanwhile these work great and look really nice on the couches. There are flaps for venting but rain doesn't get in, and they can be pulled tight around the base to keep the wind from getting up inside, too. They are also keeping all of the spring pollen from collecting on the cushions! The price was great too, so all around they are the perfect solution
****An update... 15 months later, still very very happy with these covers. I leave them on in all kinds of weather. They keep the rain and pollen off of the cushions, and still look great. They fold up easily to store when I want to use the sofas, but they look so nice on I don't mind looking at them when they are in use. I store them in a Suncast storage seat ( search: Suncast SSW1200 Mocha Resin Wicker 22-Gallon Storage Seat) and they fit with still room for more. They even cost a little less now, I noticed! At either price they are well worth it - much less than replacing cushions! (Not sure what the "shoddy quality" reviewer means at all!!)
Having purchased several varieties of outdoor furniture covers I will say that right out of the box, the AmazonBasics cover is a thicker & heavier duty material than I expected for the price in attractive two tone-earth tones.
It comfortably fits over our particular love seat which I had measured at 52x32x36 (LxWxH).
The buckles for securing the cover to each leg are a nice bonus as is the cinch-type retention string.
So far has repelled water/melting snow fine as well and it’s a more canvas-like than tarp-plastic i.e. it isn’t brittle in 10-degree weather, if you were wondering about the latter..
To me it seems like a good quality product and the price is reasonable. I’ll be buying additional covers from this product line for other pieces of outdoor furniture.
I may throw a coat of scotch guard on the horizontal surfaces at some point just to further preserve the newness of the cover. It’s not essential but it doesn’t hurt either.
"good quality fast delivery" That was then, this is now->ripped hole, less than one year in. Sorry AmazonBasics, the reason I bought this is so it would protect the love seat, and not rip within one year.
I have had these covers for 10 months and they have already become brittle and ripped. I would have expected to get at least a year or 2 out of them.
I struggled as to which cover to buy and I settled for this one mainly because of the price. I received a product that exceeded my expectations. The covers are sturdy, well made, have an air vent on one end, and have handles...I’m not sure why. It has rained everyday in Houston for over three weeks I took the covers off today and my beautiful furniture is still beautiful. I also bought the matching chair covers. Yet the best part is how easily the go on and come off. Go ahead buy them!
I bought 3 of these to cover pieces of a deep seating modular set. Each individual modular chair is pretty big, so one of these 3 deep seater covers actually covers 2 of the modular seats with a few inches on the sides to spare. The big modular set we got came with its own big rectangle cover, but we have to move the seats together to form a rectangle and I could never get it tight enough on the corners so that water pools wouldn't form on the top. Water is actually heavy, so when you have a 10'x8' rectangle cover, unless every space underneath that cover has something solid at same height under it, water will pool on top over where it is hollow underneath and cover will sink there. This would cause a mini pool to form in a few areas on our old cover and result in water getting in since it would pull the cover down in the middle therefore exposing some sides of the furniture set. Using these covers instead allows me to keep the modular set in our L formation and just cover each set of 2 deep seats. If going to rain unexpectedly, also much faster for me to toss on the covers for a day since I don't have to move all the pieces anymore to fit under the old big rectangle one. Wish they made one just a bit bigger that would fit 3 modular seats.
Bought this cover to fit over an outdoor rattan sofa bought from George Asda. It is shaped so not a lot of excess fabric flapping about. It’s heavy material and the creases soon disappeared, it doesn’t look industrial at all. Only downside, and cannot be helped, is that some days we go outside and it’s really dirty, buts all over it , can only think it’s because we have neighbours with solid fuel fires . However I just used the watering can and swilled it off, A bit bulky to wrap up and store but can see it lasting a long time.
Love this cover, its made of a very high quality waterproof fabric. Cloth outside and a fully waterproof inside. There are straps with clips at each corner to ensure a good fit and keep it in place in the strongest wind and rain. I use it on Ikea garden furniture and the cover fits both with or without the cushions. I take care when removing the cover as sometimes there’s a bit of condensation on the inside, so I drape it over the washing line to dry before folding up whilst not in use. Although it has been on more than off due to bad weather!
Arrived quickly and was well packaged. The material is better quality than expected which is a pleasant surprise as previous covers have split easily. I am happy with the covers and they look great.
Good quality, strong and a good fit, have already had one of these for a patio dining set and was very pleased with it. Much better quality than a lot of the green or black ones. Recommended
I thought this cover may have been too big, but it's just perfect for our 2 seater sofa. We have used it for the past few weeks and it has kept our furniture dry, through all the rain. I love the fact it has clips at each corner to secure it, especially as we seem to have a lot of wind here, and they have stayed put. Well worth the money. Thick material, and the rain rolls off it.
