Went from 5 star to 1 star. After owning it for almost two years it has developed two leaks in two different areas. One is on the hose itself, the other is a non-replaceable hose. I'm furious that I trusted Moen to keep my kitchen island from developing water damage. I wish there was a lemon law that would force them to buy it back because why would I want them to replace parts that will fail again?!!

We've had our faucet for only a few months and it has started turning itself on randomly. sometimes it runs for only a few seconds, other times it's a couple of minutes. once it starts there's no way to turn it off. we tried pulling the batteries, but it still runs. once it turns off we can pull the batteries but then it won't work even manually. At first we thought it might be interference from radio waves in motion sensor lights but now it even does it during the day. Super frustrating! Has anyone else ever experienced this?
I initially was waffling a lot between buying a more expensive motion sensing unit, or a standard one. I also did a lot of research online as well as talking to our plumber, who works in big buildings all around NYC. While he didn't particularly have an opinion on motion vs non-motion, he did have Moen on his short list of 3 brands that are worth buying.

I read a guide that for deep sinks like ours, we shouldn't use a high-arc faucet because of splashing. Well, phht, I ignored that, and decided to spend the extra money for a motion sense unit. The decision was between this one and another major maker that you likely have seen here. I read complaints about the other one, and a family friend had nothing but complaints about theirs. I also liked that this had features the others didn't such as the front/top sensors that dont require actually touching the unit, which would defeat the whole purpose for me when I have dirty hands/arms.

Fast forward now that I've owned this for months and man, we're SO happy with this purchase!

The high arc is great because now we can easily put pots underneath to fill, and don't have a problem with splashing as the guide warned in our deep sink. The motion sensing is flawless in dark or light conditions, no more dealing with dirty hands touching the faucet, and then having to clean the faucet (kind of ironic to clean what cleans you, but who wants raw chicken on it?). And this is great for kids who forget to turn off the water or turn it to hot accidentally....leave it on the temp you want and dont mess with it.

TIP: purchase the plug-in adapter. The battery pack is not strong enough for the sensor to work well. I thought the faucet had a problem, but read elsewhere that the batteries arent strong enough. We bought the adapter and it works like a charm.

UPDATE 5.11.16:
Things were fine for the first several months. Then the water flow would severely reduce. Note that we live in a 100 unit building in Brooklyn built in 1924. Troubleshooting showed it was because the small screened filters in the hot and water lines were clogged with dark debris (see picture). Now it seems to happen every few days to a week, meaning having to go under the sink, strain my back, disassemble each line and scrub the filters. I've reached out to Moen to see if there's a workaround. If I remove the filters, I assume this will just send the crud 'upstream', clogging the faucet head, or getting in the water we consume. The issue isnt Moen's fault, probably old plumbing lines, but I wish I would have known of a more "old line friendly" faucet before getting one with these microfilters.
After less than 3 years my Moen 7594SRS fixture's flex hose split. Needless to say it caused quite a mess. I paid $300.00 for this faucet and I am shocked to have such a problem after only 3 years. Ironically my next door neighbor bought a similar Moen product and he had the same problem. I really expected more from a Moen product! Very disappointed!!!! Never again.
I purchased this just over 3 years ago and it just started to leak from the handle when in the up (hot) position. Otherwise, it has been perfect. I'm not sure how long these types of faucets are supposed to last so I only deducted one star. I've installed this twice now (replaced the countertop) and installation was a breeze, albeit time consuming since I don't install faucets very often.

UPDATE (04.16.16):
I used an allen wrench to remove the handle. You'll need a mirror to get an idea of the angle to place the allen wrench at. Use the long end. The short end doesn't make it. It's tricky, the angle of the allen wrench is not what you would think it is intuitively. Once the handle was off, I removed the cap holding the cartridge. I inspected the cartridge but it looked in really good shape with no wear to be seen. I applied silicone grease to the three o-rings and the entire outside rim. I reinstalled the cartridge, and put the cap back on. I tightened it with an adjustable wrench, but not too tight. Put the handle back on and no more leak. I'll report back if it leaks again, trust me.

UPDATE (10.30.19):
This has leaked every 6 months for a number of years now. Sorry for not updating sooner. Silicone grease always fixes the issue ... for 6 months. But you have to take the cartridge out. I have a "kit" that I put together myself at this point. The "fix" now takes me 20 minutes from the 3 hours it took me the first time. Annoying, but not enough to spend on another faucet.
After two years of use, I have had to tighten the cartridge nut three times. You will know when it's loose because it will leak from under the handle. Inserting the allen wrench into the handle to remove it is much harder than it should be. The gasket provided for the hole in the sink appears to be made from polyethylene, which is too slippery. Even when tightening the faucet to the sink as tight as I dare (porcelain sink) the faucet will still move around. If the gasket was silicone or epdm, it would have more grip and be able to keep the faucet from moving. The finish is holding up reasonably well.
I just love it ... I love that the lower sensor is only on while it senses motion where the upper one stays on until you either turn it off by waving again or the 2 minute safety feature kicks in ... the lower sensor takes a bit of getting used to but once figured out I was totally thrilled with this faucet ... the lower sensor is great for rinsing dishes as you wash them
Internet research found this product the best among a few web sites. excellent instructions and easy install. product works very well and finish is quality. battery power pack in pic 3 has long cord to reach. installed the black box to faucet stem as in pic 2 and 3. long data cable as well. real nice package. Moen has a good name. Amazon had best competitive pricing.
This is a very good motion sensor faucet with well thought out features like a 2 minute shut off if you forget to wave goodbye :).

I left the old faucet I when I got up at night without my hearing aids, which made me the subject it ridicule as you can imagine.

Now I can get a glass of water anytime and walk away unworried. It is a little tricky getting the glass out of the way while the water is still running.

The installation is not complicated except most of it will be done on your back under the sink. It was a difficult position for a 72 year old.

The faucet worked perfectly until it stopped as I was cleaning up. What could it be? A google search produced lots of similar complaints. I backtracked what I had done - bingo I added an extra weight to make the spray hose zip back in place. Once the extra weight was removed, the faucet worked perfectly. The moral is don’t improvise.

Now to get a hands free bathroom faucet with variable temperature.
Got the package, which didn't look like it was in perfect shape, but not atypical of amazon shipping. Opened up the package and it seems like most of the package was ok. However loose batteries were rolling around the package, and some parts seemed to have been opened or rearranged. I suspect this was a returned package of some sort. I'm installing this in about 6 weeks, and don't want to find out after the plumber puts it together that it was returned because of some dysfunction that I'm stuck with.
Works great. Order the receptacle plug in. Had it for 5 years now. Have to replace the hose as it is leaking thru the hose in the middle for no apparent reason. The handle comes loose frequently and the entire faucet becomes loose after about a year of use and requires retightening. The electronics work flawlessly as I have it connected to 110V through an aftermarket adapter.
